Why do people get inspired?

Just like standing in front of the sea and calling to the fish as a fisherman. Inspiration is the sand calling for the waves to rock against it. The reason the sand calls for the sea is that the blazing sun would melt it away, and it would much rather like to be licked up. A fish doesn’t willingly get caught by a fisherman. A fisherman must be skilled but unlike the skill of a fisherman there is no challenge to inspiration. Naturally, Inspiration calls the person to it like sand does for the waves.People don’t just get inspired. The question isn’t a why do we get inspired but rather how do we call our natural passion on stage. Inspiration is the sand. But motivation is the sea. Often we can not be inspired without being motivated. Its like eating pizza without the sauce. Its just not possible to enjoy the taste of bland pizza. We may drink water but we tend to do it because we need to not because we enjoy it.Inspiration is sand – A Good Life – Medium

Do you think it is important to be able to inspire people in order to be an effective leader? Why?

Leadership is all about leading your people. Therefore it is important to inspire them. Treat them as your customers. You will never be able to achieve any results without them. If you are unable to inspire your people, you will never be an effective leader.

How can I effectively inspire and motivate someone to do something?

There are multiple reasons. My mother and my dad divorced when I was 3. I saw my dad twice. When I saw him for the first time I had 17. Before, he would call me sometimes at my birthday telling me he would meet me to a restaurant. He never did, he was drunk when he called me. He would never have the courage to see me in person. He felt bad at himself. He didn’t finish high school and didn’t have a nice appearance (based on when I saw him when I was 17).At 17, I was finishing high school and I told him I would apply in university. I didn’t know exactly in what at that time. But it was something for him to be proud. Next year, in summer 2008, I’ve heard that he was at the hospital. When we got there, he was in a coma. When he first called, he could still speak, but his health quickly deteriorates.I couldn’t know if he was hearing me, he was between life and death. My entire family was there (except my sisters). I meant aunts, uncles and everything. One moment, I was alone with him. The emotional burden was too hard to handle so I went downstairs. I didn’t know at that moment that my grandfather was also hospitalized one floor below. When I approached the room of my grandfather, the nurse supposed I wanted to take him near his son (my father). I said yes, but that wasn’t my intention. I just wanted to leave the room at first. It was a good coincidence.My grandfather was in a wheel chair so when we approached the room of my dad, a nurse came and told me he was already dead. I will never know what were the last words of my father.The reason I’m so motivated is that I analyze deeply the work of my grandfather and father. Especially, my father I’m thinking that if he had my chances he would do everything to be successful. I’ll talk about my grandfather later if I have the opportunity. I’ll stop here because it’s getting long.
