"She keeps me grounded" - what does this mean?
In this context, "grounded" means stable, in the right place, on the right path, head on straight, etc. When someone keeps you grounded, she keeps you from getting upset, being arrogant, going crazy, and/or making foolish decisions.
To keep somebody grounded...what does that mean?
Being grounded means to be realistic ... to be earthy and natural ... to not have your head in the clouds and full of silly dreams (but it's OK to dream). To keep someone else grounded would be to help them be real and honest and natural. To be a strong force in their life and help them be grounded.
What does keeping someone on standby mean?
It's not a standard phrase or expression, so it doesn't always MEAN the same thing. What it COULD mean is what the first answerer said: Considering someone in case your other choices don't work. An alternative choice, person-wise.
Why do girls keep guys on standby?
Coming from a man or a woman the "I don't know what I want" statement is a mark of maturity and respect. The roots of these statements are self-awareness and the courage to be both open and honest about ones feelings. In my experience both as recipient and as an issuer of such statements it means that they or I need to (and are) taking some time to do some soul-searching before I/they make any commitments. At such times there is nothing that either person can do (except be open to dialog) to expedite the decisions that need to be made. This said; I MUST add here that if you are the recipient of such a statement it is always a good idea to declare that you are willing to make yourself available to them in whatever manner they feel would be helpful to them in making the decisions. Issuing ultimatums (if not carefully thought out) is usually not a good idea in these situations. Impatience in some forms is a red-flag behavior. I think that it is rare to be both unwilling to move forward and unwilling to cut someone loose. In my experience the typically scenario is a declaration of being; at a given point in time, unprepared to move forward with the additional statement that you/they know that it is not fair to you to the person to whom it is said to ask them to wait for a decision. Every situation of this type needs to be evaluated on its own merits by the person that it is said to. You asked: "What the heck do you do with that?" What I do with this is to remember that someone that possesses the self-awareness and courage to be open about such a situation is far more likely to be a good long-term partner than someone that does not possess these qualities. I assure you that acknowledging and even thanking the person for having the courage and self-awareness that it took to tell you that they were unready to commit is a very good thing to do when you are the recipient of such a statement. You can declare your frustration in this context. But do acknowledge them for doing the right thing. Their is a finite amount of time which one can remain in this situation without realizing some progress toward a resolution; but that finite amount of time can be hours or weeks depending on the situation. I truly hope that this makes sense to you and gives you some clarity.
Is it possible to set a phone on dual LTE Standby(setting both sim cards on ‘LTE Only’ network mode at same time)?
I have not come across devices that support LTE in both SIM slots at same time, either Dual SIM dual Standby or Dual SIM dual active. Some of the phones do brand themselves as Dual SIM Dual LTE, which essentially means that both the SIM slots do support LTE SIM Card. But at any given point of time only one will be active. I have heard that QC is coming up with chipset that would eventually support Dual LTE SIM at the same time.LG G4 claims to be dual SIM dual LTE, but a fine print shows the following:You may select SIM1 or SIM2 for the reception of 4G LTE network without having to change SIM card physically.Probably the branding is done strongly because earlier phones used to have LTE capability only in SIM slot 1.To answer your question, you will probably have to wait for sometime to get dual LTE SIM phone, in true sense. And your current phone will not support LTE on both SIM slots at the same time.
My computer keeps hard resetting at random times and I've tried everything I need some professional insight?
Ive had this problem for a while and I finally decided to do something about it. My computer likes to hard reset whenever it feels like it. I can keep it on standby for a day or two without it doing it (i usuallyshut it down though) and i can only use it doing tasks that arent demanding for about 5 hours and once it resetes then it does it every 30 minutes. Thats just extremlyannoying. The real problem is when i run demanding games or powerful programs if last at most 30 minutes if not 5. I spent a lot of money naking this a powerful conputer and im dissappointed that i cant use it for big tasks. I cant find the reason it does this. Ive unplugged the reset button (in case there was some sort of short) changed the hard drive and ran plenty of tests (SMART, etc) all to no avail. I check the tempagure via the BIOS after it resets but it is nothing unusual. I am sure my computer has enough [electric] power to handle the hardware conponents i have put in. I have a System76 Wilddog Performance tower PC. It has a GTX 780 GPU and 16 gigs RAM and two 2.86 GHz Quad-core intel processors and I am currently booting off of a 1tb HDD. PS3 stuck in standby mode - any easy fix?
The PS3 (60gb) I just bought is stuck on standby - suddenly!!! Is there an easy remedy to this; holding the power button to force a test screen doesn't seem to help. Is there an easy fix to this that I can perform at home? I can't seem to find any service person who lists this as a major problem. I guess that it may be straight forward to solve. Any help will be appreciated.
