Why does Deloitte even exist? Does it code?

I think you are referring to Deloitte Digital (DD) and will answer the questions in reverse order. First, DD launched in the summer of 2012 and quickly went international. At present Deloitte Digital has offices in South Africa, Australia, UK (London and Dublin), SE Asia and the U.S.Domestically, the Seattle-based headquarters seems to have ample coders, social media managers, and analytics specialists. Globally, DD hosts hackathons, networking events, and talks quite a bit about UX on their blog. Digitally, they have a portfolio of projects that indicate they code when the project calls for that skill set. Divisions of large management consulting firms, such as Deloitte and Accenture, exist for at least two purposes: generate revenue and provide additional value to companies. The former primarily results from billable hours whereas the latter is another offering to pitch potential/current clients. On what basis will people be selected for onsite jobs in TCS, and as a fresher how long will we have to wait to get an onsite opportunity?

Hi Anisha ,I worked in TCS for 14 months .I have never got any onsite opportunities. And not willing too. However I can share you some experiences. If you are in a domain other than INDIA domain then you can hope for onsite .I was in India domain but I saw few of colleagues got onsite. Here is howThey have been working with same project 4+ years .In project every 2 to 3 years team changes as most of them switches to other project or company. Those guys who work for more than 4+ years in same project .Their dependency on project is very high. They demand for onsite else they put papers (Resign).I saw a guy who put papers n requested for onsite.TCS agreed to give him onsite.Onsite its all depend on which domain you are in and how project has dependency on you.I would say at least min 4 years in TCS and good work will fetch you to onsite .Hope it helpsHappy to help!Manju

Where can I find remote jobs as a junior developer?

There are several sites out there that specialize in remote job listings. In addition to shamelessly plugging my own site (https://www.remotelyawesomejobs.com), which aggregates multiple job board listings, here are a few that I used when hunting for remote tech jobs:We Work Remotely (Remote Jobs: Design, Programming, Rails, Executive, Marketing, Copywriting, and more.)Stack Overflow Careers (Jobs - Stack Overflow) - Filter for Remote using the Location dropdown.Authentic Jobs (Web, Design, Freelance, and Tech Jobs) - Use the toggle on the left to filter for remote.Jobspresso (Jobspresso) - This is a newer job board that has some gemsRemoteOK (Remote Jobs for Digital Nomads)WhoIsHiring is a cool board that graphically displays open jobs from sites like Hacker News, but you can filter on Remote friendly jobs. The nice thing about smaller startups is that they may be more willing to “take a chance” on a more Junior developer (Who is hiring - whoishiring.io)Angelist has a “remote channel” for job postings from small startups - again, some (but definitely not all) startups are less risk averse to hiring a Junior dev. (Remote Jobs - AngelList)One more shameless plug for my own site, which aggregates posts from all of these sites - (https://www.remotelyawesomejobs.com)Where you’re a Junior developer, you might also have better luck finding a contracting position to start out. Companies are sometimes more willing to give newer developers a shot when it’s a contract position because there’s less commitment. Once you’ve proven yourself that way, you can search for longer-term gigs.Good luck!

Is it possible for someone to obtain fake international phone numbers, e.g. numbers that are identified by caller ID as UK or Italy numbers?

These virtual phone numbers are not ‘fake’ in any way; it’s just that calls are delivered over the internet, rather than on copper wire or from a cell tower.Hundreds of companies can provide them. While anyone can get a UK or Italy number, in many countries regulations require you to show proof of a local address to obtain a number. If you want to experiment, you can sign up at Numbergroup Frontpage and get a free UK number that rings to their app or your own VoIP device or app. Incoming calls are free and you can make a few outbound calls as part of the free trial. However, their outbound call prices are higher than most; investigate several companies before making a decision.
