What Does Stay/night Mean In Fate/stay Night

Fate zero and fate stay night?

Fate/zero is about the events that happened 10 years prior to fate/stay night so its technically a prequel. I'd recommend watching in the order they were made though, so Fate/Stay Night first then zero.

If you mean the movie "Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works" then it is based off the Visual Novel. Just like most VNs there are plenty of different routes you can take, and the movie just follows one of those.

Fate / Stay Night HELP?

Fate/Stay night came out first so I say watch It first, even though it is ten years after Fate/Zero.

Then watch Unlimited Blade works it is the a movie from Fate/stay night, same characters.

Then watch Fate/ Zero it may have happened 10 years prior to stay night but doesn't mean you watch it first or need to.

Fate/Prototype was what the series was gonna gonna be originally but changes were maybe thus we have the characters of Fate/Stay night and not the ones from fate prototype. It's like seeing the shadow of a person before seeing the actual person them self. While the shadow show some characteristics of the person it is not the final and true form. Fate/Stay night is the true form of the finished product. So doesn't matter when you watch it. But I'd say watch after yo watch everything else, like when there a no more new Fate/Zero episodes out.

Fate stay night ending?

So I'm not the only one who quite dun understand the ending either... well, I tried to understand... but I reached no final words...

But according to my fren, she thought of it like this : All that's been happening in the anime is all Saber's dreams... So after she fell asleep again, she'll end up in Shiro's world again!

So my conclusion from that... What happen in the whole story really did happen... I mean all those battles, search for Holy Grail, deaths, magicians n sorcerers... all were real! But the appearance of Saber in the story was bcoz she entered Shiro's world through her dream. So, after she fell asleep again n dream, probably she could come back!! Sorry making things complicated for u... Guess this not so helping, huh?

Who is the most powerful servant in Fate/stay night?

Gilgamesh.By a landslide. We're talking about a being that can quite easily destroy the world. He has Ea, he has the prototype of every noble phantasm coming from humans and/or Gaia.He destroyed Berserker without breaking a sweat. His only downfall is his arrogance. In Fate, if he chose to do a Noble Phantasm spam instead of facing Saber with Ea, trying to overpower Excalibur, he would have won.In Unlimited Bladeworks, he could have easily killed Shirou if he took him seriously enough. I mean, a fully unleashed Gate of Babylon or even taking out Ea from the get go would have did Shirou in before casting his reality marbleIn Heaven's Feel, he was arrogant when he attacked Shadow Sakura, but if he would have been a tad bit more cautious, he could have certaily found something in his Gate that would have be effective against her.All in all, Gilgamesh is the most powerful servant in Fate/Stay Night, but I think Nasu said Karna was stronger overall. Anyway, the Nasuverse works more like rock-paper-scissors than plain powerlevels. Even if Gilgamesh is the strongest servant, Archer could have won in a straight on confrontation if he had Rin as his master, just because he is a natural counter to Gilgamesh. He can Trace weapons faster than Gilgamesh can bring them out of the Gate, and it's entirely possible that he can snipe his arm off before he can bring out Ea.

What happened at the end of Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night?

1) Why does the Grail not grant the wishes?Kiritsugu Emiya, despite his methodic and calm way of operation was still only wishing for a miracle. He had not thought of concrete ways to achieve it. The Grail is incapable of granting true miracles. Emiya's entire plan is undone by that small detail.2) Why is Kiritsugu's ideal so wrong in the first place? A bit of this is left to your own thoughts. My interpretation is that one can never save everyone. Like in the Grail's example, in a real-time scenario, if Kiritsugu had to save the maximum out of 500 people, he would start out trying to save 300, and end up killing 300 instead. That is his core flaw. His mental make-up works on a machine-like ideal, and that is not suited for any savior-like situation.3) Why is Shiro's ideal wrong?Well, as per the VN, there are two conclusions Shiro comes to. In the Unlimited Blade Works route, Archer points out the flaws in Shiro's ideals. Archer berates Shiro for being a faker, someone who's only fit to copy and imitate, and that extends to his very ideal too, that of becoming a Hero Of Justice! This is encapsulated in Shiro's own quote : "I'm still against the Holy Grail War. But I'll fight until the end for sure. I have no wish that I need the Holy Grail to grant. …But I want to protect others, like a superhero. I don't think my wish is inferior. So I have to fight against the wishes of others, even if they are five hundred or a thousand years old."However, Shiro argues that he WILL find a way, somehow. The solution is not given, as is with most things in life. But somehow, there is a sense of hope, because Shiro Emiya is just that kind of person. In Heaven's Feel, there is an interesting breakdown of Shiro's idea. He is forced to give it up in the face of love, in the face of saving what means more to him, forcing him to choose between his beloved Sakura and his ideal.Note that, Fate/Stay Night (the VN), originally written by Kinoko Nasu, dabbles more in philosophy as compared to Gen Urobuchi's dark remix of the Fate world in Fate/Zero. This means a lot more is left to your interpretation. Again, like the previous answer, even though you're against reading the VN, I would highly recommend it, especially as you seem so interested. It is by a far a very different experience as compared to watching the anime.
