What Does The Term Ev Spread Mean

What does "IV" mean in Pokémon GO?

IV stands for “Individual Value”In Pokémon Go, IV’s are different for every Pokémon. Your Pikachu will have different IV’s than your friend’s Pikachu, and it’ll also be different from a Weedle you caught. There are three IV’s that are added onto a Pokémon's base stats. Each Pokémon species has a set base stat of Attack, Defense, and Stamina. You can find them here: Pokemon GO Tools, References, and StatsIV ranges from 0–15, and they are added to a Pokémon's base stat. The higher the better, so a Pikachu with IV’s of15 Atk14 Def15 Staminawould be more competitively viable than a Pikachu with IV’s of10 Atk2 Def4 StaminaThe above Pikachu has a total of 44/45, which makes it 97% perfect, whilethe below Pikachu has a total of 16/45 which makes it 35% perfect.A Pokémon should be above 75% perfect to be used competitively. To find the IV’s of your Pokemon, visit my answer: How does the new appraisal system work in Pokémon GO?

What does this Quote mean? PLEASE HELP!?

I suppose he is speaking to a certain subset of society that holds out for the perfect mate, and never ends up finding them. The theory is that you can often grow to love someone you might not find ideal when you first meet them. Give love a chance if you have been lonely for a while, and are not finding anyone you think you want on the surface.

Help, whats does this mean, a poem(answere ques to it)?

According to the poet, what are"living temples of our God below"?

throught all the heav'ns what beauteous dyes are spread
But the west glories in the deepest red
So may our breasts with ev'ry virtue glow,
The living temples of our god below

What would be a good moveset and EV spread for a Giratina-O?

Why are you using Giratina-O on a team with 3 Dragons

That's all I have to say

EDIT: Heh, don't underestimate me.

Yes there's lots of Dragons in Ubers. While this could mean that it's okay to run multiple of them, the opposite is also true since you'll be running into at least one Dragon in almost every matchup. Before I start trying to give suggestions I will admit I'm not great at teambuilding either (I'm knowledgeable about Ubers ya but teambuilding isn't my strong suit unless it's pointing out some glaring flaws) though

Anyways, in terms of dealing with major threats in Ubers, I feel you don't really have much of a way around CM Arceus formes outside of the direct offensive pressure. If, say, an Arceus-Ghost managed to pull two Calm Minds off you could pretty much kiss your chances of victory goodbye. As such, Ho-oh's Tank Set will do you nicely as it laughs at the most Arceus formes that lack Physical moves and it also benefits from the sun.

You could also replace your Zekrom with Forretress's Support Set, since Ho-oh/Forretress/Groudon make a good Sun core and Forretress can spin away any hazards, which seems to be something your team isn't exactly very fond of. Additionally, Zekrom doesn't really add anything new to the team, pretty much all the coverage Zekrom gets is also covered by Kyurem-W.

However, if you really just want to use another Dragon for whatever reason, you're probably best off with Latias, either its Classic CM set or All-Out Attacker set. Latias is really good at beating Kyogre, which is a boon for sun of course, has some decent synergy with Steelceus, is much faster than Giratina-O and also has reliable recovery.

Other edits you could try are using Will-o-Wisp on Arceus Steel (to be honest I prefer its Support Set over the Calm Mind set but the CM set also works fine with Will-o-Wisp) to check EKiller much more reliably, and using Groudon's Support set over the Offensive SR set for longevity and checking EKiller (only if you choose to use Ho-oh though)

Think that's all I have to say for now.

Pokemon Emerald: suggest EV spread for this Poochyena?

listen,
31 iv in hp is not good(unless using blissey
i think you should try to find a pooch with 31 iv in attack instead

What does IV do for a Pokemon?

Depends on the game, but I’ll assume you mean the main series games. Generation III and onwards, each Pokémon’s stats are computed using the following two formulae:As you can see, the IVs simply added to twice the base stat and a quarter of the EVs and then scaled up linearly with the level (plus a couple other odds and ends). The IV for each stat ranges from 0 to 31. EVs/4 range from 0 to 63. Base stats are specific to each Pokémon species, but can range anywhere from 10 to 230.So to summarize:IVs are an absolutely no-downside addition to a Pokémon’s stats (with a few exceptions, there’s no reason not to have 31 across the board in IVs)They have roughly twice the impact of EVs (but this depends on your EV spread of course, and EVs are easier to control)They also play a role in affecting a Pokemon’s Hidden Power.

Evaluate My Houndoom?

You mean EV training. IV breeding is sometime else. TBH, your Houndoom could be better. The idea isn't usually to max out all stats. The idea is usually to maximize a pokemon's strengths. This isn't the case all the time, but its often best to focus on a pokemon's strenghts rather than try to patch up its weakness, statwise.

The first thing to look at is its nature. A Lonely or Hasty Houndoom would be better. Houndoom's Defense is crap, so making that even lower isn't a problem, and it has decent Special Defense. Lonely nature boosts Attack, while Hasty boosts Speed. Both are stats Houndoom wants more of. As for an EV spread, it depends on if your Houndoom is gonna be a mixed attacker or a special attacker. For mixed, it should be: 252 Attack, 4 Special Attack, 252 Speed. Houndoom's Special Attack is naturally better than its Attack (which isn't bad), so this lets it have good speed, attack, and special attack. A strictly special Houndoom would be like this: 252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP. This spread maximizes Houndoom's Special offensive potential.

A great place to go to get an idea of what EVs, moves, items, and nature for a pokemon are good, go to Smogon. This is Houndoom's Smogon page: http://www.smogon.com/bw/pokemon/houndoo...
You can look up other pokemon by typing the name in the search box in the upper right, or Googling [insert pokemon's name here] smogon.

What do ‘stops’ mean in photography?

It refers to the aperture of the lens Aperture - WikipediaIn still image camera lenses, the settings for the aperture are referred to as “f-stops” because they are conventionally labeled or measured as “f/n” , a ratio in which F is the focal length of the lens divided by N, the diameter of the theoretical circle approximated by the aperture mechanism of the lens (usually a set of movable blades). This ratio allows comparisons of light transmission of lenses of different focal length. For example, a 200mm lens with an aperture of 50mm would be f/4 as would be a 100mm lens with aperture of 25mm. Both transmit the same amount of light to the film or digital sensor because light, like any radiating energy, dissipates in proportion to the distance (ie. focal length) over which it is transmitted; it is spread over a greater area as it radiates farther.Still camera lens apertures are conventionally set and marked at “stops” in a progression of multiples of 1.4 (approximately the square route of 2) like f/1.4, f/2.0, f/2.8, f/4.0, f/5.6… which represents a doubling or halving of light for each stop, depending on which direction of changed setting. Setting of f/4 is a larger aperture (letting more light pass) than f/5.6 because the smaller denominator of the fraction works out to a larger result, like 1/2 is bigger than 1/4.Edited to add: F-stop is functionally equal to an EV, exposure value, which is a way of describing the doubling or halving of net exposure effect on film or digital sensor or image output without respect to the kind of adjustment: aperture size, shutter speed, ASA/ISO number (i.e. sensitivity to light of film, digital sensor) or computer algorithm (e.g. Photoshop tonal curves). The term “EV” was created because an “f-stop equivalent” is awkward to say and type and because it’s not precise for any thing besides aperture.
