What Does This Charge Mean Stepson Sentanced And Serving Time But I Think He

My 17 year old step son is masturbating in front of my 3 old daughter, HELP HELP HELP PLEASE?

Hi,
Maybe I can help, I work in litigation field in Florida and this is how it usually goes, you file a report and then they question your daughter and after that they have to do a physical in order to make sure there isn't any penetration. They are not going to take your daughter away because if she tell the truth he will be arrested and you have the right to not let him back into your house ever again. The law considers him an adult at 17. You can also get a restraining order and no contact order. If I were you I would hurry up and get to the police department and get everything taken care of you don't want to wait too long. Good Luck and I am really sorry for everything that happened to you if it was my child that witnessed that I would probably lose it and kill the bastard.

How does a stepfather deal with a stepson that disrespects you like a father however is immune to discipline from the stepdad due to the moms wishes?

I myself am a product of divorce, and subsequent step family. I am in my 50’s and still occasionally try to understand my own place in the ensuing mess. You haven’t mentioned a natural father which to me is significant, whether he’s present in his life or not. Significant in that you’re not trying to see how it is for him, only you. Please have empathy for your step son. What has happened is that the world he thought was solid is in fact built on quicksand. He has no control or power over his own life. There is a strange man in his house who is demanding ‘respect’ from him. And that man will always be a stranger until and unless you take a lot of time to get to know him, show him respect first, and find something to build a solid relationship. This will take a long time. Your wife also has a major responsibility in bridging that gap. Natural families are together from birth. It is unrealistic to expect happy families when a bunch of steps are thrown together. Did anybody ask how he felt about you getting married, or if he wanted a step brother? Probably not. That is 2 relationships that you want a child to fix.It sounds like I’m down on you, you’re probably a nice bloke, but I would strongly suggest you get some professional ideas about how to make it work. That is your job, not your stepson’s.

I'm a fellon my step son is awol can I be charged with aiding and abetting?

No one has been prosecuted for aiding and abetting an
AWOL service member since Vietnam.

You should go to www.girights.org and if you cant get an answer from the website call their free hotline. They are experts on this topic.

On a side note it is rediculous that people keep bringing up death as a punishment for desertion. Yes it is technichally a possibility but the last person to be executed for desertion was 49 years ago. Since the start of the Iraq war over 40,000 soldiers from all branches have deserted and none of them were executed. Even back in WWII when execution was more likely 49 out of 21,000 deserters were sentenced to death and only ONE was executed.

To date, no service member from the Iraq war has received a sentence of more than 18 months for desertion or missing movement.

Has anyone in the United States plead guilty and received the death penalty?

Although it is far more common for defendants to agree to plea bargains where they admit guilt and forfeit their right to trial in order to avoid the death penalty, a guilty plea does not, standing alone, mean that a defendant cannot receive the death penalty.  Every criminal trial is going to have two phases:  (1) liability and (2) sentencing, often referred to as the "guilt phase" and the "penalty phase."  A guilty plea is merely an admission of criminal liability, so without a charging/sentencing agreement in place, it would still be possible for the trier of fact (i.e., a jury) to sentence a defendant to death.  This is not a common occurrence, but it is still possible, although off the top of my head, I cannot think of a case in the 21st century where this occurred. As far as admission of guilt while on death row is concerned, although it is common for the condemned to maintain innocence, numerous death row inmates have admitted their guilt, whether before, during, or after trial.

How does a prisoner's incarceration affect family and friends?

From my perspective, the family gets incarcerated, too. I get a visit once every four months from my mother and sometimes my father for an hour, and a person who gets regular visits once told me that he can see the look on her face, a look of worry, wondering “If her baby’s alright.” It’s stressful for my family due to me being in this dangerous situation. I do see my sister once every couple of years, but I don’t really get visits much. Other family members don’t come at all; maybe it’s too painful to see me here. Also I’m glad I have a pay number at my job; it can also be burdensome financially on families. There are a lot of cases where it’s too burdensome and the family drops off because it’s just too much! I used to mentally switch places and imagine my mother or father were locked up and what it would feel like for me (or maybe if  my sister was incarcerated). The feeling I got was terribly distressing; it was so hard on me I would turn off the image in my mind quickly. So I can imagine how stressful it is for them. All communications between inmates and external channels are facilitated by approved volunteers since inmates do not have access to the internet. My son was arrested and i need HELP!!?

My 15 year old son recently was caught with 3 other friends in possession of half a pound of marijuana, a bag of ecstasy, and at least 5 packs of cigs. They were all in a car at the time and were pulled over and caught. My son has been in jail for almost a week. I finally found out all of his charges.

Possession of marijuana/controled substance-class 5 felony
Possession of ecstasy/controled substance-class 4 felony i think
Tobacco charge-petty offense if I'm not mistaken
Intent to sell-class 4 felony

He has only been in trouble once before and I'm so scared what this will do to his future. He keeps almost straight A's, but with these charges??? His court date is in one week he's already been in juvie for a week. Will he even get to come home? what do i do with him? punishments? HELP?!?!

Is it dangerous to have a prison pen pal?

I am answering as someone who taught in prison for a few years at both men and women's max security. Here are a few of the situations I am aware of regarding pen pals.A convict who'd been in and out of prison for 18 of his 33 years once told me that people on the outside are either looking for love or money. Finding out what motivates them is how inmates control their new friends for their benefit. — He also noted that his best contacts are overweight women with lower self-esteem because many crave the attention. An inmate in for molestation became engaged to a woman with 3 kids while serving his sentence. She planned to move him in when he was released in 6 months. They'd been corresponding for 2+ years. I asked how often they'd visited in person. Once. He'd been in prison twice, once for incest and this time for numerous counts of molestation.A woman (who I actually knew on the outside of prison) was sentenced to life for killing her husband. She also had an affair with her stepson and became pregnant by her attorney during her trial. She was quite attractive, very barbie doll in her appearance. — While she was located at the max prison where I taught I became aware that she was running a scam in which she'd tell numerous pen pals that her breast implants were leaking. Photos of her chest were sent, of course, as added visual stimulation. She'd collected thousands of dollars from people in their effort to help.Perhaps you believe you are going to find the 1 inmate who's truly good at heart. Well, please also remember that heart is just one aspect of one's personality. …the mind is powerful. Emotions can be faked. Mental illness can be difficult for a layman to recognize through simple correspondence. Impulse control issues aren't as likely to be recognized when someone is locked in a highly regulated environment.
