What Effect Can Fast Rides At Theme Parks Have On Children Physically

When people pass out on a theme park ride what exactly happens to the brain to shut off all senses? Is there some kind of advantage to it?

That doesn't happen because there is an advantage to it, it happens because the brain doesn't get enough oxygen.  Compare for example a situation where the air intake to a car's engine gets blocked, and the engine quits.  It doesn't quit because it was designed to, it quits because it can't run without oxygen.  Same story for the theme park ride:  a combination of excitement and altered blood flow due to altered gravitational forces causes the brain to get insufficient oxygen, and then it can't function well enough to maintain globally organized information processing.

How do you describe the feeling of riding a roller coaster?

Rollercoaster rides are extremely thrilling, suspenseful and exhilarating.Imagine yourself getting into your seat and getting strapped in. You can hear the buzzing of excitement from your fellow passengers. They talk about previous times and how thrilling this is. You can literally feel all the animosity as your neck hair peaks with anxiousness. The ride slowly takes off and you start the incline. Your ears are hypnotized by the clicking of the gears while, you watch yourself climb higher and higher. Your blood starts rushing and you can feel every foot you climb.Dramatically, your climb starts to slow as you reach the acme of the structure. All the noises stop and you feel a rumbling as gravity rips the cars down, the wind is slapping you in the face as it would if, you put your head out of the window of a speeding car.The ear piercing screams of all the thrill seekers behind and infront of you only boost the adrenal glands into full throttle, as your body is shaking from the twists turns and loops. The excitement consumes you as you feel the sling shot of velocity ever drop you take. Then you get spit out to a straightaway that yields the while experience and you feel your body still in motion, while your brain adjusts you still feel the adrenaline flowing fast. The ride then comes to a stop and you either feel like doing it again and again or, you feel like crawling into a dark motionless hole feeling terrified.

How do I replace a lost Great America season pass?

Since you do indeed have a pass, head down to the park and go to the customer service counter where you purchased your Season Pass.

You will need a photo ID as well as your $15 to prove you are the card member. Once this is done they will issue you a new pass.

The only catch is that you physically have to go to the park.

Can you ride on a roller coaster while you Pregnant?

No but you can play games to pass the time away. You can ride the merry go round and the big wheel thing.I always forget what its called.I rode this thing that spun in a circle that was an up and down circle and believe me I could feel where my baby was and I got sicker than anything!!She doesn't want to go on anything that goes fast cuz it will make you sick. Not only that but you can miscarry.

What does the rider experience when riding the amusement park ride Gravitron (also called Alien Abduction)?

A lot of centrifugal force! In my experience, the enclosed Gravitron ride doesn’t make one dizzy since you can’t tell anything is spinning at first. The walls are angled and you lean against a padded backrest that has wheels and will roll up the wall as the speed increases.Essentially you start to feel very heavy and plastered against the cushion, and there’s a bit of a startling thrill where you’re immobilized and then your feet lift off the floor as your backrest rolls up the wall, often with a bang as it hits the top. This happens at various times depending on each rider’s specific weight. If the operator knows how, they can often keep the ride at a speed where most people will “float” midway on their wheeled track halfway between the bottom and top of the wall.“Alien Abduction” is a really clever theme since you “lie” against a padded table, then become immobilized by the spinning force against the wall, then lift off the ground. In pitch blackness that’s exactly what it would feel like - with narration and some well chosen lighting and special effects this would work perfectly!I rode this as an early teen at carnivals with no theming except “isn’t it cool we’re in a spinning room with heavy metal music playing?” and since the ride operator was permissive, I was able to maneuver myself “sit” cross-legged on the wall with no problem. This might not work with heavier people who have to overcome more pull from the spinning, or if the ride operator is strict about no gymnastics during the ride.

Is it normal for your stomach to hurt on a roller coaster? Why?

When you say “hurt” do you mean “injured” or “ill”?If your stomach is ill, that isn’t unusual. You’re subjecting your body to forces it’s not used to. Here’s an experiment: Take a half-full 2-liter bottle of soda and toss it up in the air and catch it a couple of times. Let it flip upside down to simulate a ride on a roller coaster. Do this carefully and don’t let it hit the ground. Now open the soda and watch it explode from the agitation it experienced. If you have any food in your stomach (which converts food to a liquid via caustic stomach acid) that’s what’s happening in there during a coaster ride. If you have a strong stomach it won’t bother you too badly, but eating too much before any strenuous activity including turbulent movement is never a good idea.If you’re having muscular pain in your stomach there could be several causes. You may have been tensed up during the ride and caused a “stitch” in your stomach which is a minor cramp. Or you may have made your stomach muscles sore from screaming or laughing. The other possibility is that the ride restraints may have impacted your stomach during a rough section of track, or from a sudden stop at brakes if you are thrown forward. You’d probably be aware if and when that happened. If riding any ride creates pain that doesn’t seem to be caused by any of this, you should visit a doctor and get it checked out, or get to the medic at the park if it’s serious and acute pain.
