What Ethnicities Am I

What ethnicity am i?

So my great-great grandparents are both from Spain but moved to Puerto Rico and had a daughter (my great grandmother). Since she was born there does that make her 100 percent Puerto Rican or is she still 100 percent Spanish because of her parents? Or just a little of both?

What ethnicity do I look?

WASP

I'm Australian,Anglosaxon,Caucasia... confused about which of these is my 'ethnicity'.Help?

I noticed that you mentioned Anglo-Saxon, so I suppose you could go with something along those lines. "Anglo-Celtic Australian" seems to be pretty suitable if you are of British &/or Irish ancestry.

However, if you are not of said ancestry, you could still use "Anglo-Australian"...in the same way that "Anglo-American" is used by Anglicised non-WASP European Americans.

Australian will do nicely too, although it's probably less of an ethnicity and more of a civic entity nowadays. And Caucasian/White is a race, not an ethnicity.

And well, if you're REALLY confused, I suggest you take a 23andMe DNA test (no jokes). Trust me, you'll have much better knowledge of your ancestry in the process.

Can you guess my ethnicity?

What ethnicity is filipino?

they are mixed with a lot of races, just like singaporeans. but the original people who lived there were from asia.

What's my ethnicity? Am I latina?

I get told a lot that I look like I am latina/from Latin America. My moms side is French, French Canadian, and my dad's side is Native American, (Cherokee) bohemian, bohemian-Hungarian. I can't really ask him because we don't talk, he left before I was born. So, is there any way I could find out my ethnicity? Or specifically, latina/Hispanic?

Btw, I have medium brown hair naturally, and brown/hazel eyes and tan skin, but I'm still white, just pretty tan.

My surname is Chinese. What ethnicity am I?

Okay, so I've looked through he other questions you've asked and… my. You asked probably forty versions of this exact question, but with slight changes and different details. So here's what I know about you:You have a Chinese surname (Bai)Your surname on Quora is BaekYour parents are of Korean nationalityYour family has been Korean since ancient timesYou have a Chinese ancestorWho became a Korean national (in ancient times)You immigrated to CanadaYou also want to know if you can become a Chinese citizenFirst, next time don't create so many versions of the same exact question. It's pointless.Next, race, ethnicity, and nationality are different things. If you have become a Canadian citizen, then your nationality would be Canadian. If not, your nationality remains Korean. Nationality means which country you are a citizen of.Ethnicity is cultural and ancestral, and generally specific. If you were raised with Chinese culture, traditions, or anything remotely Chinese, or if you have any association with being Chinese, you could claim to be ethnically Chinese. However, since your last Chinese ancestor was from ancient times, that likely means that you don't have enough affiliation to China to claim ethnicity.(Chinese itself isn't usually a specific ethnicity though, so you would most likely be Han Chinese, unless you know that you are of some ethnic minority.)Keep in mind that you can also have multiple ethnicities. Being Korean and Chinese is perfectly valid.Race, then, is another, broader issue. I think you can just go with being Asian, or East Asian if you want to be more specific.Regardless, there's never a definite answer to questions about heritage. It's all muddled and in the end, worrying so much over small issues like these isn't worth your time. However, I get the feeling that the real reason you're asking is that you're wondering whether you can become a Chinese citizen based in your ancestry. I'd say, given how little Chinese blood you have in you, you have just as much of a chance as any other Korean.

What race am I, if My ethnicity is Hispanic/ Latino?

Spaniards are caucasian.

But were all your great grandparents from Spain, or only some? The others might have been native American/amerindian.
