What is your ethnicity if you are an Arab?
Given being raised Moroccan in America (USA), I've found much confusion in this topic.Whenever I've told Americans that I speak Arabic, they immediately jump to Middle Eastern stereotypes and countries, completely skipping North Africa.Whenever I've told Middle Eastern Arabs/speakers of Arabic that I am Moroccan, they speak to me in their ethnic dialect until we very quickly realize that our dialects aren't mutually intelligible. (Moreso I understand them a bit more than they understand me).Another main point to this would be that many people might not be aware of the ethnic divisions within Arabic-speaking countries. I will gladly acknowledge my Amazigh/”Berber" roots (after all, we Moroccans don't speak and look differently solely because we want to). If I actually spoke Tamazight, and had parents/family that did, I suppose my world view would be even more devisive in that I would be more connected to my native roots.Some might say that Arabic derived into multiple dialects-turned-languages similarly to Vulgar Latin and the Romance languages.And that's just language. The many other points of culture also distinguish us as groups of people further.Food for one. Multiple semolina-enhanced breads, sweet mint tea, chicken pies, and much more. (And many French pastries as well). Can't say I have much personal cultural context when some one brings up bulgur, grape leaves, samosas (too some extent), hummus, falafel, or shawarma, to name a few.Religion is also potentially a point, but let's leave that to the Lord. (Salam, brothers and sisters).

I'm doing a poll and am just curious about the most common ethnicity's- Include pics if you want and don't just be like "American" because if you are a Caucasian American or Australian it is actually impossible for you to be unless you're native. I'm Irish and German. I live in Australia. Look fore ward to the answers =]
What ethnicity are Jamaicans??
everyone knows ethnic groups such as White/Caucasion, Native American, Hispanic, Latino, Black/African, Asian, Pacific Islander, etc. well what ethnic group are Jamaicans???? because i have heard that they are not black, because blacks are african and jamaicans technically arn't black. SO IF ANYONE KNOWS, fill me in.
How can you know what your ethnicity is?
National Geographic has the National Geographic project. You can pay to have them ship you a DNA kit. You swab your mouth, send in the sample and in a few weeks they provide a detailed breakdown of your ethnicity. What ethnicity are albanians?
I am Albanian. We are white or Caucasian. If you want to be more specific, Caucasian is divided in Southern (South Europe) and Northern (Northern Europe), so Albanians are Southern Caucasian. Also: We are not Slavic. We are an ethnicity of our own and have no close connection with any other ethnicity. Caucasian by race, Albanian by ethnicity.
Why would an officer ask what ethnicity are you?
“Why would an officer ask what ethnicity are you?”Perhaps it is a scenario where ethnicity is not immediately evident from appearance.The ethnicity of most people is usually easy to discern. Yet, some have “ambiguous” appearances; it is difficult to immediately identify them ethnically or racially. They posses physical traits that are identifiable among many different ethnicities.And then beyond this there are those people who appear “X”, but identify as “Y”. In such a scenario law enforcement could easily make a wrong assumption…and they did one evening. I got lucky and beat a speeding ticket…because I was identified incorrectly. The officer failed to ask and rather just assumed my ethnicity. Big mistake.
Which ethnicity are you attracted to the most and why?
I'm white. I usually go with white guys...just cuz that's how it ends up. But am very attracted to black or mixed race guys.
