What Exactly Is Translucent Powder Make Up

Does translucent loose powder make your skin pale?

translucent and extra coverage sorta contradicts itself. since usually translucent powder is meant to set foundation and has minimum color.
but yes i would say it can, if you buy translucent powder to match your foundation, usually the color will show up lighter.
personally i don't suggest caking it on since it will lighten the overall foundation and look, but not as white as a ghost.

Why does translucent powder change the color of my make up?

heres a few possiblilties.
1. if you using covergirl ANYTHING they have a tendesy to make orange or pink based products. you really need to look for yellow undertones. liquid and powder unless your powder is translucent
2. if you arnt sure about what shade to get...always go lighter. lighter you can always make darker with bronzer and blush. but with a dark founation you cant take that away
3.Go with rimmel stay matte powder in 001 transparent. it looks light but really it just matches any skintone with out makeing it orange. it minimizes pores and controls oil well.
heres a review i did on it.

so remember. go with yellow undertones.(they suit anybody better than red or orange)
always go lighter or your EXACT skintone!
hope i helped hun! www.youtube.com/rainbowpritty subscibe!

What is the point of translucent powder?

I am a makeup artist for tweens and teens and this is a FAQ (frequently asked question) and A translucent powder sets the makeup while making the oils in your face turn into a soft finished look.
If you have oily skin you should use this over top of your foundation or pressed powder. Usually translucent powder is a loose powder and you apply it with a brush over top of the makeup that is on your face. this sets the makeup in a good spot to hold it in place and it also sucks up all of the oil. :) Translucent powder doesn't sound like a lot but, that little container can work wonders for your makeup :)
I hope I helped

it can deffinitely give you that matte look everyone is looking for. I use N.Y.C brand on all of my clients and myself :)
its a great brand it is drugstore :) $3.00 for each compact
good luck

What is the difference between transparent and translucent powder?

Transparent is a white clear that give that healthy nonmakeup look like Studio HD powder ..Translucent is a clear powdery white porcelain appearance ,powdery white fondation powder appearance for my color of white with white pink blush.....

What's is bronzer, luminous powder, & translucent powder?

To start with, I've used this particular kit before and I would rate it probably a 7 out of 10. Victoria's Secret has some great stuff, but at the same time, it's not completely "wow" factor. Now, bronzer is essentially a contour powder infused with tones of gold and yellow (sometimes even a tint of pink, but this is typically associated with blush). Bronzer is generally used to contour the face, which simply means to create natural shadows and highlights (depending on the product that you are using). It is typically used for people who want to achieve a tan look without causing permanent damage to the skin, but it can be used by pale-toned people (especially after a spray-tan). Lumionous powder is essentially a highlight that causes somewhat of a reflective glow due to shimmer used in the product. Shimmer is different from glitter; shimmer is a more soft, natural twinkle with smaller particles and glitter is typically larger particles and is more obvious as being unnatural. Finally, translucent powder helps create a matte finish to the face, which means it looks less shiny and oily and more natural. This would go over all of your face makeup in order to help smooth harsh contour lines and prevent you from looking too much like a mannequin.

What does translucent powder do? HELP!! 10points. MAKEUP QUESTION!!!!?

Translucent powder is used to set your foundation and decrease any excess oil as well. It is colourless so it will not add or negate from your makeup at all.

You can also use translucent powder under your eyes when applying eye shadows. Simply leave a bulk dusting of powder under your eye area, apply your eye shadow so it catches any drifting minerals that fall beneath your eye, and when finished, dust off with a powder brush. Will prevent any shadow stains from happening on your face during application.

Hope that helped.

Makeup for translucent skin?

I have translucent skin and you can see veins on my eyelids and under my eyes. All the makeup I have tried doesn't work very well. I have used both powder and liquid foundation, and then powder on top of liquid, but nothing seems to work, or it will come off in an hour or so. Do you have any suggestions that could help me?

Thanks.
