It depends what you want them to collaborate for. And would you only need to meet online? If that's the case, you wouldn't need to meet them locally. But getting people to audition for a collaborative dance/singing/gaming channel is very different. Each will need their own slight twist of the method. A good thing to do would to be to use forums on your given topic and look for like minded people - or make a post about it, so they can find you and then audition for your channel.
