What Game Should I Pre-order

Should we pre-order PS4 games?

I used to buy pre-orders, but I won’t do it anymore; all thanks to a scam called “No Man’s Sky”.Unless the pre-order offers offers 15% or more discounts, I won’t even consider it. I’d wait for the first week review before I make decision. If a hyped game turns out to be mediocre, you can expect it to appear in flash sales very soon.

Why should I preorder a ps3 game?

This ones easy the reason you pre order games are 2-fold.1. make sure you get a copy on opening night or at least within 48 hours of game release. I have to disagree with Brian's comment, I have been to multiple midnight releases at gamestop in which they ran out of games after the pre-orders were finished picking up, and the 2-3 they had left were on hold for pre-orders to pick up the next day. This happened for Destiny, Arkham Knight, and Black Ops 1 to name just a few. So if you want to make sure you get a copy of the game within the first 24 hours of the release date or at midnight release, pre-order is a must. If you can wait then no need to preorder. Oh another side note of this, if you pre-order and show up at gamestop around 6 or 9 depending on what game (ask ahead of time) you can get a ticket to hold your place in line (by group) which will significantly lower your wait time if you come back at midnight. I usually pre order the game, then on release date show up 30 minutes before golden ticket time, get in group one, leave, come back at 11:50, walk passed the huge line up to the front with group one and have my game and am back home within 10-12 minutes while some people wait in line forever because they won't let everyone in at once, just 1 group at a time.2. Pre-order bonus content. Sometimes the content is worthless, sometimes it's amazing. Pre-order content comes in the form of extra MP maps, extra weapons, custom suits, custom skins, extra abilities, extra playable characters. Look up the bonus ahead of time and see if you care, sometimes it really is worth it to pre order for the bonus content. And if you don't get it and then end up playing with everyone else who does have it... they may end up with an advantage you cannot ever get back (unless they eventually release it as buyable DLC) I guess as a third possible reason if you're extremely short on cash and you're one of those people who pays like 10 bucks a week till it's paid off that could be a reason too, though you could just put that 10 bucks aside every week and then buy it out right on release day. But anyways that's the reason you pre order games.

What to do when you preorder a game?

I answered a similar question once before, so I'm just going to copy MY answer.

if you're pre-ordering it from a retail store like GameStop/EB Games (I'm not sure about places like Best Buy as I've only done pre-orders at GameStop and on Amazon.com):
you walk in and say, "I would like to pre-order (insert game here)." then they ask how much you would like to put towards it. you MUST pay at least $5 for a regular copy of a game, or at least $10 for a special edition. or you could even pay the whole thing off. it costs you NOTHING extra. the amount you put down on it comes off the total price when you pick it up.

a lot of games you can pre-order right up to the day before it comes to stores. some may cut off earlier (most of the time that happens with games that get a LOT of reservations). it really all depends on the individual game.

yes, you certainly can pre-order online. again, it costs you NOTHING extra.

if you're pre-ordering from an online site such as Amazon.com:
you're basically just buying it as if it was already for sale. you just pay for it and it gets sent to you when it's released.

SIMPLE!

also, bonus items depend on the game. GameStop might have a pre-order bonus for (example) Final Fantasy XIII, while Amazon.com doesn't. or Amazon has the bonus while GameStop doesn't. so actually it depends on the game and the seller.

Which game should I preorder for PS4 right now?

If you're a fan of Spider-Man then i guess you can pre-order it. You also get three costumes that are unlocked early.

Do you ever preorder video games?

Some video game franchises have earned my trust by consistently putting out excellent products that do exactly what they say they will, and mastery of their genre. I’ll then read the pitch for the game and buy it on the pitch alone.Creative Assembly’s Total War is one such; they’ve had amazing battles (and a mediocre grand campaign) ever since Shogun 1. This meant that when I saw the pitch for Total Warhammer 1 (finally breaking out of historical and bringing the wizards and the dragons) I knew I could buy it sight unseen and it wouldn’t disappoint (and indeed it hasn’t). Neither has Total Warhammer 2 (and I’ve over 250 hours in both Total Warhammer 1 and 2) - but when it came to Thrones of Britannia I took one look and decided I wasn’t terribly interested. I’ll be back for both Three Kingdoms and Total Warhammer 3.Nintendo as far as I know have yet to put out an other than excellent game in the 2d Mario, 3d Mario, Legend of Zelda, Mario Kart, or Splatoon franchises, and even their weakest Smash game was very fun. Nintendo are excellent at polishing their games, and all those games have franchises behind them.On the other hand these are all established franchises with all the entries doing what they do and after Mass Effect 3 I’m not pre-ordering anything else published by EA (and Ubisoft are little better). I’m also never pre-ordering something that is either not by a long-established development studio (No Man’s Sky, I’m looking at you!) or part of an existing franchise (however good games Platinum Stuidos frequently produces). Atlus on the other hand may be pushing their way into this list for JRPGs - I’ll see when Shin Megami Tensei V comes out, and Naughty Dog would if I didn’t have far too many games in their genre already. So I onl do when I trust the developer and like the game - and that trust has got to be earned.

What does it mean when you pre-order a game?

Pre-ordering is basically buying a game ahead of time so they reserve a copy for you once it's released. If you pre-order from Amazon, I think they'll mail the game to you, but you'll have to read Amazon's policy on that to make sure. If you pre-order from gamestop, I'm pretty sure you'll have to go into the store to pick it up.

FIFA 18 Pre-Order?

One reason to not pre-order it is that Fifa games are all the same so it's not worth it. The only reason they release games yearly is that it's a big name so people buy the games which gives them more money.

I pre-ordered a game on GameStop.com as a guest?

If you have the Order Confirmation email, you can probably call GameStop with your order number and get it fixed. Also, if you are doing In-Store Pickup for your game, you are not actually charged any money until you go to pick it up. If this is your purchase method, you don't have to worry about changing the order online, you can just take your gift card to the store when you go to pick up your game and they will apply the $25 to your order then.
