Will my Laptop run DayZ?

So I keep seeing this Mod for Arma II and before I go and spend $30 on it, I would like to know if I can run it on my laptop.

Here are my system specs:

CPU: AMD A6-3400M APU Quad Core clocked at a slow 1.40 GHz. It also has 4 Threads.
RAM: 3.48 GB (It says 4.0 but only 3.48 are usable. Its stupid.)
OS: Windows 7
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6520G with 2.0GB RAM, Hardware T&L capabilities, Pixel Shader verios 5.0, and Vertex Shader version 5.0.

Where I run into problems I think is the Video Card. It isn't the best video card ever especially because this isnt a gaming laptop. I've played the Arma 2 free version off of steam and it runs alright I guess but I dont know if this give me the real graphics strain that playing DayZ would give me. I've run my computer on a website called CanIRunIt and I chose Operation Arrowhead and it says I pass. However, i pass just barely past the minimum. When I see if I pass the recommended specifications to play the only thing that fails is the Video Card.

Anyway, please help me out. I really want to play but if it isnt going to be a barable experience then I would rather just save $30 and put it towards something college related.

Thank you very much for the help! :))

What type of NFS games will run on a 500$ laptop?

U Can run all the older NFS titles before NFS Most Wanted 2012, infact u would be able to play NFSMW 2012 UNDER low settings.

What games can I run on my low-spec laptop?

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Gr...

this is the integrated graphics your laptop has. you can scroll down to see the performance you will get in games.
As you can see, not many games will be playable at all.

laptop cpu and gpus can not be changed or upgraded (in vast majority of cases). the only things you can upgrade is the storage drive and the ram.

upgrading to an SSD will make your laptop overall feel faster (since your mechanical hdd is usually the slowest thing in your pc and upgrading that drastically improves performance), but it will have next to zero impact on gaming performance since games require rendering which is where all the performance will be centered around (the gpu).

so honestly your only real option will be to buy a new laptop if you want to play newer or more demanding games. (dont really recommend anything below an nvidia gt940m for gaming)

there is a way you can get slightly better gaming performance on your laptop, but it wont be any huge change.

first since you are using integrated graphics, its best to use 2 sticks of ram so they will run in dual channel, increasing memory bandwidth. since integrated graphics use system memory, the more memory bandwidth you have the better the graphics will perform.

memory speed also will increase memory bandwidth, so using the fastest speed ram your pc supports, will also help improve performance.

csgo and rocket league may work if you run at very low resolutions on lowest settings. overwatch isnt a super demanding game, but you are below the minimum requirements.

Will my laptop run sims 4?

I have a brand new HP Laptop, and I ran the system requirements thing and the only thing that was wrong with it was my processor, I have a 1.35 GHz AMD Dual processor. I did download the free create a sim demo and it work perfectly fine, no lag, no freezing or anything. Do you think it will be okay for the full game? Thanks

Which games can my laptop run smoothly?

As the others who followed the “Link” ASUS GL702VI-MH72 17.3" 60 Hz Intel Core i7-7700HQ (2.80 GHz) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8 GB VRAM 256 GB SATA SSD 1 TB HDD 16 GB Memory Windows 10 Home 64-Bit Red Backlit Keyboard Gaming Laptop - Newegg.com Another Link to ASUS’s site: ROG Strix GL702VI | Laptops | ASUS USAi7–7700HQGTX 1080 -8GBShould be able to order a “replacement screen” and get the 120Hz version.17.3" (16:9) FHD (1920x1080) 120Hz Anti-Glare Panel 72% NTSC with G-SyncAs others have noted it’s kind of a “Trolling” question since this machine well within the standards of most games. As in above their typical “recommended” requirements. Now we’ll compare it to my desktop gaming/video editing rig.AMD Ryzen 7 2700X vs Intel Core i7-7700HQ So in typical games it’s 41% - 157% slower depending on how many cores/threads are used.Nvidia GTX 1080 (Mobile) vs 1080-Ti We’ll assume it’s the “Mobile- not the Max Q version” so only 44% slower.Nvidia GTX 1080 (Mobile Max-Q) vs 1080-Ti since the Max Q is 75% slower.16 GB of RAM upgradable to 32 on the Laptop. vs the 32 GB of DDR4 3000 C15’s from G.Skill in my systemG.SKILL Ripjaws 4 DDR4 3000 C15 4x4GB vs V 2400 2x8GB an estimate of the performance difference.I spent ~$2,000 on the desktop system. I guess if we include the 27″ 144Hz Asus I got a great deal on and add in the “Gaming Mouse + Gaming Mechanical Keyboard, + Gaming Headset” up to ~$2,714However, even though my machine is “by far superior” due to the limits dev’s are shooting for in gaming (wider audience) stuff has to be toned back a huge amount so someone, with say an i5 laptop with a GTX 1050 in it can play 99% of the games at 1920x1080 above 30 FPS.So, yes your gaming laptop is fairly nice, well above most games “Recommended” specifications. However I know of 2 games that can bring that to its knees Cities:Skylines (Megatropolis), brings my system down to ~20 FPS when continuing after beating all the “normal goals”. And I’m sure Ark:Survival Evolved on “Epic” graphics mode will drop that bad boy down a peg :D.Outside of those games, you’re good for now (DirectX 12, Vulkan) will allow those dev’s to keep pushing the envelope making the Old idea of “4 cores” = max required for gaming to be History!

When I run games on my laptop, it lags alot. What can I do to it to make my laptop run games without lags?

Most laptops don’t have the power to run modern games. This is usually because budget laptops don’t have a dedicated graphics card, so the game will have trouble running. For most laptops, there isn’t a solution because you can’t upgrade parts easily. Your best option would be to build a PC that fits your budget and needs, but if you don’t feel comfortable with PC components, you can try buying a prebuilt PC from companies like Maingear, Origin, or iBuypower. Be sure to do your research so you know you’re getting a good deal.

Will my laptop get damaged if I run games which are not compatible with my laptop?

Thanks for A2A.I’ll turn your question around. If the Laptop is not 100% compatible with your game, then it is likely to be overworked and generate more heat.As long as you have adequate heat dissipation (all clear vents and thoroughly de-dusted heatsinks), then the automatic shutdown to prevent overheating should be enough to protect your laptop from any real damage.Programming alone is extremely unlikely to damage the hardware. Over-working it without the appropriate precautions makes it more likely.

Will playing games damage your laptop in the long run?

Person just above me is a bull****** , i have a laptop ( its 6 years old) its an Asus , WIndows Xp SP3 , 754GHz(i think) and its a Pentium . So i played games on it and stuff , it is working even faster than my dads desktop ( 2 years old) but i just got a new Laptop ( Asus M51, 3 GB ram added 1 GB = 4 GB ,Core 2 Duo @ 2.40 GHz 2.40GHz . nVidia 9500 m , Better than yours by 40% ) .Yea , just keep reinstalling the Windows and change the keyboard and you should be fine . Some laptops already have the 2 year global warranty ( like mine). Keep playing , 2.5 hours is the max i play .
