How do you write "only the strong survive" in chinese characters?

Hi, Lindsey. I’m Jennifer, an online Chinese teacher from China.

Zhǐyǒu qiánɡzhě cáinénɡ shēnɡcún
只有强者才能生存。
Only the strong survive.

“只有 (zhǐyǒu)” are the Chinese words for “only.”
“强者 (qiánɡzhě)” are the Chinese words for “strong (person).”
“生存 (shēnɡcún)” are the Chinese words for “survive.”

Translate the following from Japanese into English and romanji?

日本人彼女募集中

is what i think it says in this EXTREMELY small image.

and it's japanese written with chinese characters (like all kanji is, and is what i think the 2nd answerer assumed - "ribenren" is the chinese way of saying japanese, "nihonjin" uses the same characters in japanese, "nu" is the chinese way of saying the "jou" in japanese)

in romaji it says,

nihon-jin kanojo boshuu - chuu

which means, "accepting applications for japanese girlfriends"

kanojo may mean "she" but used like this it's "girlfriend"

(thanks, mallory - i fixed the "bo" - you're right =])

If anime characters with superpowers, like Naruto, Bleach and One Piece were in the world of Harry Potter, would they be considered muggles?

Hi There :)In all honesty, I think it would all depend upon the characters in question. We already know that Naruto’s powers are born of the simple awakening of the ki energy that is locked in their body. Using this power they can manipulate the world around them. I would see this as more “spiritual” than anything else, and the only times we’ve really seen “spiritual” type magic is when people come back as ghosts or (in the case of the dark arts) the creation of Horcruxes.Follow this onto Bleach, where people literally wrench their souls from their bodies, and you’re now putting into play the idea that the Soul Society developed portable and reusable horcruxes in the form of tablets that can be swallowed by anyone to allow their souls to be removed from their bodies and replaced with temporary souls. Finally, I’ve not got much experience of One Piece so I can only really speculate from an outsider’s perspective from clips, GIFs, and other feedback… But I can tell there are a lot of temporary bodily changes simply by will, which grant the individual some serious boosts to their strength and power, at the expense of their physical appearance. Now, before you go into hissy fits about the above information, let me enforce the fact that you’re saying the anime characters go INTO the world of Harry Potter. That means that their powers and abilities ALL must function in a way that coexists with the rules of Harry Potters world. So in essence… If all the characters from those anime, with “super powers” came into the world of Harry Potter… They’d all be classed as Dark Wizards for their powers. Practitioners of the dark arts, and immediately be treated with hostility by the Ministry of Magic, unless they choose to act accordingly and work alongside them… But since a lot of these characters have short fuses and a problem with authority (because it makes them funny, or look cool), it’s decided… Naruto and Ichigo would side with Lord Voldemort or have his life-force drained from him by a Dementor.Congratulations everyone… Your hypothetical situation has hypothetically turned our heroes into villains.Be proud of yourselves.

Should Quora allow adding GIFs to answers?

It’s a free world.I will tell you what. For many many users, it won’t matter even if Quora inculcates the usage of GIF’s in answers. Most of the writers i follow and know loves to play with the succulent delicacy of words, the twist and the turns, the parabolic meaning of different words and phrases, the tenacity of their style of writing, the pauses. The usage of italics. The boldness in their writing.Getting their point across:In a structured wayand a beautiful mannerThe breaks in between their answers. To give you enough of a moment to revel in the beauty and gasp.Ohh, i am too much engrossed in using this beautiful medium to convey my feelings, experiences and knowledge and GIF it the last thing i would personally use if that day comes. But i won’t judge you if you do. Just don’t overdo it!So yeah, it’s a free world. Quora can introduce GIF’s but it’s just not my cup of tea.I am a fan of coffee anyway.

What is the meaning of the Joker's question "Did you ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?"?

"Did you ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?"That’s a very poetic way to put it. But I don’t think that the others who have answered the question quite do justice to this quote. The Joker is basically asking Bruce if he’s ever tangled with fate. If he’s ever experienced real grief. He asked that question for many reasons. First and foremost, he asked because Bruce was calling him out. In that scene, Bruce Wayne was basiclly telling the Joker that he was crazy. A loose screw with a weak mind, that was driven insane by his own horrific actions. The Joker retorted with the above question, in essence telling him, “How would you know anything about it? Have you ever experienced serious pain like I have?”.However, Napier also asks that question because he is desperately searching. Searching for someone like him. Someone he can just push over the edge, so that they can turn crazy like he is. Or someone that is already over the edge. Of course, whether he actually expects to find someone is debatable, but that is not enough to stop the Joker. If you rewatch this scene from the movie you’ll notice that immediately after asking this question, the Joker states that he asks that question to all his prey. Knowing the Joker, I can tell that that’s not a lie. He most likely does ask it to all his prey (or at least quite a few of them). He asks because he’s trying to draw parallels between himself and them. He’s asking because he knows that, if they’ve truly danced with the devil, then they would have changed radically- just like he did. Just as Bruce changed radically after seeing his parents die. That was his dance with the devil. In many ways, Jack Nicholson’s Joker was very similar to the Joker from the graphic novel: The Killing Joke.In this book, The Joker is also trying to prove that anyone can fall over the edge. All it takes is “One bad day”. In other words, one dance with the devil. The book came out only a matter of months before the movie did, and it was a smash hit. Is it any surprise they are so similar?

Where did "Good LORD that's a lot of money!" come from? I just can't place it...?

That line is from comedian Chris Rock's early years. The first time that I can remember hearing it said was from the movie "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka!" He went into a B.B.Q. joint and asked how much was a rib, I think he was told $3.00, to which he replied "Three Dollars? Good Lord That's Alot Of Money!"
