Baby girl names that start with "G"?
Genevieve (French, meaning woman of the people) Guinevere (Welsh, white ghost, phantom) Gwendolyn (Welsh, blessed ring) Gabriella (Italian feminine form of Gabriel) Gabrielle (French, meaning God is my strength) Gemma (Italian, meaning precious stone) Geneva (French, meaning juniper berry) Georgia (English, meaning farmer) Georgette (French, feminine form of George) Georgiana (English, meaning farmer, merciful) Gia (Italian, meaning God is gracious) Gillian (English, youthful, downy) Giselle (French, meaning pledge) Gertrude (German, strong spear) Gloria (Latin, meaning Glory) Ginnifer (American, combination of Virginia and Jennifer) Grace (Latin, meaning charm) Greer (Scottish, meaning watchful, guardian) Gretchen (German, meaning a pearl) Gwenifer (Welsh, meaning white ghost, phantom) Gwyneth (Welsh, meaning fortunate, blessed) Gwen (Welsh, blessed ring) Personally, I'm not fond of Geresa or Gessica. I wasn't at all sure how to pronounce Geresa until you mentioned your boyfriend's mother went by Teresa. Honoring her is a lovely idea, but I feel like naming a child Geresa will only set her up to be teased, and constantly have people mispronouncing and misspelling her name. Jessica is a lovely name, but I kind of hate weird/alternative/'creative' spellings. If you want to name your child Gessica, spell it correctly and go with Jessica. Otherwise, I fear it would also lead to teasing and confusion about how to spell/pronounce. If you want to go with a G name, and honor your boyfriend's mother, I'd suggest choosing a real G name, and using Teresa as a middle name. Or vice versa. Or, if you like Reese as a nickname, chose a real name which Reese could be short for. Better yet, name her Reese. I've always wondered why parents will name their child something when they already plan to always call them by a nickname. Reese is a real name by itself.

Beautiful baby girl names starting with letter G?
The name shouldn't be very short, since the surname has only 4 letters in it. So something longer. Definitely shouldn't be something like Gabriella or Gabrielle etc. Any suggestions?
