What Going On With My Body

What going on in my dog’s mind and body just before I put down his food bowl?

Not being psychic to dogs’ feelings, I can only guess what’s going on in their minds when you’re fixing their meals. For most dogs, there is excitement and enthusiasm. Getting fed is wonderful. Mom (or dad) is a wonderful person for giving me my food. Some are more enthusiastic than others; some hide their excitement well.

What is going on with my body?

First of all, I won't even SHAME you for not using protection since I have a feeling you know better. I know you think you can trust your bf but when you have sex w/ him, you're having sex w/ anybody else he's slept with and you don't know them.

Secondly, you won't know if you're truly pregnant until you've actually missed your period in the FOLLOWING month after having the unprotected sex. So, you need to wait a little while which I know is difficult.

NOW STOP HAVING UNPROTECTED SEX!!! You shouldn't be having sex if you can't deal w/ the consequences. At the very least, it shows your maturity level that you would not be protecting yourself.

What's going on with my body?

I should start off by saying that I had a baby 7 months ago. I haven't gotten my period in 5 months, and no, I am not pregnant again. I had an ultrasound just to make sure I am not pregnant, and they told me I had a cyst on my right ovary and fluid in my fallopian tubes, which I guess is causing me to have missed periods? The biggest thing right now that is worrying me, is that my stomach hurts very, very badly- all of the time. It twitches a lot and feels like it is vibrating, I don't know how else to put it. My belly button also hurts very badly and it hurts sometimes when I lay down on my side. I was thinking that maybe I have a hernia. However, I have no bulge at all coming from my belly button and when I push on my belly button, I feel nothing. I have tender armpits and my neck is itchy and swollen a lot of the time. My boobs also hurt a lot and my hair has been thinning and falling out. I am hot almost always, and I am fatigued constantly. My eyes have been kind of making abnormal movements also, and my shins are sensitive and sometimes hurt when they get pushed on or even touched. I feel like I am going crazy because I feel like my body is freaking out on me. I don't know if I have a thyroid problem, or if it's something more serious. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Please no negative or sarcastic comments, I need to be healthy for myself and for my baby. Thank you.

Testicles going back up inside my body?

Hi!

This is NOT normal.

While the testicles usually "come inside" the body during intense sexual stimulation, it should NOT hurt, and it should come down immediately after the sexual intercourse.

Also, testicles do "come near" the body during cool weather, but they do NOT "come inside"! This is probably a sign of possible hernia.

The left testicle is usually lower than the right testicle though.

Adverse effects to a testicle which "comes inside the body and hurt" are two: 1) Testicular torsion is more likely to happen, and 2) Infertility could result.

It is good to schedule an appointment with an Urologist as soon as possible. Fear not, however, since infertility caused by this problem usually resolves once the roaming testicle is tied firmly in the scrotum..

Found out what is Happening to my Body?

It sounds as if nature is taking over.

You will need a Psychologist to assist you in analyzing yourself, to know what will be best for you.

This will take some very serious consideration. Do you feel more female or male? Don't rush into anything until you have time to become confident with a decision.

You do not mention your age, that would be a serious consideration if you are quite young.

Good Luck.

How has your body changed after going vegetarian?

When I first became vegetarian, I gained weight.I was incredulous. There was no way that I was gaining weight after cutting meat out of my diet! Being a vegetarian was healthy. I was lowering my risk for heart disease and cancer, right? So why was I gaining weight?I had to do more research into what it really took to be a vegetarian. I realized that while I had cut meat out of my diet, that didn’t make my diet any healthier. I learned that vegetarian did not equal low-calorie (I’m looking at you, avocadoes!). Since I was eating all the same foods as before, just without the meat items, I was now eating an unbalanced diet that was heavy in carbs and low in proteins. I had to make serious changes to my meals to be vegetarian and to be healthy.Cheap, easy sources of protein.I became more conscious of the foods I was consuming. Vegetarians can’t live off of starchy carbs like pasta, potatoes and bread - foods I was using to replace meat because they made me feel “full” afterwards. I expanded my diet to include foods like tofu, beans, and hummus. I eat eggs as well.Once I started eating a more balanced diet, I overall felt healthier and lost the weight I had gained. I felt overall better being a vegetarian. I had more energy, felt less lethargic and just healthier in general. I’ve been vegetarian for over three years now and I feel healthy and fit. I don’t have meat cravings anymore, nor a desire to eat meat.Note: A couple months ago, I found out that I was anemic. I now take iron pills and make sure to include iron-rich foods, like spinach, in my diet. This could be related to my being vegetarian, but more likely is related to my awful habit of skipping breakfast and lunch on school days for the past year.

Why do we get tired? What is changing in the body when going through different phases of energy levels? Is the body like a battery, with ranges of 0-100%?

The truth is: we have no clue. The reason for sleep, why we do it and why we need it, is still a mystery and no one has figured out why it is so important. What psychologists do have discovered are two points that have led to countless theories. There is a molecule inside your brain that causes you to feel sleepy. Whenever we send an electrical impulse in our brain this molecule gets released. It has been found through studies of caffeine that show that coffee doesn’t actually make you more awake, it just blocks the receptors in your brain where the “tired” molecules go, preventing you from feeling like you need a rest. The problem with this is that the molecules are still present and will still be created. This means that as soon as the caffeine is deconstructed all the “tired” molecules will bind to the receptors at once, resulting in what we know as a “crash”.Sleep is required for the information transfer from short-term to long-term memory. During REM sleep our brain transfers a lot of the information we received that day into our long-term memory and clears out some space in the short-term memory. This may not be things you learned that day but the transfer still occurs. It is theorized that this may be the reason our dreams awaken such interesting story-lines as the information being transferred is activated and our brain tries to make sense of it, creating a dream with a very strange internal logic. That, and the fact that we need full cycles of sleep (meaning we need all phases of a sleep cycle) are the only things that are really known about sleep. I am sure there are more facts, theories and research in this topic, but these are the big ones. What this really means, or how it should be interpreted, is completely unknown so I will leave it to you to make your own conclusions.

Where did my sleep go? It's like my body forgot how to sleep?

Just as a lot of falling asleep at the same time each night is a habit, so can tossing and turning become a habit, too. So as you say, it is like your body forgets how to sleep, if that’s what you teach it. There are a lot of things people do to try to help their sleep, like a warm bath or boring activities. Some use soothing music. You definitely should give yourself the last hour before bedtime just to relax, ending that with whatever routine you want – laying out clothes for the next day, washing your face, brushing your teeth, the same each night. You do need to tire out your body to sleep easily, so exercise earlier in the day is important.

The most important thing I found for retraining my body to sleep was to avoid tossing and turning. I also think it’s important not to read in bed or watch TV in bed, though some people make these part of their bedtime ritual. I want my body to be used to sleeping when I lie down to sleep, so if I have that feeling that sleep is not coming, I get up and do something productive, whether household chores or related to work.

Our bodies tend to be on a 90-minute cycle, so if you’re too hyper for your bedtime, another wave of tiredness will come in about 90 minutes. So when you feel that, try going to sleep then. If that one doesn’t come, there will be another wave of sleepiness about 3 hours after your regular bedtime. If you have to do something the next day, you should let yourself rest in bed at least 3 hours, but even if you do stay up all night, you’ll sleep that much better the next night. And sleeping will re-establish your bedtime. Tossing and turning will do just the opposite.

Both OTC and prescription sleeping pills don’t help the problem of getting your body used to sleeping again. I’ve never known anyone where those were a good solution to insomnia in the long run. Of course if you’re anxious or manic, you need help with that to sleep well. But if it’s just getting into bad habits, you can fix that yourself.

After sex my body goes numb?

That would be an orgasm!

As for going numb, during orgasm, endorphins are released inside the brain. Endorphins are pretty much natural pain relievers. Look at it this way, if you go numb you don't feel nothing, right? Well that's alot of endorphins getting released, meaning, you must be having a pretty good orgasm, girl =]
