Wings in Straight Hair?

First your hair should be longer. Just about covering your ears. Then, wear a hat, which is necessary. One thing that's good is if your hat is tight(er), it forces the hair out-and-upward more than a loose-fitting hat.

Then, you should get a ceramic roller brush, just a round cylindrical brush with bristles as opposed to plastic bristles, and roll it along your hair (while standing upside down), and give it an especially forced roll along the edges of the hair. As it dries it will begin to "wing" out, hence the wings hairstyle. You may require hairspray and/or styling gel or mousse to keep the shape in place.

A few important things to remember:
-Do the above steps after you shower. You should dry off sufficiently to put your shirt(s) on as they may mess it up once it's dry.
-Maintain! You don't want your hair to be too long, as it will begin to look really stupid. Wings is a mid-length style now, so its not good to be too long. Also, give your hair time to thicken out a bit if it already hasn't; you don't want friggin' spikes coming out of either side of your head.

That's all I can tell you, so just keep working at it until you get to where you want to be. Don't be surprised if you if you find yourself having to get up a little bit earlier in the morning. You have to work towards what you want to get it. Good luck!

I am a male, 19 and I have silky hair. No hairstyle stays for more than 1 day. I want to make it stiff without using any artificial creams. How can I make it?

Sometimes when hair is too silky, the answer to making it style-able is to damage it. Years ago when I first started styling hair, conditioners became very popular. i noticed that with my hair and many others that if the hair was too healthy, it would not hold a good style. If I permed or colored the hair it became more manageable and would stay styled longer. So, how can you damage the hair but not change the color or curl? 1. You can run 40 volume peroxide through it, let that sit for about 20 minutes, then shampoo. This may lighten the hair a bit, but not significantly if the peroxide is not mixed with color.  If it does lighten too much for your taste simply re-dye it to your natural color as this will cause a bit more damage and give even more control. 2. you can run perm solution through it but not use curlers. This will break the bonds in the hair a cause it to swell, making it more manageable. You need to leave the perm solution on for at least 20 minutes, then shampoo and leave to dry. After you have performed one of these techniques, do not use conditioner as this will coat the hair and make it silky again.Good luck

What hair style for a first date?

I've just turned 16 and my parents are letting me out on a first date next week with a boy. He's taking me for dinner and a movie, but we have to be back home by 10.

Anyway, I have hair thats about 4 inches below my shoulders. Whats the best stytle for a first date?

Thanks

Laci

My hair are very straight and they go over my ears. I thought it looked fine but my friends are saying it's weird. Which hairstyle should I get?

Everybody can’t rock every hairstyle. So what I recommend you do, is find a measuring tape somewhere in your house, and go to How to Determine Your Face Shape. Write down the measurements, and find out what face shape you have. Then, depending on if you are a man or woman, Google “men’s hairstyles for oval face shape”, for example. You should find hairstyles that would look good on you. Sometimes, I don’t want to experiment with my hair, so I just give it a good trim. For that, I cut a straight, flat line to get rid of the hair that grows on my ear, then take a fat clip and put it on my clipper. I do this, because I am scared to cut too much off, and using a fat clip let’s me take my time. You just take the clipper with the clip on it, and slowly but steadily, let it graze the top, back and sides of your hair, to thin it out. Finally, I use scissors to make sure the front of my hair doesn't look ridiculous, and I get my dad to do the back. He just makes sure that the back is straight. I hope this helped.

Which hair cut is best suited for thin straight hair?

Ok, first off, DO NOT LAYER YOUR HAIR.You have straight hair. When you said “thin” hair, do you mean it's thinning on scalp area or the hair is fine in texture? Big difference between the two.I looked at your profile but I don't know if the picture is you. If it is, you don't have thin hair. You may have fine hair.It you have straight, thin or fine hair, having it a little long on top and parting it on a side angle, will help camouflage the scalp a bit and it makes hair look fuller…thicker. There is an option that is super fun if you are willing to try it. A pixie cut and going blonde or platinum. In doing so, you are colouring the hair to a pale colour, next to the scalp, this gives less contrast. You won't see the scalp through your hair as much. When hair is thin, it's usually stringy when you grow it long. So I would not recommend that you grow it longer than a chin length bob.Michelle Williams has super fine and thin hair. Her hair got thinner after she had her child. So, she went super short. Here is one hairstyle at different stages of it growing out. She tried the longer look again but has since cut it all off again. It's what best suits this hair type.If you want any more ideas, just ask. :-)
