What Happend To Hunter X Hunter 2011

What's the difference between Hunter X Hunter and Hunter X Hunter (2011)?

Same because they're both based from the same manga. But...

Different art style (2011 has simpler but cleaner art). Different animation (2011 has better animation). Different music (1999, IMO has better sounds). Different voice actors (I like the 1999 version better). SAME story. SAME characters (not a single one is added, YET), however 2011 has DIFFERENT pacing. (So far, most episodes are rushed, while giving details to other things. I was actually surprised that there were brand-new scenes). I take this as a sign of one of the ff:

1) They want to compress the remake as much as possible, to make way for the manga arcs not covered by the 1999 version. (crosses fingers)
2) If it's not a hit, at least they can show as many episodes as possible before they end it (PLEASE GOD, NO!!!!)

NO. It's not the same as FMA and Brotherhood. FMA strayed so much from the manga's plot and added new characters that it became an entirely different story! If you watch FMA but did not watch Brotherhood you will miss A LOT. Same goes if you watch Brotherhood but did not watch FMA. In the case of HXH, if you watch 1999 but did not watch 2011, it's still essentially the same and you do not miss much. (AS OF THE MOMENT, because I am not sure how far 2011 will go). 2011 will only be different if it surpasses the Greed Island Arc (and even with so much compression, I estimate that to be at least 40-50 episodes away) OR if they fill it with silly filler arcs (is that even possible?). It's only the same with FMA in the sense that the newer versions have rushed episodes.

If you watch 1999 you basically know the complete story up to a certain part in the manga. Whether 2011 will pass that point is yet unknown. What you can do is to watch the 1999 version complete with the three OVA's that follow it, and then continue with the 2011 version once the new arc is out (hopefully, it will be)

.

Hunter x Hunter (1999) vs Hunter x Hunter (2011)?

I favour Hunter x Hunter (2011) just a little bit more. They are second and third favourite anime.

Hunter x Hunter (2011)
Originally Hunter x Hunter was my second favourite anime. When the 2011 version aired I was ecstatic to hear that it was going to start from the beginning and attempt to make it closer to the manga. The story is essentially the same since the original didn’t stray too far in the first place, and the things I saw in the old had been brought back to life again in the new in a bright new way. There may be less gore in this version, but that by no means detracts me from the show. The new OST and art are both brilliant. It's charming, the characters are some of the best I've seen, so deep, thought out and enticing, even the more minor ones. It goes beyond most in its respective genre, the powers are well thought out, clever and plausible. It's an all-around great show with so much charm. It has a great balance of everything from humour to action to the darker elements. I’ve already re-watched the series three times since its first airing; trying to catch parts I missed previously and I have no doubts that I will be watching it over much more. I never get sick of it.

Hunter x Hunter
The show it has so many elements, humour, action, sadness . . . and I love every second of it. The characters all have their backstories and even the minor ones are fleshed out. Each episode leaves me wanting more, and the OVAs are some of the best I’ve seen, especially since they continue to story and just make you appreciate the show even more. Every time I watch, it reminds me why this show is my third favourite of all time. I can truly think “Wow, this show is pure quality,” when I watch.

After the Chimera ants, another arc plays in both the manga and the anime, the chairman election arc.The anime stops after the election arc, and the anime has only a few chapters after it starting into the next arc, which has actually not really started properly yet.The manga has been on hiatus for years however, and it has only recently been announced to return. Based on all the former hiatusses, I would say that it's going to go on hiatus again after a few chapters.in case it's too small too read, the little gray blocks are weeks gone by without chapters, while the other colours are the chapters that have come out by story arc. On the left of the chart are years with on the bottom 1998 and 2016 on the top.

Where can I watch the hunter x hunter 2011 dub? A friend sent me a link before but I can t find it?

Hunter x Hunter 2011 recap episodes?

Did you watch the 3 OVAs as well, or just the main TV series?

If you finished just the TV series, you'd start watching the 2011 series from episode 55, and if you finished all of the OVAs, which take the story in the original series quite a bit farther, then you'd pick it up starting with episode 76.

How many recap episodes of Hunter x Hunter (2011) are there?

Mandy already answered the question, but I just want to add that, um, they have very different tones and charicterizations, so I'd really reccomend watching 2011 from the start, or at least going into it knowing that they are really really different in some ways. Especially Killua and Gon's character traits.

Hunter x Hunter question?

Spoiler:

Yes he does, it happened just a month ago in the manga. And don't worry, HxH isn't mainly focused on "finding Gin" so it won't be "find Gin, happy ending, end of story"

Ging is a double-star hunter, said to be one of the 5 strongest humans.
Also he is one of the Zodiac 12, top 12 hunters selected by the chairman Netero.
He and Gon end up having a chat and Ging reveals that there is another world(probably a new continent)
yet to be explored and he wants to find it. Before he leaves, he tells him not to be in a hurry in finding his goal because the journey itself is what matters

And yes, the anime will go further and if everything's well, until the end of the manga.

The main purpose of showing Gyro's backstory is to understand with what mentality he built the country on.Gyro's backstory showed us that Gyro had a very hard life living in a concentration camp with his father, who abused him at every turn untill Gyro realized his father didn't care for him at all and how insignificant he was to the world. He then beat his father to death with a hammer and left the camp.Gyro as a child, after being brutally beatenThen, when Gyro established NGL, the darkness of his past dominated the country's underground organization. He had completely discarded his humanity, as his traumatic past lead him to believe that he wasn't human at all.Now why is this important to know Because the personality of the Ants, and more importantly, the King, are shaped by what the queen has eaten.By eating NGL's entire underground organization, including Gyro himself, Gyro and his organization's darkness will partly shape the personality of some of the ants, and most importantly, the dark personality of the king. The ant king, casually killing another ant over nothing.
