What Happens If You Eat Food That

What happens if you eat too much food at once?

The average meal takes 1 to 3 hours to leave the stomach. But a large meal can take 8 to 12 hours, depending on the quantity and fat content.Although your stomach may feel as if it will burst, gastric rupture is extremely rare. The problem is usually limited to people with major eating disorders; in a study of people who had died with Prader-Willi syndrome, which causes excessive overeating, about 3 percent of the deaths were due to stomach rupture. But while your stomach won’t burst after a big meal, overeating will make your body work harder. The extra digestive workload demanded by a food binge requires the heart to pump more blood to the stomach and intestines. Heavy consumption of fatty foods can also lead to changes that cause blood to clot more easily.  As a result, heart attack risk appears to surge. One study of 2,000 people that showed a fourfold increase in heart attack risk in the two hours after eating a big meal. As the stomach releases food into the intestines, the gallbladder begins to squeeze out bile to help with fat digestion. Like the rest of the body, it has to work harder after a big meal — a frequent cause of gallstone attacks, which occur when clusters of solid material get stuck in the narrow duct that connects the organ to the intestine. These attacks are seldom fatal, but the pain mimics a heart attack and can be excruciating. Many people don’t know they have gallstones until an attack occurs.Large meals increase the risk for flatulence, because bits of undigested food slip into the colon and begin to ferment. And people with existing health problems that require special diets have to be careful about their intake of salt, fat and calories at Thanksgiving.Simple strategies can help minimize the gluttony. Keep the serving dishes in the kitchen, so you won’t take extra helpings mindlessly. Stick to foods that require utensils — we eat finger foods faster than those that require a fork. Finally, contribute to the dinnertime conversation. The more you talk, the less you’ll eat.Source: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/2...

What happens if you eat food that has mold on it?

I just had pizza and after i ate it i felt i little sick and a little stomackacke. Then i looked at the other pizzas still left over and like 2 pizzas only had a few really little small mold pieces. And i think i ate mold.

So what will mold do if you eat it? Now i'm just sayin that i might of had 1 little spot on the pizza.

NOw what will happen anythink bad?

What would happen if we eat little food?

You would become malnourished which can lead to many health issues and leave you susceptible to infections. Your skin and hair will thin, you nails will crack, you will bruise easily and have little to no energy. The inability to work or socialize will likely make you depressed. Your brain will feel fuzzy and you'll have difficulty reasoning and making good judgements. You can lose teeth, become constipated, lose your period if you are female making you infertile. You will feel cold and hunger pains combined with low blood sugar will make you cranky. The low blood sugar can make you faint easily therefore you can injure yourself when falling. And injuries won't heal well or at all. You may have trouble sleeping or sleep too much. Your body will first digest all the fat in your body and then go to work on your muscles. The resulting metabolic imbalance can make you very sick.

What happens when you eat expired food?

Expiration date is a legal requirement to warranty that the food gets fresh to the final customer. Expiration dates often have a security margin to minimize the chances of food going bad before the expiration date. So, expiration date is not a hard limit. Fresh products like milk have the shorter expiration dates, but even if you open a bottle of fresh milk after its expiration date, and it smells good, then it's good. If it smells foul it means fermentation has started. Even if you drink it, it probably wont hurt you, as normal fermentation is used to make cheese and yogurt from milk.Expired white bread might not be as soft as a fresh one, but still edible. If many days have passed, it may grow mold. In this case, it may taste bad, but mostly harmless, unless you are allergic to penicillin. In some places expired white bread, retired from stores is reprocessed into toast white bread, which when expired is grind into bread powder, which when expired is turned into crumble cookies.Sometimes expired human food is used to feed animals.Food with expiration dates of years probably will be edible months or a year after expiration date. The main risk about eating long expired food, specially canned food, is the risk of developing botulism bacteria. It can be the result of sterilization of food not being perfect, or container failure, allowing pathogens to enter and contaminate the food. So, eating food few days after expiration date, won't hurt you, but I won't eat food years after expiration date. Unless there is a zombie apocalypse.Remember, expiration dates are for unopened food containers. Once you open the container, expiration date means nothing. Food will normally last some days or hours, depending on temperature and exposure to bacteria.

What happens if you eat Mouldy Food?

You won't get food poisoning, but you will probably get one heck of a stomach ache and the scoots.

Why would you eat that?? That is pretty gross.

ADD - lol, we all do dumb stuff.

the thing is that mold has spores so if there was nothing on it, it doesn't mean it was not contaminated.

if you just ate it, you could make yourself puke. i probably would just to be safe.

if it was over an hour ago, maybe take some pepto bismol. if you don't have any, drink a coke or a ginger ale. it should help your stomach. and if coke can unclog a drain, it might help with this. :)

What happens if you eat fly eggs?

Fly eggs shouldn't hurt you. They are mostly protein, not very dissimilar from chicken eggs in their basic chemistry.

It is unlikely that the eggs would be carrying dangerous bacteria on them. The mother could pick up such bacteria on her body, but they wouldn't get on the eggs. That doesn't mean the bacteria couldn't move strait from her body to the pizza. I wouldn't be worried, though.

What will happen if you eat food that has been eaten by a rat?

I once shared a giant cookie or two with a mouse. It was not intentional. Nor was it a Lady and Tramp Spaghetti moment. So I had this bag of cookies on the bench, there they sat for a couple of days. I hadn’t noticed anything.Oooh, I have cookies I realised, grabbed the bag, noticed there was a wee hole in the bottom of it, but me, I probably did that getting my giant ham fists into it. So I much away and only half way through this cookie did i realise there is a mouse’ snout-shaped gap missing from the other half of the cookie. So I shrug and carry on eating (chocolate and glaceed cherry, not wasting!) - that was 4 years ago, no harm done. Other than an increased desire for cheese and ratatouille I’ve had no lasting ailments.

What can happen if you eat too many foods from the grain group?

Basically, what the question says. Also, any other general side effects of grains would be appreciated. This is a necessity for my project about grains and I can't find any side effects anywhere.

Thank you!
