What Happens To The Silk

What Happened To Satin / Silky Panties?

my dad said that one time when he was a kid he had to wear his grandmas underwear (he lived with his grandma for most of his childhood) when he ran out of underpants or something and he said they felt really good. but if you continually wear them on a daily basis, then yes that is pretty creepy, but there is nothing wrong with enjoying the way it feels against your skin. it just shouldnt be "on" your body, it can be against your skin, like if you were laying next to a girl, but not wearing it. but her naked body should feel better but if she wants to wear something to bed i dont care

What ever happened to Silk the Shocker???

Professionally I dont think he is doing to much these days.
The weekend after Thanksgiving he was spotted in New Orleans at the Bayou Classic football game and festivities...I used to really love him!!

What happen to the group silk?

They are making a new album, It should be out sometime this year I think = P

As you hinted, they are harder to find b/c men just don'twear them anymore like they used to but I still do, so I have some options foryou to check out. Go to Dillard's if you havethat store. They have some silk boxers on their store website currently, but they are not silk charmeuse (which is the reallysoft variety). Woven silk is well, just not as silky. Dillard’s getprinted and solid color silk boxers in their physical store. Also, the companythat made the silk boxers/pajamas/robes for Niemen Marcus and also makes themfor Dillard's is Intimo, at Intimo.com for online ordering. (Dillard’s has thesame printed Intimo ones in their stores currently; same price).Intimo has quite a few choices for silkboxers and the like in their Luxe collection, esp. if youwant a solid color. I can attest everything is well made. Be advised that you might wish to go up a size, so look at the size chart carefullyand decide if you want a looser or fuller fit. I'm a normal large (36), but had to go up to XL b/c it wastight in the rear. The prices are slightly higher than the$25 retail price you might pay at your department store, but keep in mind theyhave frequent 30% off sales so sign up for their emailclub. Another great place for silk underwear for men is Wintersilks, at youguessed it, wintersilks.com. Mary Green has a line called Mansilk, but thoseboxers don’t last and the fly sucks on them. I’ve tried just about every siteon the net trying to find the best silk boxers, and those first two I mentionedare the best. Good luck in your search! Source: Silk boxer expert

What ever happened to the guys from R & B male group Silk and Blackstreet?

As far as Silk they broke up because of unresolved dissension among the group members mounting after the folding of their record label Elektra. The lead singer Gary now performs in stage shows.

Blackstreet broke up as well because of BAD PROMOTIONS AND RECORD COMPANY conflicts. Teddy Riley still writes and is involved in music.

It does get wrinkled but probably it will not be "ruined".  Use a mister to dampen the fabric, use lots of steam and a hot iron.Silk was washed in water for centuries before dry cleaners were invented.  Hope it worked out for you.

SilkAir Flight 185 was crashed deliberately by suicide. The captain was disgruntled, he lost a lot by the airline, so while the co pilot was out, he locked the door and took the plane on a nose dive. The plane: SilkAir Boeing 737–300

They were asked, “were you ever paid by the Trump campaign?” Thy said no. Then they were shown a payment log which with an entry that showed they received a small amount, something over $1,200. The notation accompanying the payment said “consulting services”. They explained this was reimbursement for airfare to get to a Trump rally. This is the full extent of their “financial relationship with the Trump campaign.” In typical fashion, everything about conservatives is subject to hyper-scrutiny, embellished, and widely disseminated to damage reputations. Notice in the linked article the writer leaves himself wiggle room in the headline by saying “.. appear to lie ..” Why did he omit relevant information? It’s what the mainstream media do every day.In answer to your question: absolutely nothing will happen to Diamond and Silk. They did not lie. It was a simple reimbursement.

What would happen if I machine-wash my dry clean-only silk dress?

Unlike other fabric, silk threads are actually tiny spirals of tightly coiled protein (I know, all technical).

Protein gets dissolved by water- which is a very weak solvent.

So if you immerse silk in water and agitate it- even gently, it tends to fray at the edges. If you were to look at it very closely, it would start to get a "shaggy" look. The tiny spirals of protein lose their ability to hold their shape, and the threads of protein begin to break.

It is best to wash a silk item in a sink with cool water and a very mild, very dilute solution of soap. Use very little soap.

When you are done, gently squeeze out the excess water (but do not wring it out).

Then lay the item flat on a table to dry. Be sure to smooth the item out by hand as best as possible to prevent difficult creases.

There is a reason silk garments are considered fine; they require special care, and can be ruined easily if one is careless.

Different spiders produce silk for a plethora of reasons.Tarantulas produce silk to help them climb, as well as to sense prey nearby, by feeling minute vibrations in the silk as prey touches it.Many spiders produce silk to create a safe place to live. Some spiders use silk to travel (see: ballooning)Spiders have been known to use silk to prevent themselves from falling to the ground without a means to return where they came from.Spiders often use silk to create an egg sac, to protect their eggs and provide nourishment for newly hatched spiderlings.Famously, many spiders use silk to catch or entrap prey. This is extremely important because spiders are responsible for eating an astronomical amount of insects. The total weight of insects eaten each year by spiders is greater than the total weight of the entire human population on Earth. Amazing. These are only some of the reasons spiders produce silk, but as you can imagine, without that silk, spiders would be at an extreme disadvantage considering their lifestyles. If all spiders stopped producing silk, it is very likely they would go extinct. At the very least, they would be forced to completely change their way of life in order to survive. It would probably not be a good thing for the spiders, but it would also be quite detrimental to all organisms affected by a relationship with spiders, including humans.Pray that this never happens, or you might just get a lungful of flying insects instead of air everytime you take a breath.
