What Happens When You Pay The 1hr Mininum For A Tattoo And It Only Takes 30mins

How much does the average tattoo cost?

It depends on several factors. Where do you live? How big is the tattoo? How much detail? How much color? How experienced is the artist? Does the owner of the shop have a minimum price?Taking all of these into account, you will be spending at least $50, and depending on what you want, upwards of over $1,500 across multiple visits. Many shops have a minimum price in order to do a tattoo, mainly to cover the cost of needles, ink, supplies, etc. So even if you wanted to get just a couple of lines, you my have to spend that. The more detail involved, and the more colorful the piece is going to be, that will raise the cost quickly. Details need different needles, and shading requires different amounts of ink. For example, a tattoo covering your forearm, all black ink, and simple design, may cost about $300. Now if you take that same piece, add some smaller designs thrown around in the main tattoo, and have a couple of colors added as well. That will bring the price up to closer around $500–600.I have 13 tattoos myself. The lowest amount I have spent was $75, and it was for a small tribal design that came off of a sheet of flash art, done on my wrist, which took about 35 minutes. The highest amount was $600 plus a tip of $100 for a completely custom quarter sleeve on my shoulder/upper arm, which took about 7 hours. (And when I say custom, I mean the artist sat down with a few markers, and drew everything freehand directly onto my arm, and even added some more after the main part was done.)The best thing you can do is prepare yourself, and expect to want more tats as you go. I started off with just one, and told myself that it was gonna be just that one. 10 years later, I’m still planning out more work. Do some investigating, and find someone in your area that looks like they match what you are looking for. Once you find “your guy”, stick with them. They can give you some special discounts as they see fit for continued customers. (Got a tattoo done on my left arm that is loaded with detail, and has 6–7 different colors with shading. Shop owner wanted $500, but my guy convinced him to charge me only $175, due to why I was getting it done in the first place, which is an entire story in itself.)I wish you the best of luck, and hope you get what you are looking for.

I have a question about wrist tattoos?

1. I would recommend getting the tattoo on your dominant hand just because you will see it more often during everyday activities; eating, writing, brushing your teeth, etc.
2. For a small tattoo on your wrist, it shouldn't cost more than $100. But the cost is up to your tattoo artist's discretion. Also there is a minimum pricing for tattoos so expect to pay around $50 even for the smallest tattoo.
3. Roughly 30minutes to 1 hour. It all depends on the design of the lettering itself and the how professionally skilled your artist is.
4. Pain is a mental sensation. The pain tolerance is different for everybody but it isn't as bad as it seems. After a few minutes of tattooing, your endorphins will kick in and virtually feel no pain, just repetitive vibrations.

On a side note, I'm sure what you want tattooed is "breathe" not "breath" Make sure you get the spelling correct, otherwise it's a tattoo regret waiting to happen.

Good luck!

How soon after getting a tattoo can you shower?

I just got my first tattoo yesterday. It's a small 1 inch by 1/2 inch treble clef right above my left breast. I was reading before hand that you shouldn't put running water over it. So how soon could I shower after getting it?

How long does a sleeve tattoo take to get done and what is the quickest time you could get one done in?

it is entirely possible to get a full sleeve done in one sitting. there aren't many tattoo artists who would be willing to do that but it is POSSIBLE. one instance where i can think of an artist definitely doing a marathon session is at a tattoo convention. my dad's artist actually did a full backpiece tattoo on a guy during a three day tattoo convention. it took 27 hours total to do but it won best tattoo for the convention. also it depends on an artist's speed and your own endurance. if you don't need to take many breaks and your artist is fast it'd go all the faster.

How much do small tattoos cost?

Due to the overhead a tattoo shop takes on they always have a shop minimum. This means that even to do your Line (literally a black line) on your forearm will cost at least the shop minimum. Although the tattoo takes all but 30 seconds and no redrawing of artwork, they still have to run the gun, use ink then throw the rest out, use a pair of gloves, use a needle, then discard, wrap you up, after applying ointment, etc. etc.All these accoutrements are not free for the shop.Depending on the shop, location and artists that work there a minimum could be anywhere from $40 to over $100.Suggested - max out your tattoo for the amount of money you spend.Usually once you get one you get another and another….
