What If 9/11 Never Happened

What if 9/11 never happened?

Everything. The whole world, and that is no exaggeration. 9/11 shaped a generation, my generation. How we vote, how we see the world, how we see safety. There would never have been an Iraq/Afgh. war. President Bush would've had a vastly different presidential term. There is no guarantee that Barack Obama would be our President right now, if 9/11 had not happened. Not to mention the Patriot Act, which you should definitely research, would never have passed. Our international relationships would be different, especially in the middle east (read Pakistan, Iran, and Israel to list a few). 9/11 was a pivotal moment in history, much like Pearl Harbor to the WW2 generation was a pivotal moment in history. The biggest moments in history don't just change politics, they change people. And 9-11 changed who we are.

What if 9/11 never happened.......?

I believe that if the attacks never happened, our lives ( all of the lies in the world) would be changed for the good. George Bush wouldn't have sent the troops into Iraq, people wouldn't be on the edge of their seats, afraid of terrorist attacks and planes. It's really quite sad. If 9/11 didn't happen, we would just be in a better place (or so I think). But it happened for a reason, so don't regret it. Honor the people who died and pray that we can live our normal lives. . . that's what I do every night. . .

How would the U.S. be different if 9/11 never happened?

Without 9/11, GW Bush would almost certainly have been a one term president like his father. If a similar event didn't happen by 2004, it is also likely that without the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq as a national issue, John Kerry might never have gained traction with Democrats leading to Howard Dean being the Democratic Party candidate and winning in November. Getting more speculative, Dean would have introduced a national health care system 4 years before Obama did. He would also have had his hands full between pushing that and a repeal of the Bush tax cuts through a divided Congress, so the mortgage situation would not have been solved and the Great Recession would have happened anyway and been blamed on Dean and the Democrats, leading to a stronger Republican majority than ever in 2008, especially if that foreign terrorist attack finally happened between 2004 and 2008.

If 9/11 never happened n\do you thik bush would have come up with another way to go to war with iraq?

there was a document released to the media that said that bush penciled in March of that year to go into Iraq. he also had the idea to paint a U.N. plane red white and blue and fly extremely low hoping to attract gunfire from Iraq. firing on a U.N. plane would be reason enough to send in the military.

How would the world be if 9/11 didn't happen?

9/11, I believe to have been planned exactly on its date, so that 9-1-1 actually has a meaning, instead of random numbers. However, if 9/11 never happened, I think a lot of Americans would be walking around thinking that they're invincible, and that other countries couldn't possibly hurt the U.S.
Furthermore, while 9/11 was a terrible tragedy, I believe that it was also something that all Americans could look back on and relate to. Yes, it was terrible, but it also led many Americans to pray, and to be grateful for what we have. It was a reminder for us to not take our lives for granted, not to take ANYTHING for granted.
