What If All Men Sterted Growing Their Hair As Long As Women. How Would Society Change

Why is long hair on men considered "gross" and "unclean" by so many people?

"In a society that desires gender equality, why is this disparity perpetuated by women who themselves have long hair?" It's not, that mentality is perpetuated by men with long, unclean hair. Which many of them are.
The process is this:
1-Men with long hair attract more attention because they are rare.
2-Many men with long hair don't bother to wash it that often.
3-People draw the conclusion that long hair on men is unclean.(and I mean people, not just women)
I can tell you that I've observed a lot of women with long, unclean hair, too, but since most women have long hair, they don't stand out so much.

EDIT: "The only people who bug me about having long hair are females, who feel that it is a femine trait that only women should have." Trust me, I've heard nothing good from men about men with long hair. They probably say it behind your back. I know a military man who works in an anti-terrorist force and he voiced the opinion that he would beat up a guy for having long hair when he saw one walking down the street a few yards away from us. I was shocked at that kind of violent opinion. I told him I had a boyfriend who had long hair and he looked at me as if I were crazy. In my experience, you're better off if you've heard only the women's comparatively mild comments.

Why did all Chinese men have long hair until the end of the Qing dynasty?

Before the Manchu conquest of Ming China, the Han had a tradition of keeping their hair long and did not cut them. However, it's not that simple. The men must keep their hair tied up in a knot or bun rather than just let them go loose, otherwise it was considered unrefined and improper. The reason for not cutting their hair was because your hair along with your body and skin were considered a gift from your parents, and damaging them was considered unfilial. The body, hair and skin, all have been received from the parents, and so one doesn’t dare damage them—that is the beginning of xiao.— Classic of Filial PietySince the Ming dynasty, the Han Chinese men also began the norm of putting on a headgear called wangjin. The wangjin became very common in the Ming dynasty, because it was useful for keeping together one's long hair in place. The wangjin then spread to Joseon Korea and Vietnam. You can see the wangjin in Korean historical dramasThen came the Manchus, who were originally known as the Jurchens of Later Kin (後金).The Jurchens from the Northeast had invaded China Proper and conquered Ming dynasty China. For this reason, the Qing is considered a conquest dynasty like the Yuan. After the conquest, the Jurchens renamed the state from Later Kin to Da Qing. Aside from the name change of the state, the name of the Jurchen tribe was also renamed to "Manju" in the same year. The Manchu conquerors enforced their custom to the Han Chinese, and so the Han began to wear a Jurchen queue and adopt the Manchurian clothing customs. Refusal to do so was treason and punished by execution. As a result, the Chinese tradition of not cutting hair died out and various headgears such as wangjin were no longer used. When the Xinhai Revolution broke out, the Han along with other minorities of the empire overthrew the Qing dynasty. The Han immediately cut off the Jurchen queues imposed on them and recorded this moment in history. The act of severing their Jurchen queues that had been forced onto them against their will for about three hundred years then became an iconic symbol of liberation and progress. The Han Chinese did not revert to the custom of not cutting hair, but instead opted for short hair because of its convenience and practicalness. Short hair was also prefered because there was a strong movement of Westernization after the collapse of the Manchu dynasty.

Growing your hair out for guys?

i love men with long hair
i think growing it out is a great idea and hair grows about a half inch to an inch a month if you are eating healthy and taking your vitamins.. you see hair feeds on blood so what you eat is very important also try hanging your head off the side of your bed and massaging your scalp every night and also a good brushing if your scalp and hair daily helps too..
good luck..

Why is body hair considered dirty/nasty when nature intended it?

It's fashion. It changes with the culture, the times, the places.

China used to have thing for women being considered sexy with tiny feet. So they used to bind the feet of their girl babies and not let them grow. Adult women had feet so tiny, the bones were broken. They were "sexy" but could barely walk.

Victorian ladies used to have a thing for having an hourglass figure, so they wore corsets so tight they could hardly breathe. Fainting was common, not from hearing something shocking, but from lack of oxygen.

There is a tribe in Africa, first shown to the Western world by Ripley of "Ripley's Believe It or Not", where the women would force rings around their neck, between their chins and their shoulders. They forced so many rings to stretch the neck and raise the head several inches higher, until the neck bones separated. If those rings were ever removed, the woman would die of a broken neck.

There is absolutely no limit to what the human animal will attempt in its quest for attractiveness. Body hair? Odors? Perfumes? Sheesh, you ain't seen NUTHIN yet!

What would society be like without men?

I'm interested in intelligent, well thought-out answers with insight. What would it really be like? What would it be like for the next generation, which would not know anything of men? How would that generation grow up and how would they be different? How would women emotionally respond? What would it really be like? How would society change? What about human advancements? Please do not be rude...if you're here to say "It would be great!" then at least explain why.
