What If Celtic Cant Win The Spl This Year

If Celtic FC were to play in the BPL for one season, how would they finish?

The current Celtic squad might well struggle in the Premier League. The entire team was assembled for less than £30m, which the top Premier League sides would easily spend on a single player.Even a team like West Bromwich Albion, who sit bottom of the Premier League as I write, spent some £45m on players in the last year alone. While the cost of the team does not always directly compare to the quality, Celtic would be at a huge disadvantage against every other side before a ball was kicked.Of course, as a Premier League team, they would eventually receive the same TV money as the other clubs, and given the likely interest in their matches, they could, if they survived long enough, soon be one of the biggest clubs in the league. While they may never be able to match Manchester City for sheer financial muscle, they would be on a much higher budget than Spurs before long, and in a few seasons, they could reasonably be competing for a top four spot.

What do you think of Celtic's apparent lack of spending?

I take it you're talking about "swollen labia" or whatever he is calling himself now. I have to agree with some of what he said because when Celtic said they had suddenly decided that Pukki was a better player than Finnaborgson it was total nonsense. They must think the Celtic fans are daft.

The truth was that they were unwilling to pay the going rate for Finnaborgson who is valued at around £5 million, so they are going for the cheaper option of Pukki. Celtic are now saying they might not be able to buy Pukki because his club Werder Bremen have one of their other strikers injured so they may have to call on Pukki to play. Rubbish, pay Werder Bremen what they want for him and they will sell him, that's the way it works. Celtic seem to want to get everything on the cheap and are unwilling to pay the going rate, the whole thing smacks of a scrooge mentality.

Im not expecting Celtic to go out and buy three £5 million players but we're talking about trying to sign a top striker who can lead the line for Celtic in the Champions League (if we get there). The fact that Lawell and Desmond have been stalling on signing a top striker may have already cost us a place in the Champions League. I think on this occasion Celtic should have gone that wee bit further and put in a serious offer for Finnaborgson that his club would accept. As people at Celtic are always saying, every player has a selling price. That's true for players of any team not just Celtic, Mr Lawell.

If Celtic don't make the Champions League because of Lawell and Desmond's tight fistedness then they are going to face a backlash from the fans. I for one will not be a happy bhoy.

Sorry for the long winded answer but this situation has really angered me.

How well would Celtic FC do in the English premier league?

Given the finances of the EPL if they could survive a season or 3 I'm sure they would get better and better. Perhaps even being a yo-yo club for a few seasons wouldn't hamper there eventual progress. Could see them being ripe for a takeover too. Top four probably beyond them in short term (financial fair play rules means they couldn't slipstream to top four, as Manchester City were able to). Not sure of Celtics overseas fan base or what they do commercially off the park though. Can't see it happening though as probably have a seriously bad impact on the SPL.

Are Celtic a bigger club than Newcastle?

Celtic play in the champions league because they play in a league where they only have competition from one team.

The rest of scottish football is 2nd rate.

Celtic have quite a strong fan base and a big stadium but the premiership is the big boys, If you put celtic and rangers into the premiership they would both struggle and would be in the bottom half of the table for quite a long time.

A and C weighting with spl instruments?

Weighting filters are used to tailor the response of the measuring device to match the "perceived" loudness of the signal, based on the frequency response of the human ear.

Typically low and high frequency signals are not perceived as loud as the same amplitude signal of a mid-range signal. I am not a doctor but I would think the flatter response signal would be appropriate regarding hearing damage (can't be too careful).
