Do you pay more for homemade preserves or buy cheaper commercial preserves, why?

Near my house is a water pumping station. It’s surrounded by woods to protect the aquifer. On one side runs the Amtrak Acela line to New York. On the other side is a series of abandoned factories and offices. All along this road grows miles of wild concord grapes. In late August and early September the smell is so strong you can smell it for a distance. It smells of fermented wine. When you smell it, it’s time to get your scissors and bags and go down the road and cut the millions of grapes hanging from the trees. Then you go home and boil them and make grape preserves. This is something my family has done for decades. In addition, I live near Blue Hills. Massachusetts means “Big Blue Hills” in Algonquin Indian language. There are miles of hiking paths and in some places the blueberry bushes are taller than a tall man. As children we picked blueberries for hours, brought them home and my mother would make blueberry jelly, pancakes, muffins and the like. Small, wild blueberries are the most flavorful; the “You Pick” force-grown, fat and juicy blueberries you get at the farms are mostly filled with water and have very little blueberry flavor. Blueberry jelly made from wild blueberries has the most concentrated flavor. Homemade blueberry jelly on toast is one of my earliest memories as a child, made by Auntie Flo Flo using a fork to toast the bread over her coal stove. I can’t eat my homemade blueberry jelly (which is always on toast) without thinking of her.I probably have 20 jars of grape jelly in my cabinet at this moment. You have to sterilize the canning jars and make sure the jelly is fully boiling when you pour it to create a vacuum when it cools and prevent mold. But if you do it right, the jelly will stay good for years.

Who has had a bigger impact on Music, Red Hot Chili Peppers or Pearl Jam?

Hmm probably RHCP mainly for the influence their ex-guitarist & bassist have had on the rock world (frusciante & Flea respectively), alongside the fact that the closest sounding band to them is RATM (ie RHCP have created a very unique style) i'd say thats why they could be thought of higher than PJ.
Like PJ are brilliant don't get me wrong i love them, but i've heard bands like them & influenced bands sound just like their style, however RHCP really seem to have hit a gap that no other band can properly fill.
RHCP have affected both the funk world & the rock world with their albums, at the very least RHCP have helped to bring the funk to new members which in itself is more than PJ have achieved music genre wise (lets face it Rock is extremely popular amongst teens, not just because of PJ).

As for them ''being nowhere near it'' PJ are a damn good band & i love rocking out to their music but RHCP haven't done THAT much for music either in comparison to other bands, so don't think RHCP are the ''end all''.
Both are good though

What techniques can help me improve my charisma?

Never make negative assumption when you first meet someone. I went on a date with this guy. I was nervous when we first talked, just like when I meet everyone else. After a few greeting lines, he asked “you don’t speak good English”? This is a big turn off for me. He could have asked me if I’m nervous or something. Upon that question, I assumed that he’s not a smart guy. I lost interest in the dude immediately.Upgrade your questions. Don’t just simply ask a yes no or what question. For example, instead of asking: “what do you do for a living” ask them “what do you love and hate about your job”? Don’t just ask them what do they do for fun, ask them what do they love about that activity. For example if they tell you they like playing piano, ask them what do they love about paying piano or how it make they feel when they are playing it. Ask question that allows them to talk about themselves. If you can ask question that no one has ever asked them, you can make them think about things they have never thought of. For example, “if you win the lottery and no longer have to work for a living, what would you do”? If you meet an old person, asked them what would be their best advice for young people ? When you allow them to talk about things they love, they will associate that joyful feeling with you. When you make them think about things they have never thought of, they will think you’re a smart and intelligent person (even when you dont talk about yourself much).

What is the most rebellious thing you have done?

The most rebellious thing I've done is ordering food from a restaurant and not paying for it.This happened a few years back when I was probably 10 or 11.It was a warm afternoon in the neighbourhood. My cousin was in town visiting and we decided to go for a ride. My cousin was 8 at the time. He rode my brother's blue beach cruiser bike while I rode mine, a red beach cruiser. After about an hour of riding in the park and on the football field we got bored and decided to go home. On our way home we passed by a Chinese fast food restaurant and my cousin said he was hungry. We both had no money, but feeling mischievous I convinced him to go inside and order a fried chicken to go. He was hesitant at first but I kept persuading him until he got the courage to go in to place his order.(Obviously he knew what we where doing was wrong.)After placing his order, we stood outside guarding our bikes, since bikes got stolen often. The restaurant was bustling with people, jammed packed. We heard as the orders kept coming out. I became anxious as to what we were doing. All of a sudden I heard, “One five dolla fry chicken”. When I heard that, instead of going to pick up the order I shouted at my cousin, “run, run, lets go”. We hoped on the bikes and rode of quickly laughing and full of fear.I got scared and couldn't stop thinking the trouble I would of been in had we decided to grab the order of fried chicken.Looking back at it now it doesn't seem like a big deal, but at the time it was, and that's the most rebelious thing I've ever done.Well at least the one that has stood out to me the most.

What's the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?

Maths period, class 10.I was sitting with my best friend. Behind us, our guy-best-friend and his friend, let's name him XYZ, were sitting. Background: His friend was trying hard to impress me. And each maths period, they used to sit behind us. There stupid acts! We either used to fight or tried hard to hide our smile. Our Maths teacher could easily make out that nothing is fine at the last two benches. She even scolded me once that I'll get distracted and end up scoring like them (the two guys)That Day: So that day, they had crossed their limits. Both of them were singing some stupid song, I don't remember exactly but a Bollywood, romantic, devdas song. We, me and my best friend had decided that'll pay no attention to them. Suddenly XYZ spoke,“Arrey, sun bhi rahi ho na?(Are you even listening?)We turned back and we could find no one. They both had vanished. On looking here and there, we realised that they both had their faces in there bags. That day we couldn't stop laughing. Even though our Maths teacher was staring at us, we couldn't stop.Laughing and coughing continued for some time. And even in the lunch break, we were laughing about the same incident.XD
