What is the best way to reset an iPod touch?

You can make it through Settings app or iTunes. They both can reset your iPod touch to factory default. But the difference is, it will automatically update your iPod touch to the latest iOS system by using iTunes.Settings: You can go to “Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings”.iTunes: Connect your iPod touch to computer and launch iTunes > click the device icon from the top left corner on iTunes > hit “Restore iPod” at the right panel. But if you reset your iPod touch wanting to give it away, the above ways is not safe enough, especially when you iPod touch contains some of your private data. You’d best consider iOS data eraser to reset, it is much safer than iPod reset or iTunes restore. The one I know is iMyFone iOS Eraser. It can permanently reset your iPod touch, 100% unrecoverable.Or you can also refer to The Best Choice to Factory Reset iPod touch Safely. What's the best EQ setting for music on IPod?

like 3 years ago i liked to play around with EQ's, and liked to make custom ones on itunes etcetera. But i don't like to do that anymore and i suggest you dont either. What i've found is that the songs sound best the way they were recorded, and Equalizers usually distort the sound. I used to use bass booster because i listen to alot of rap and electronic but it makes the rest of the noises sound pretty muffled.
My solution depends on how youre listening to your music. If you're in a car, turning up the bass directly through the speakers is your best bet. If you listen on your computer, buy a pair of desktop speakers. If you listen on speakers, get a subwoofer (if you want more bass).
If youre using headphones, turn it up.
So to sum it up, dont use equalizers, they dont work very well.

What is the best alternative to an iPod for someone who has more than 5500 songs?

The answer is, there isn't one. The market for dedicated music players died in about 2011, even for Apple. There's no money in it as the market is so small, so there is no incentive for anyone to make one.As for your problems, they sound like they are t related to iPods or iPhones in general, but are based on your situation. You say iPhones don't have the capacity but they come in 256 GB sizes now. I'm sorry but no one needs more than that for music. If your iPod is taking that long to sync 10 songs it probably is broken as that is not typical. Have you tried anything newer? The market is for smartphones and streaming music. Dedicated music players don't exist much anymore and the only good ones are sold by Apple.

What is the best software for putting dvds on ipods?

I am a huge fan of DVD Decrypter (aka DVD Decrypher) and Videora for iPod.

Both of these are freeware but unfortunately DVD Decrypter is harder to find because Macromedia successfully had its development and distribution stopped because it can remove region protection and copying security.

However, assuming you find it, then use that to rip the DVD into a single VOB file and then use Videora to create the final mp4 file for your iPod.

Both applications are very easy to use and there are lots of tutorials on the web about this. The one below is an example.
