What Is A Good Car For A Architect

Is architecture a good career for stable employment and money?

First of all, I wouldn't consider being the head maintenance company for St. John or whoever to be lucky. Your teacher has a lot to learn between luck and opportunity. No one can generate luck, but we all can generate opportunity. I do not appreciate what your teacher said, her statement dismisses all the hard work by people throughout the industry. In any given vocation, there are pros and cons. Just because there is a potential for something bad to happen does not mean you avoid it. Every day, you get in a car or some form of transportation, do you worry about getting into an accident?
Select the field that gives you the best chance of success. Your personality will be good at something, only you can tell what that something is. Do not select a field based on earning potential No one can guarantee you a stable job, even city workers are being laid off. No matter how talented you are, without hard work, your chances of success is slim to none.

Which is a good career path, product owner/technical architect or a plain old developer?

Note: I might be actually biased in my answer, as I am a product owner myself :)The choice really depends on two things :1. Where your heart lies, and2. What set of soft skills do you have or want to develop as a personDo you take pride in writing good quality code? Do you bother more about how you implement a feature than what you are implementing? If you answered 'yes' to the questions above then I believe you are a techie at heart and I think a career as an architect/ software developer may serve you well.On the other hand, if you get a high from solving problems that haven't been solved before, and are data driven, and are completely ready to take the blame for a screw up while passing on the credit for a success, and are ready to get your hands dirty to get stuff done as well as carry drinks for the teams, listen a lot and lead only by influence, then product management might suit you.Its not as difficult as I made it sound,  but if you are okay with the above, then you get the perks that come along with being a product owner. As the name goes, you are the owner. You take decisions. You drive the product in the direction you want(though you need to take  everyone along and sell your vision). And believe me if you are good at it, you will virtually wield authority. It is a great way to learn to lead. Since you do not lead by authority you always have to lead by reasoning, thereby automatically sharpening your analytical skills and reliance on data. Then again, as you rightly pointed out it is a thin line between being perceived as a great product owner and a snooty one. So humility goes a long way for sure.Apart from all this product owners could also be great custodians of culture. They can make or mar the culture in a team. I have very often in my career seen, that there is a strong product owner behind a high performing engineering team. That said, product management is a very schizophrenic role. You have to play many roles at various times. Support and go against the same set of people at various times. Represent that view that is not present in the room and so on. Good luck with whatever you choose to make of your career. It is in your hands, always!I hope this was useful. (and that I have sold the product role well ;) )

Can an architect afford a lamborghini?

Depends what your salary is ...

If you have been in tune with how the economy is doing, and have learned anything from other peoples mistakes, Let me offer you a bit of advice. Living beyond your means will get you in trouble in a hurry. You'll find out someday what is ACTUALLY important in life. I'm only an engineer, so I drive an older truck. :) I could probably afford one, but Why?! Oh, wait ... maybe its because I have to tote around two car seats and a wife! ha!

Engineering vs. Architecture ?

Well the way i see it is that, Engineers are more into logical, technical and mechanical while Architects tend to be more artistic, philosophical and creative (not saying Engineers aren't creative). So perhaps that the Architect was implying that u were more inclined towards probably calculations, how-does-it-work, functionality and technical stuffs rather than into the beauty of design or aesthetics of something. Thus seeing u more as an Engineer rather than an Architect.

No career is better than another, they are just different in more than one way. In say, Indonesia and probably Germany, the Engineers are also the Architects which given them multiple advantage rather than being in just one career or profession. Marrying the two, having the combination of both aesthetics and functionality making a structure an engineering and architectural marvel and superbly unique.

I have a friend who was also involved in an accident and broke his leg, but he doesn't think of it as a detterent, so that should not deter u from being who u want to be, it might be slightly a disadvantage being an Architect because u would be having to go to do site inspections, seeing the work done as specified with quality workmanship, etc but u can always be a Design Architect (designing work in the office) than a Resident Architect (who resides at the construction site). Either way, anything can be worked out if u have the determination in you, regardless of your shortcomings.

What's the career path to become a car design architect?

It’s called an automotive designer. When I was studying, one of my friends switched courses after 1 year to an automotive design course. There are very few of these courses across the world, but all the main manufacturers recruit from them. As I’m given to understand, if you are able to get onto one of these courses, work hard and graduate, you are almost guaranteed to get a job designing vehicles - or more correctly, parts of them.Mechanical engineers design the functional bits. The aesthetic bits are designed by different people. You will have a team that design the exterior, another that designs the interior, and you have specialists for things like seats, dashboards etc. Major manufacturers and design studios tend to have lead designers, but it’s not the job of a single person. As I’m given to understand, you need to study mathematics and physics, and art at high school level. You will need to demonstrate a good level of artistic ability.
