You Can't Go Wrong With Some Hank Williams Jr, Merle Haggard, David Allan Coe, Waylon Jennings, Charlie Daniels, George Jones, (As Far As The Older Recording Artists. But There Are A Lot Of Up Coming Talent Being Played On The Radio Today, The Zac Brown Band Is One Great Group, As Well As Trace Adkins, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, ( But Between You And I, I May Never Be Able To SMOKE A Guitar Like Brad ) Kenny Chesney Has Some Good Stuff, Oh, And Ricky Skaggs Has Some Great Songs. What are some good country guitar songs? with solos?
If you are looking for electric guitar solos, the first thing that comes to mind is Dierks Bentley, "What was I thinking" for instance. A lot of his songs have some great country riffs in the solos and bridges. Some other good country guitar songs(in no particular order) are: Whiskey Lullaby - Brad Paisley w/ Alison Krauss Smoke Rings in the Dark - Gary Allan (or anything else by him) anything by Brooks & Dunn She's Country - Jason Aldean No shoes, no shirt, no problem - Kenny Chesney Save a horse, ride a cowboy - Big & Rich Honky Tonk Badonkadonk - Trace Adkins And if you're feeling crazy, Devil went down to Georgia by The Charlie Daniels Band... Technically, western music is NOT country. That's why it's called "country AND WESTERN" music. Listen to western music (e.g., the Sons of the Pioneers, Riders in the Sky, Gene Autry) to see the difference.

“Tell Lorrie I Love Her” by Keith Whitley. One of the greatest country singers of all time with a guitar in his hand at his house. No editing by a studio, just raw talent and emotion. It was written by him to express his love for his wife, Lorrie Morgan, for their wedding. Keith Whitley died of alcohol poisoning in 1989 at 33 years old, and this song wasn’t released to the public until 1990, which just adds to the power of this song. Would definitely recommend at least giving this song a listen. Well worth it in my opinion.
EASY Country songs to play on guitar?
Hello : ) I'm trying to learn how to play guitar and it's not been working out as well as I had hoped. haha. Lessons are not available to me so I've been trying to teach myself by just using the internet and chord books. I was wondering if anyone knew any easy songs that I could try to learn. Easy as in 3 or 4 chords. I'm not really looking for any old school or classic country. I'm into almost all of the newer artists (minus Carrie Underwood and a few others) Also, I don't have a capo so no songs that require one of those. Please don't suggest Taylor Swift because I've already been trying some of her songs (most of them need a capo anyway. haha) ummm I think thats about it. So no capo, classic country, or carrie underwood. haha Thanks so much for any help : )

Is a Fender blues Deluxe guitar amp good for country or only for blues and rock.?
The Fender Blues Deluxe is a great amp, to work with for any style, It has one of the best clean sounds you can get, without spending the mega bucks for "botique" stuff. Marshalls, while very good for heavy stuff, is not the best choice for most country pickers, not the best clean sound. The Tele is usually the 1st choice for country, tho the Strat can do anything too. Tele gives the "spank" a lot of pickers want, and if you don't think you can "rock out" with a Tele, listen to the 1st 3 Led Zep albums, all Page used at 1st, was a Tele, he got into Les Pauls later. My 1st choice for distortion, is always the Ibanez Tube Screamer, tho the Deluxe does work well with any pedals, as stated earlier. You will eventually build a small arsenal of pedals, chorus, etc. Most pickers have 2 or 3 distortion pedals, because they are different, depending on the type of dist for that song. The Ibanez gives the best natural tube distortion, Boss has several good dist pedals, all different "flavors", if you will. There are as many varieties of pedals, settings, sounds, as there are country pickers, from Merle Haggard, to Buck Owens to Brad Paisley to Sugarland, to Kieth Urban, I think you get the idea....

Can classic guitar,play country songs?
William is correct. As for Mike- Willie plays with a pick, not fingerstyle. "Classical" (nylon strung) guitars are used for lots more than just classical music. Flamenco? Hawaiian Slack Key? many "world" musics? Name one more guitarists who plays nylon? how about three off the top of my head -Jerry reed, Chet Atkins, Glen Campbell Mike is correct about one thing. Any reputable music store/instrument dealer can point you towards a 3/4 size guitar. Edited to add: Yes Willie's guitar is severely damaged from his playing style. Not from using a pick though. Construction of nylon strung and steel stung guitars is basically identical with respect to finish and thickness of the top-the two items which would have any effect on wear.
