Best Gaming Laptop for Under 300?
Funny, really. For $300 the only laptop you could find online would be a netbook but you couldn't find a single laptop at Best Buy or Mircocenter for under $300. And forget about that whole gaming bit. Add a zero to that figure and then we can talk. But honestly expect to pay at the very minimum $750 or $800. When you get that money, look at Asus, they're the best brand. Don't waste your time looking at Alienware, they're trash for the price. EDIT: $600 still won't cut it. This Asus packs a P8400 which can handle gaming well, the standard 4GB RAM and a 320GB HDD, and then the 9650M GT. This card can play every single game out there. How is this possible? Resolution. Asus was smart enough to realize that since the power of this card is limited, they matched it with a monitor that would allow the system to max out most games and still have it look good. The only game you couldn't make would be Crysis, but it would still be perfectly playable. For $900 this isn't a bad deal.

So, instead of a mac, so high end, high specs yet light and has a fantastic screen?Dell XPS are awesome. Super awesome.I have had only Macs since 2003. Last year I changed to Windows 10 and after months decided on the Dell. Leta face it, W10 is not quite there yet, kind of 90% of a mac but the machine is awesome. It is so fast and the 4K monitor is just licking good. It is so crisp. And finally I have a laptop with a great GPU.It does not heat up like crazy either. I play any games I put on it. I compile projects, work with photos and development and anything I throw at it. Awesome.HP has a new line of 13 and 15 inch laptops, Spectre 360 or something. They sure look great but I have not tested them.

There are alot of laptop's out there, like a whole lot. No one is going to be able to give you exact specifications on what you have to buy.That being said I can give you the advise to keep the price low. You don't need some high preformance laptop that runs games on extreme detail settings. You could probally find what you need at a price of 500$ (going off your regular USA amazon).If all you do is netflix and online classes you could even consider something lile a chromebook, which is pretty much a laptop with ONLY a browser.Even tough I said that no one can ever give you an exact model or specifications, there still are somethings to look out for:Hard drive: if most of what you do is online this shoudn't matter. If you want speed for your files and a fast computer in general, look for a Solid State Drive (SSD). If speed isn't that important to you but the ammount you can store is, just look at the numbers.Processor: don't worry about this. If you stick around the 500$ price range you're pretty much guaranteed something good enough. (anyone else feel free to correct me on this, giving advise on processors isn't my strong side)Ram: you probally want 16gb but if litterally all you do is internet 8gb should sufficeScreen resolution: try to not go under 1920x1080.That's all the advice I got for you.

Sometimes retail stores have good deals, but most of the time you will find better bargains online. If you can't find a good deal on a computer or laptop that you want, it is still usually better to order online because you can fully customize your laptop to suit your price or needs. Unlike shopping for a car or clothes, it isn't really necessary to see the laptop in person. Photos and dimensions of the laptop should be enough for you to decide if it's the right size and style for you.
Is this a good laptop for games like BF3, BF4, and Arma 3?
Nah, I just checked it out. Since it has integrated graphics card (Intel HD 4000) it isn't ideal for running high-end games such as BF3 and BF4. I'm not too sure about Arma 3 since I haven't seen it before. If you do get this laptop, the games will most likely lag and MAYBE playable on really low settings. The memory is fine, the processor is okay but the graphics card is lacking. (My friend has a computer just like the one that you want to buy except a different screen size and he can run Skyrim but on low settings). Try to find a laptop with a good dedicated graphics card. If you're good with computers, get a custom built computer. You could get one from the 500 to 700 price range that can run high-end games well. my daughter wants a laptop for christmas...she is 9 years old...she has decided that she will get one big gift (the laptop) and then a few little gifts...instead of lots of little gifts...so what i need to know is...i need a cute laptop for a girl or and a good one...possibly a smaller one...just give me some ideas...i dont want it to be overly expensive...but i dontwant to waste my money either on a cheap one that doesnt do wht she needs...thanks

Go for 8GB of RAM, and 500GB hard drive or bigger. If there is the option to have an SSD (Solid State Disk) then having this will speed up the computer enormously.Graphics design doesn’t use much power, unless you are working with large files in Photoshop, Illustrator or Indesign. Light graphic design will be fine on pretty much any laptop in this price range.Intel HD Iris graphics are basic but good enough, if you see Nvidia or AMD graphics card, then choose either of these as the computer will be more graphically capable.
