What Is A Good Recipe For Dog

What is a good recipe for hot dogs and potatoes?

You will probably think of this as trash food…but wow, I love diner food. I know, more times than I can recall, how in an unfamiliar locale, I ended up with the best tasting, fresh food, at a diner or truck stop. I remember having chopped potatoes (probably par-boiled first and parked,) with chopped mushrooms, peppers and onions, combined with sliced hot dogs and cooked on the flat top. The result was a golden crust on the edges of the potatoes, the veggies were el dente, the onions were sweeeeet, and the hot dog slices had browned areas. Oh my, that was truly delicious ! One customer had two eggs cracked over the top. Just about when finished, the cook cracked the two eggs on top, and put a cover over the whole thing on the flat top, to cook the egg with the steam and permeate them with the aroma of the onions and peppers….oh my…. Yum. I was already eating when I saw that, or I would have added that to my order. Either way…yum !!!! That was somewhere in Georgia….

Any really good chili dog sauce recipes...?

We have a great place here called G & L Chili Dogs and their sauce is great. No beans in it. Just finely ground beef and seasonings. I heard there is cinnamon in it.
Anyhow, any good recipes out there? Thanks!

Do you have a good recipe for a dog treat made from natural ingredients?

I just answered a very similar question to this! I generally prefer making my own treats as well as food for my dogs. This way I know what actually goes inside them. Yes, it is a balanced diet, they get exactly what they need and are very healthy dogs. You can give some vegetables in raw form itself, like carrots, mine love them! Apart from that, you could also try making a few treats like dehydrated sweet potatoes as well as those chewy doggy peanut butter cookies! You can also try out some brands that sell natural dog products. I get these Himalayan dog treats from Dogsee Chew. They love them, i guess its the cheesy flavour or maybe the texture of the product.

Do you have a good recipe for home-made cat or dog wet food?

This seems like a great idea. A few notes:1) Cook everything. This includes eggs and vegetables. Aside from the bacteria and indigestion risks, raw eggs also interfere with cat metabolism. Cooked eggs are fantastic for cats. 2) Never ever give your pet human medicine without getting vet approval. 2) Limit dairy, or start off small. Yogurt is generally safe for cats but too much will still cause diarrhea. 3) Too much liver leads to vitamin A toxicity. In fact, too much of any one type of meat will lead to problems. Switch up your proteins regularly. 4) Cats require a careful balance of nutrients and this can be very difficult to monitor and maintain on your own. It's also more expensive than commercial pet food. 5) If the problem is dehydration, maybe your cats simply don't like their water supply enough. Consider getting a cat fountain, or opening a faucet to see if they like running water more than the bowl of suspect cleanliness on the ground.

Purina One vs. Natures Recipe Dog food?

Looking at ingredients.....

Purina ONE (Chicken variety): Chicken, brewers rice, corn gluten meal, whole grain corn, poultry by-product meal

Chicken as #1 ingredient is good, but followed by 2 corn ingredients and by-product meal.....not good.

Nature's Recipe (Lamb variety): Lamb meal, cracked pearled barley, oatmeal, ground rice

Therefore........

Nature's Recipe is the winner when it comes to ''which is better''.

Any comments on HOLISTIC RECIPE dog food?

Instead of 'lamb', it should be 'lamb meat meal'. Meat sources in "meal" form (as long as they are from a specified type of animal, such as chicken meal, lamb meal, salmon meal etc.) are not inferior to whole, fresh meats. Meals consist of meat and skin, with or without the bones, but exclusive of feathers/hair, heads, feet, horns, entrails etc. and have the proper calcium/phosphorus ratio required for a balanced diet. They have had most of the moisture removed, but meats in their original, "wet" form still contain up to 75% water. Once the food reaches its final moisture content of about 9-12%, the meat will have shrunk to sometimes as little as 1/4 of the original amount, while the already dehydrated meal form remains the same and you get more concentrated protein per pound of finished product. This means that in the worst case you are left with only 4 ounces of actual meat content per pound of fresh meat included in a dry kibble, many of which contain less than one pound of meat per 2-3 pounds of grain to begin with. Preferably a food contains quality meat meal as well as some fresh meat.
