How does scoring work in track & field?
Scoring depends on the meet. Some score the top 6 places and some score the top 8 places.
How do high school track meets get scored?
in a dual meet it goes 5-3-1 5 points for 1st, 3 for nd and 1 for 3rd Relays are scored 5 points for 1st and no points for 2nd. Thus, with 4 relays, a team can win 20 points if they win all four, and just as important, the other team gets 0 points for 2nd. With runners limited to 4 events, it becomes a numbers game when trying to score enough points to win with a small team. You can run a runner in 4 ind. events that he can win but if the other school gets 2nd and 3rd, then they get 4 pts for your 5 pts. Boys and girls aren't scored together because on occasion boys and girls might run separate meets. We race in a state that includes private schools in it's competitions, and they may only have boys or girls, so they run different meets.
Why don't Indian batsmen score well in bouncy tracks in South Africa, Australia and England?
Adaptation is the key to success. Its normal that the Indian players are adapted to play on flat tracks and thus they play spin very well. Similarly players of South Africa and Australia are seen to struggle the most when they play in the subcontinent because they are very well familiar with the bouncing and fast tracks back home. So its not just for India it's for every team that plays outside its strong zones. Here adaptability becomes the key. It will at the end of the day depend on how quickly you have adapted to the overseas conditions.
MS girl track, good long-jumping distance?
The girls on my team average around 10'. The best is 14' 7". A tip that i have, at least personally, is not wimp out at the last second and slow down the pace. :P Make sure your takeoff is steady and quick. Just throw your body forward, but not so much that you can't land. :)
Is 110 average a good bowling score for a high school bowling team?
Ok well 110 may not be a great average but everyone has to start somewhere. When I started 30 years ago I averaged around 120. Now 30 years later I have been averaged over 210 for the last 15 years. It takes lots of practice and good equipment. What you need to do is start off by getting a good ball and shoes. And find a good bowler or pro. And just practice a couple times a week and learn to throw a hook. You will get better as time goes on.
My CIBIL score is around 780, how good is it? How can I improve more?
A credit score of 700+ is acceptable. 780 is a good score. You don't need to worry about improving it further - we should not treat it like academic percentages that we all attempted to maximize.It is important to maintain the score preferably above 750 (and at least above 700). This you can do by managing your bank debts better - taking debt as per your need and capacity, paying dues on time, using credit cards judiciously (not consistently using it above 40% of your card limit). Even if you miss or delay payment once in a while, make sure to get on track quickly.Further, keep checking your credit score and report at once in 6 months to ensure it is uptodate and on track. When ABD scores a ton against hapless west-indian attack he is class act. But when Rohit sharma scores a double ton againsta Sri Lanka he is just a flat track bully.You are one of those who would always overlook the contribution of our country men but praise if same made by likes of Stokes warner or ABD.Check stats, No batsman these days scores run out of his comfort zone.And about great god Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar i wont say a single word because words cant explain his innings that he played throughout 90s and 2000s.
