What is a good time for a 10 mile run?

I thought you meant time of day to run a 10 miler, for a training run. running at least 55 minutes is competitive and will do you good in a road race. however, if you want to place, and you are running say, the cherry blossom 10-miler, it helps to be incredibly fit, kenyan, and at the peak of your season. Just go out, have fun. Whatever you run, that's your 10 mile time. Do another ten mile race about 1-2 months later and try to improve YOUR time. Stop tryin to run other peoples times. Thats what i do.

What is a good time to run 5 miles in?

Ignore all the bragging!Just to run a full 5 miles is an achievement. For a 20yo in good shape, (and I don't mean a regular runner, just not morbidly obese or suffering from any illness,) a time of 40 min or less would be pretty good. In fact, for a non runner of any age, 10 min per mile would be OK as a start point. Keeping that up for 5 will take at least a bit of training. From day one of your running, it would take about 6 weeks, running 3–4 times per week, to knock 25% off your initial time. But you wouldn't start off with the full 5 miles. If you take it seriously, there's no reason why you shouldn't be aiming for a much quicker time. But take your time and get a good training plan or you'll end up injuring yourself.

What is the average time to run 10 miles?

If you could do it in an hour that would be good. 55 minutes is better.

Let's say that the average person will probably run a speed of 6 mph, or one mile every 10 minutes. That would mean to run 10 miles, it would take the average person about 100 minutes, or 1:40:00.

if you can get under 1:20:00, that's a fairly good time. Running a 10-mile in under an hour means you are incredibly fast and good at sustaining a speed of at least 10 mph on average.

What is the average time to run a half mile?

female track runners usually under 3:00

What is a good time for running 4 miles?

I just started running this year trying to get into better shape. I'm 18 about 5'9 and 135 lbs and I was wondering what would be good times for 1 mi, 2, 3, 4 etc. I have not been really technically timing myself but I was curious today so I added up all the times of the songs I went through on my Ipod while running the 4 miles and it was about 21 minutes. Is that good/bad/decent for a beginner runner?

I think I'm gonna start timing myself more consistently so I can set a goal and see how I improve..what should I shoot for cause I dont really have a clue what is considered good?

What's a good amount of time to run a mile in?

It depends on age, gender, and experience. For an average person who runs for fitness, 7 to 8 minutes is a good time. For a serious runner, anywhere from 4:50 to 6:30 is a respectable time, depending on age and gender. For a great runner, anywhere from 4:10 to 4:40. Females who run in this range are typically elite runners. The world record for women is 4:12, which has never seriously been challenged. The US American women's record is 4:16. Mary Decker Slaney of the USA has run the mile under 4:20 the most times in history for a female runner at 4 times. The world record for men is 3:42, but that is up in the stratosphere and a God-like performance. Elite male runners are sub-4:00 to 4:10. High-School age boys who can run 4:10 or faster are exceptional runners. Sub-4:00 is still a spectacular feat for running. Only 5 or 6 high school boys have ever broken the 4:00 barrier. Today, at last count 855 male athletes have gone under the 4:00 mark. While it might seem like a large number, it is an elite group when you consider that the number includes all runners from all over the world since track and field records have been maintained from 1860.

What is a good time for running 800m (half a mile)?

I am a ninth grade who runs 800m in track and i'm wondering what's a good time to get. I ran that event last year as well but i was injured too so naturally my time was slower and no where near what it needed to be. My best time was 3:16 :(
