What Is Dreaming Also A Multiple Reality Theory

Is waking life and dream life just alternating realities?

The "Experts", claim that the brain NEVER "sleeps", and is actually more active when in the "rem" mode .
Some have very vivid dreams that have great detail, and assorted characters within them that interact and seem real.
Is the brain interacting with other actual people in a similar state of "rest", and/or is it simply the mind in some abstract way resolving or supplying thoughts and experiences to supplement real Life.
Curiously, we know that man made computers can "network", have" back up" systems, "mainframes" etc..
It may not be such a "stretch" to at least consider the possibility that the Human Mind is capable of that and MORE. Peace

If multiple realities exist, does it mean that there is a reality where Pokémon is real?

FriendsThere is one tale. One fine morning Sufi master called all his pupils and said, look, last night I had dream in which I became butterfly. Now,since morning, seeing butterfly in our garden I am puzzled that if butterfly would have dreamt to be Sufi in its dreamthan which is real reality ?Sufi who is talking to you,Sufi who became butterfly in dream,Butterfly flying right now in garden orSufi who is dreaming butterfly.ThanksQ guru

Given multiverse theory, could our dreams be a glimpse into alternative realities?

If there be multiverse(s) then yes, it’s possible, but not much sense to it. I totally agree with Rui Silva’s answer on this. He puts it better than I could. On the other hand, why not consider the many worlds that co-exist with our physical world (“world” meaning our local chunk of universe). I refer to, among others, the world of thought. There is an undeniable interaction between the world of thought and the physical world, each influencing and changing the other. Another co-existing world is the emotional world, also influencing the physical and intellectual worlds via our feelings. Ok, to complete the set lets include the “spiritual” world as an equally influential part of the system. There ought to be a better word for it, like the world of desire, i.e. what we want, be it god or money or anything in between, lies here.Call me an alchemist if you like, but what I see here is (at least) four worlds co-existing in the same space. No need to look beyond the stars to find your multiverse, it’s here and now. And dreams are definitely playing a role in the interaction between these realms.Sweet dreams Angus.

Is it possible that we (human beings) are living in multiple alternate realities right now, and our dreams are just blurry representations of what we're doing in those realities?

Is it possible that we (human beings) are living in multiple alternate realities right now, and our dreams are just blurry representations of what we're doing in those realities? We are living in an illusion of our own making. It is time to wake up to what is real.Since the end of the second world war the people of the British empire,America and their allies have been guided by the plans of a few families and individuals who have their own agenda. ‘A new world order’. The purpose is to keep a tight reign on the collective human conscious mind. The combination of ‘the media’,religion, history and science has done a good job in forming illusions for us to follow. There are some people who are becoming aware of the multidimensional nature of themselves and the world around them. A new cosmic energy is pervading all matter on earth which is assisting the rise in human consciousness of what is real.Recognising a universal creator is now necessary to understand who we are as human beings that are mind/body/spirit complex's. The Egyptians understood this as the way of things but kept it exclusively for the elite. They knew ways to balance the mind/body/spirit combination to give individual humans great power but not in the way the creator imagined or desired. If we let go of our intellectual understanding of things and meditate with an open mind then our dreams will begin to guide us to see what is the true nature of all phenomena. That it is love and light of the creators original desire to serve the greater good from our own individual free will..

Cartoons..another reality!?

A highly speculate topic, but interesting. It would belong more to the realm of creative writing than science, however. But it's almost plausible as an extension of some modern physics, which allows for alternate universes with alternate physical laws. One could speculate that ideas in one universe might form objective reality. This is a concept long known in literature.

For example, some eastern religion holds that reality is merely a dream in the Cosmic One.
There is a popular movie based on a similar "layered" dream multi-universe concept. (Inception)
You might want to find the text to the book "Flatland", which approaches your concept from a different angle. I give a link where you can read it online. It's not long.

And of course, there is a Simpson's movie which related directly to your concept.

Is life all a dream?

I just started thinking about weird things like how do you know if you're awake right now. I know you think you are but when I think about it I can remember dreams I've had where something terrible happened and I was just wishing and wishing It was all a dream but I knew it wasn't. But then of course I woke up and it was all a dream. But what if what I right now think is the dream is really the reality, and this is just the dream, how do you know? I know right now you feel very sure that you're awake and its really obvious to you, but I feel the same way in dreams, when I'm dreaming I think THAT'S the reality? and what is reality even? does it even exist? what are you'r thoughts on the subject, please explain them simply cause I'm only a kid and don't know many big words ;)

Thanks!

If you dream repeatedly of your parents/siblings/friends/relatives death, what does that mean? What can you do to make these dreams go away?

Dreams are inexplicable sometimes. The conscious and subconscious mind constructs some visualizations based on the past and present life of yours and the way you want to see it in future, in your thoughts. Whatever you see in the dreams may or may not have any relation to reality, however various studies give various theories for the kind of dreams you possess and various reasons for it!The things that happen all throughout the day and few overlapped memories influence your dreams, sometimes its purely random and sometimes based on the things you were doing and thinking just before going to the bed. However i read the following possibilities of such dreams in an article i read somewhere.1If you find yourself talking to a dead in your dreams, this indicates that you are surrounded by people who are not compatible with you and this compatibility issue is causing a negative effect on your personality. This also symbolizes some kind of material loss and you need to get recovered from that loss as early as possible.2Dreams are an indication of what we are thinking. If you are constantly seeing a person who is recently died, this means that you miss that person and he had left some impact on your mind. It also indicates that you are adapting the problems similar to that of the person you are seeing in your dreams.3Usually you use dreams as a channel to talk to those people who are gone such as parents. The fear of losing a person also leads you to this path. These dreams may also mean that you are trying to understand their death.4Seeing dead siblings indicates that you miss the fun and time spent with them. You select dreams for reliving those experiences.5Parents who have lost their child in any incident dream of that child might mean that they want to keep their child through their thoughts and want to see him grow up in their dreams.6If you see a person dying who is already dead, then this is an indication that you miss that person on some special occasion which is related to that person such as birthday, anniversary, etc.

Alternate/Parallel Universes and Infinite Realities?

So, I don’t know too much about the whole theory of parallel universes. But it is my understanding that there are an infinite number of parallel universes in which every single possible reality exists. (If this is not true, please disregard the rest of this question)

Anyway, so I was watching a tv show in which the main antagonist at the time figured out a way to destroy the known universe and every parallel universe as well. Ultimately making everything in the entirety of existence (and every parallel existence) into nothing.

This made me think, IF there are an infinite number of alternate realities, wouldn’t that mean that in at least 1 alternate reality, there is a super advanced being who has tried (and succeeded) to break apart the fabric of reality and likewise had it spread across every single parallel universe? If so, wouldn’t that mean I shouldn’t exist right now?
