Who will be the key signings for Liverpool?
Adam Lallana is surely a key signing, who will have to perform right from the start, because with the departure of Suarez, the prospects do not look that good. And instead of signing every new talent with the money we are getting from the Suarez deal, we need to use it smartly, like Anurag Mishra has pointed out in his answer. We dont want a fiasco like Spurs to happen with us.One signing that could prove a very good deal already is Rickie Lambert, as he is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League, and had goals and assists in double figures last season.But we need more signings, and although the imminent arrival of Markovic is a good sign, we need experienced players to fill the big void left by Suarez. Probably someone like Benzema, or Higuain.Origi is another player who is being linked to the club, but he would likely to be one for the future. Rush left, Fowler came.Fowler left, Owen came.Owen left, Torres came.Torres left, Suarez came.I think we can hope that somebody will fill his shoes.Also, the big problem with LFC last season was defence. We were leaking goals! We need to sign defenders in addition to strengthening the bench. We cannot compete in the Champions League with the dismal defensive record we had last season.Dejan Lovren, Alberto Moreno, Micah Richards, and the likes should be good signings. We really need a CB and a LB/RB. With injury to Enrique last season, we were pretty exposed on that flank, although Flanagan had some great performances, but again, we need more experience. Johnson was not performing to the standards last season.With Sevilla interested in Aaspas, Moreno deal should become easier hopefully. We must continue the pursuit of Lovren. Because in addition to making the first team stronger, we need to strengthen our bench also as we are gonna be competing in 4 competitions this season, and that is not an easy task.Last season what we had on the bench was Moses, Aaspas, Luis Alberto, Allen, Lucas. They are in no way game changers, not capable of providing that spark in the field.
