I'll just preface this by saying that wolves are top predators for a reason, and that there aren't many animals more dangerous than a wolf that's been backed into a corner. I totally agree with you. The pit is the number one dog responsible for more human fatalities than any other breed but followed very closely by the Rott. A Rott from a responsible breeder is a big exception. BYBers have ruined more breeds & they just keep popping out very low quality pups. I feel it should be an individual thing & get temperament testing when they get rabies shots. It is a very simple test & it should be made mandatory. Not just on pits or any of the BSL breeds. I bet there are more aggressive chihuahua's than any other breed. Nasty, noisy, yapping little biters. Not a total ban, just the ones that don't pass a temperament test should be dealt with, euthanized.

It's not called a period. It's called estrus, or coming into heat. About six months, but it can even be a little sooner than that. Please don't breed her, there's enough unwanted pitbulls in the world as it is. If you can't get her to the vet soon enough to be spayed, you need to be really careful to avoid her getting impregnated. Pit bulls are prone to snoring, juse like pugs. If your pup is breathing rather heavily, or unevenly, take her to the vets to get her checked out, just in case. If i was you, I would do so anyway!
