What Is Meant By Software Data

The concept of software resources includes all sets of information processing instructions. This generic concept of software includes not only the sets of operating instructions called programs, which direct and control computer hardware, but also the sets of information processing instructions called procedures that people need.It is important to understand that even information systems that do not use computers have a software resource component. This claim is true even for the information systems of ancient times or the manual and machine-supported information systems still used in the world today. They all require software resources in the form of information processing instructions and procedures to properly capture, process, and disseminate information to their users. The following are examples of software :•System software, such as an operating system program, which controls and sup-ports the operations of a computer system. Microsoft Windows and Unix are two examples of popular computer operating systems.•Application software, which are programs that direct processing for a particular use of computers by end users. Examples are sales analysis, payroll, and word processing programs.•Procedures, which are operating instructions for the people who will use an in-formation system. Examples are instructions for filling out a paper form or using a software package.

Software:It is a general term used to describe a collection of computer programs, procedures, and documentation that perform some task on a computer system. Practical computer systems divide software systems into three major classes: system software, programming software, and application software, although the distinction is arbitrary and often blurred. Software is an ordered sequence of instructions for changing the state of the computer hardware in a particular sequence. Software is typically programmed with a user-friendly interface that allows humans to interact more more efficiently with a computer system.Hardware:It is best described as a device, such as a hard drive, that is physically connected to the computer or something that can be physically touched. A CD-ROM, computer display monitor, printer, and video card are all examples of computer hardware. Without any hardware, a computer would not function, and software would have nothing to run on. Hardware and software interact with one another: software tells hardware which tasks it needs to perform.

What is meant by software??

Computer software is a general term used to describe a collection of computer programs, procedures and documentation that perform some tasks on a computer system. The term includes application software such as word processors which perform productive tasks for users, system software such as operating systems, which interface with hardware to provide the necessary services for application software, and middleware which controls and co-ordinates distributed systems.

"Software" is sometimes used in a broader context to mean anything which is not hardware but which is used with hardware, such as film, tapes and records.

What do u mean by software?what are different types of software's?

Software:
Computer instructions or data. Anything that can be stored electronically is software. The storage devices and display devices are hardware.
The terms software and hardware are used as both nouns and adjectives. For example, you can say: "The problem lies in the software," meaning that there is a problem with the program or data, not with the computer itself. You can also say: "It's a software problem."

The distinction between software and hardware is sometimes confusing because they are so integrally linked. Clearly, when you purchase a program, you are buying software. But to buy the software, you need to buy the disk (hardware) on which the software is recorded.

Software is often divided into two categories:

systems software : Includes the operating system and all the utilities (Anti-Virus, Firewall, Norton Ghost) that enable the computer to function.

applications software : Includes programs that do real work for users. For example, word processors, spreadsheets, and database management systems fall under the category of applications software.

What exactly is "Software Skills"?

Other ways, Reverend? Only one way that I know of. Ask yourself "Who am I?" Do not ask anyone else. All else is a variation of this question. One can start out asking some other question, but eventually the question does become this one. The question has a history older than spoken or recorded history and the result is always the same. Eventually, to genuine askers, the answer becomes so obvious that he/she will never need a pastor again. The very idea or concept of a "pastor" will come to seem like a hoax played out on him/herself. There are no answers of any usefulness found anywhere else outside asking oneself. With this answer the question of "proof" is moot. Other's claims based on belief or even their personal faith cannot be falsified - and who would want to - as they are also personal and in response to their own search. You may think you have a better answer, but you only have your answer. Leave others strictly alone, and if you really asked that question seriously, you will naturally want to leave others alone - unless they ask as you have done here. You will understand both the meanness and the futility of any religious agenda. You will be flattened by the authentic sense of compasion. Talk about it? Don/t bother because words are only concepts based on yet other concepts. God realization is not a concept. Words are only pointers at best. In reality, you have said nothing. If you really are a Reverend, then your best help for your flock would be to answer their questions with a steady loving gaze and complete silence. That should do until you and they get the hang of it. Good Luck. Check that you are still breathing...you have just found god if you are.

Generally, Data Entry is to enter or update data in form of computer database from different paper documents, other data base, forms and other manual memos. What is meant by database?

A database is a system intended to organize, store, and retrieve large amounts of data easily. It consists of an organized collection of data for one or more uses, typically in digital form. One way of classifying databases involves the type of their contents, for example: bibliographic, document-text, statistical. Digital databases are managed using database management systems, which store database contents, allowing data creation and maintenance, and search and other access.
Database architecture consists of three levels, external, conceptual and internal. Clearly separating the three levels was a major feature of the relational database model that dominates 21st century databases.

The external level defines how users understand the organization of the data. A single database can have any number of views at the external level. The internal level defines how the data is physically stored and processed by the computing system. Internal architecture is concerned with cost, performance, scalability and other operational matters. The conceptual is a level of indirection between internal and external. It provides a common view of the database that is uncomplicated by details of how the data is stored or managed, and that can unify the various external views into a coherent whole

Data which can be read and understood without any special efforts are known as plain-text or clear-text. The method to disguise these plain-text in such a way as to hide its substance is known as data encryption. In other words, data encryption is one of the mechanism which is used to protect confidential information of users like personal documents, pictures, online transaction or any other important things which user would not like to share with anyone, unless they are permitted.Encryption works through mathematical formula which is known as cipher and a key to convert readable data (Plain Text) into a form that no one can understand (Cipher Text). The cipher is the general way for encryption, & the associated key makes that encrypted data unique. In order to achieve Encryption, there are 3 widely used methods, Hashing, Symmetric & Asymmetric methods. These are 3 of the methods which are used widely.

How is software used in the informatoin tecnology?

Software is one of the primary element in the I.T. Software has different meaning in different places. Software is the interface between hardware and operating system.
Data- A data is a collection of information.
Instructions-Instructions are the command that used on data to get the proper result for us.

What does it mean to "manipulate data"?

Generally when somebody says data has been "manipulated", they're suggesting it's been altered in a way to achieve a desired result. As in Jim's example, he's claiming the data didn't support the desired conclusion, so scientists "manipulated" it to show what they wanted to see.

This is rarely reflective of reality. Data is constantly analyzed and corrected. The example Jim raises is a good one. It's very difficult to analyze atmospheric temperature data from satellites because they have to peer down through all layers of the atmosphere. If you just want to know the temperature of one layer, you have to make sure you're just looking at the data from that layer and not any others. A University of Washington study felt that the RSS analysis hadn't successfully removed the lower stratospheric data from the mid-troposphere data, so they did their own analysis. I would call that a correction or an update or an alternative analysis, Jim calls it a "manipulation" for no apparent reason.

The only way to know the difference between a correction and a manipulation is to go into the paper and see exactly what the scientists did. Something I guarantee Jim did not do before claiming the paper in question was a manipulation. Note that the paper passed peer-review, and as far as I know no scientists claim it's a "manipulation". If you disagree with their analysis, then feel free to explain why. But don't just assume it's a manipulation because you don't like the results.

To a denier, any correction which changes the data in a way that supports AGW is a "manipulation". Any correction which changes the data in a way which undermines AGW is concrete proof AGW is wrong (for example see Spencer's work).

note to Jim - if you don't want your answers deleted, then answer the question that's been asked. I didn't ask for conspiracy theories, my question was about the warming of the mid-troposphere.
