MLA Format: How to write a title?

Coop is right: you should italicise the title. (Underline it only if your computer or word processor can't do italics.)

The rule is: a long work (like a novel, a long poem, a play, a film, or the title of an album) has its title italicised; a short work (like a short poem or a song) has its title in inverted commas. So, _The Godfather_ would be in italics, _Paradise Lost_ would be in italics, but 'A Valediction Against Mourning' ( a short poem) would be in inverted commas.
