What Is My Netbook Worth

Can you get itunes on a netbook ? Are they worth getting ?

if you are not a gamer and just use a computer for facebook/myspace and email, then a netbook is a good affordable computer for you. You can also use iTunes on it. The benefit of a netbook is mostly the price, but battery life is much better as well. I own 7 laptops. Two are for my kids, one is strictly for work, one is my macbook for graphics/editing, one is an older laptop left in the bathroom for that time, and the other 2 are netbooks. I play pogo games and Zynga games on the netbooks as well and read email and go on facebook with no problems. If you're not playing WoW, then a netbook should be fine for you.

Is the new Intel Atom n450 worth the upgrade to a new netbook?

Its not worth it unless you really need the slighly extra power !! General applications won't probablky see any noticeable difference. I suggest you withold and save up, then when your current netbook starts failing, splurge on a really nice one, which will be far more advanced as you would have given it some time.... soon, we will be seeing SSD's in netbooks probably !! those are worth it to wait a little longer for.. should have a great boost in performance.

Is it worth buying a netbook?

It is recommended to go for Laptop instead. There are laptops that will provide more features than the Netbook and that too in cheaper price.

Just get the configuration form your nearby computer & peripherals dealer.

What is best for me, a laptop or a netbook?

I've been offered a free netbook for 25€ a month, with unlimited access.
or a free laptop for 30-35€ a month, the laptops are NEVER worth more than 400€

But I don't know which is right for me, I've had a laptop before but it was a 17" Screen. It was quite BiiG and so I never took it any where, I did have the Mobile broadband for it, but you only paid for what you used, I used about 7€'s worth a month.

I think I would find a netbook more useful because they are SMALL, but they don't have a DVD drive, so if I wanted to use it as a mini-DVD player, like I've used my laptop before. I wouldn't be able to.

But I HATE Slow PC's ect. and I'm wondering if the Netbooks would be too slow for me, general Social Networking sites and Yahoo messenger

What would you reccomend me to have? What do you have?

Some extra advantages and disadvantages also please

Is it worth it to have a pc tablet?

Yes, it is worthy.I don't know what ereader you own, judged by my experience with Kindle DX, it is just  terrible to read on a ereader. The slowness drives you crazy and depressed, especially when you have to page up and page down frequently, which is not uncommon when you read some technical material or a textbook.A netbook is grouped with laptop and desktop, against another group consisting of smart phone and tablet. You don't browser facebook on subway with your netbook.Tablet are meant to solve these problem. It is portable enough to be carried with, big enough to watch movie, fast enough to flip book back and forth. The only problem with it is the cost, I think. You can buy a made-in-China one, cheap, not-so-luxury, but still works. The next year, while your neighbor buy another $50 case for his first generation iPad, you just give your $120 android tablet to your grandpa and  buy a new one with stronger soecs at $80.Disclaim: I am a maker of such tablet.

Is netbook useful for software?

Most software works well on a netbook. Engineering and scientific software may need a lot of RAM and perhaps even a processor specific to the software so ask the vendor to give you a specific YES or NO for each item of software you intend to load onto the netbook. If possible, have the vendor sign a statement for each item of software, certifying that it will work on the netbook.

What is the best netbook for writing?

The MacBook Air is the best option for a travel writer apparently, I have researched it for a while now. A MacBook Air and iPad are a good combination when using apple pages since they sync up and you can write on one when the battery on the other runs out. It also gives you access to two screens if need be. MacBook Air has great battery life and weighs less than almost any other NetBook whilst at the same time being extremely powerful and thus versatile should you need it for other uses or have many windows open for research and the like. It also has dictation capability as does the iPad. They should fit comfortably in your backpack or messenger bag. However they are very expensive, but they are probably the very best options you have.

What OS would you install on an old Toshiba NB255 Netbook to make it usable?

If you want to install a linux distribution(what I would recommend) you should probably go for LXLE. It's based on Lubuntu (and Ubuntu) so you will be getting all the repositories that Ubuntu has and the ability to be light on resources but heavy on functions! It uses an optimized LXDE interface which looks really good for its resources. LXLE’s moto is: Revive that old PC! so you could try and see if it’s the truth! At the end I also want to mention that linux .com says that it’s the best lightweight linux distribution so I highly reccomend you to try it(The Best Linux Distros for 2017). I hope you Revive that old netbook!P.S.: This is my first Quora Answer!
