What Is On My Upper Lip Medical Advice

What are some home remedies for dark upper lips?

In the aspect of home remedies I suppose it’s possible you could try exfoliation. Skin lightening (bleaching) creams could work too.I don’t have extreme confidence, if any at all, about these but here are some.Honey and lime juice: Mix a little honey and lime juice (you could also use lemon) and apply it to your upper lip. The citric acid in the lime juice bleaches the skin, while the honey softens and moisturizes.Almond oil: Almond oil is a good product for lightening the skin, as it nourishes and hydrates the skin, while also encouraging skin rejuvenation. Heat up a small amount of the oil and massage it into your upper lip.I’d stay skeptical about the latter two. This wasn’t medical advice.

My upper lip feels numb. What can it be?

I would see a doctor. This sounds like it’s bothering you so get it checked out. I don’t like t give medical advice if I don’t know. Laurie in Mimi

Can you put lotion on an upper lip burn?

Not usually. Most lotions have water, which necessitates a preservative. Most preservatives aren’t safe for consumption, which means they can’t be used in lip care products. I would hold a freshly-brewed tea bag against it. Aloe gel should also be safe. Depending on what kind of burn it is, a lipbalm with lavender essential oil and a tiny amount of peppermint essential oil may help.

Bump on upper lip due to peeling help?

No one can accurately diagnose your skin condition via cyberspace. Any advice you get here is will never on par with that of a real doctor If you want medical advice, then Yahoo! Answer is the last place you want to go and ask your question when you can see a pharmacist or doctor. The trade-off is huge: a medical physician versus a total random stranger with no knowledge of your medical history and skin condition. No honest person will tell you that s/he knows exactly what you have and give you the correct treatment protocol. That is what you call wishful thinking.

Bottom line: if you do not know, then no one knows honestly here.

Why do I get white pimples above my upper lip from time to time and is it possible to heal them forever without the help of professionals?

Pimples on the upper lip are signs of hormonal fluctuations or digestive track issues. If you are female, notice if they happen right before or during your cycle. And if you are male or female pimples around the mouth or chin can be a sign of digestive upset. Everything that happens (skin wise) around the mouth/jaw region is usual a disturbance in our abdomen or sexual organ region. Which means hormonal or digestive disturbances. Even inside our mouth shows signs of digestive disturbance when we suffer the dreadful canker sore. You can’t heal them forever, but diaper rash ointment (also known as zinc oxide - the stuff we use for sun burn) is great for healing these skin eruptions. Put it on the spot overnight than wash in the morning. Zinc Oxide is very healing to the skin, even pimples.

If I use Nair for face on my upper-lip, will the hair grow back thicker?

I can't seem to find a good answer to the age-old dilemma on whether hair really does grow back thicker. Some say it's a myth and that it just seems thicker when you shave because the new growth is made up of blunt/brittle ends while others swear by it...

I'd like to use Nair on my upper lip. I don't have a mustache or anything, you know, just peach-fuzzish hair..not like anyone can see it and my husband can't even notice it unless I make him look real closely, but it's one of those things where I notice it enough that I'd like to get rid of it. I am just nervous to make the first move because I don't want to find myself having to do it forever because it grows back thicker.

Advice, opinions? Better to leave it alone if it's not a real problem, or okay b/c it won't make it worse?

Help! My upper lip is swelling after I used Nair on it. What do I do?

It sounds as if you are like me and have sensitive reactions to Nair. Try putting a little witch hazel on the area. It is great for skin irritations, bug bites, bee stings, etc.

Then follow that with an application of aloe vera gel. You can even use the gel from the leaf of the plant if you have one growing.

Hope this helps a little with your question.

My smiley (lip frenulum) piercing ripped out. HALP.?

so i pierced my smiley a month or so ago. i noticed it was slowly getting lower and lower, and eventually the hole grew a lot bigger than the jewelry itself. at this point it was clear my piercing was rejecting pretty bad so i figured id take it out until it closed up then get it redone.

except that i took it out last night, and this morning it ripped. so now i have this little fleshy flappy thing on my frenulum and its weird.

will this ever heal so i can get it repierced in the future?

Why is the lower lip more prone to cracking than the upper lip?

Not able to give a scientific answer, but my opinion is the lower lip is more exposed to the sun. The upper lip gives somewhat of an "awning" effect, and might be shaded somewhat because of its' position. In any event, sometimes we forget that lips can get sunburned too, and need some type of sun protection.   The sun is the most frequent cause of chapped, cracked or peeling lips. And actinic keratosis and even cancer can occur there.
