What Is Polic Academy Main Theme Called

What is your favorite police or law enforcement themed TV show of all time?

“POLICE STORY” THE FIRST REALISTIC POLICE DRAMAThe TV show was called "POLICE STORY" and dealt with all aspects of police work from patrol work to detectives, to the administration, and everything in between from academy classes to retirement issues. It was created by Joseph Wambaugh the famed retired police officer and writer and featured stories about the Los Angeles Police Department. It didn't center around just a couple central characters, but each week had different characters in new roles. Some actors would appear in four or five episodes, but it didn't have the regular few actors we see over and over again in todays crime dramas. It also touched on the taboo issues in police work of alcoholism, marital issues and stress-related problems. It also addressed officers dealing with duty injuries, psychological problems and women becoming police officers. This was unheard of cutting edge stuff for the 1970s.The show ran from 1973 to 1979 which was when I was in high school and college. I can actually recall discussing different topics from the show in police science classes. The cast was as diverse as the episodes including football greats Don Meredith and Dick Butkus. It had close to one hundred different actors in its six-year 101 episode run.It was a show ahead of its time and ushered in the likes of Hill Street Blues and Law & Order and many other serious and not so serious crime dramas. It was the first show to accurately depict life as a police officer and for that reason will always be my favorite.

Why should the ladies, gentlemen and trolls of GWS . . .?

. . . watch Dr. Phil on Monday?

Because the founder of that stupendous website, menarebetterthanwomen.com, has been tapped to be a temporary resident of the Dr. Phulofit House.

This "house" takes people with opposing points of view and has them live together for a short period of time. Dick - what's his name, Masterson?- was not identified as anything other than a man who hates women, and Dick of course was totally obnoxious, just like certain people here. His opponent is a woman who "hates men." She was not identified as a feminist, and he wasn't called an anti-feminist. They're just two people who hate the opposite gender.

The objective of the stay in the house, of course, is to eliminate whatever hatred and bigotry the resident possesses. I suspect they're going to have a real challenge in Mr. Dick. He is an ugly little man, totally unlikeable, and truth to tell she wasn't much better.

Monday. Be there. There will be a quiz the next day.

The old raincoat that Columbo wears was in fact, Peter Falk’s own coat.Falk chose the car for Columbs, saying “That’s the car Columbo drives”Columbo had a new concept of the murder mystery genre, instead of the viewer working out who the murderer might be, we see the murder at the begining and watch as Columbo work his magicDuring scenes where we see Columbo searching for a pen or a piece of paper, we see Columbo fumbling around his pockets and seem to take his time. What do police officers think of the COPS TV show?

I used to watch every episode. COPS came on in 1989 when I was in the process of being hired by the Police Department. I wanted to know everything about being a cop and the show was so cool. While I was in the police academy we would discuss the weekly episodes in class. As I got on the street and started learning the job, I would watch the show with my wife and point out different fine points of what the officers were doing and why. As I became more street experienced I started to realize that the officers were acting differently, than I would. They seemed to cool and calm and diplomatic. I thought at the time it was because they knew they were being recorded and would be on TV.In the late 1990s I worked on the Narcotics Task Force. It was a time when the COPS TV show was really popular. The task force was executing a search warrant on a drug house. As we crashed through the door and we secured a number suspects in the house, one of team members pulls out a Sony walkman tape player. He hits play, and the theme song plays.. Bad boys, bad boys, what you gonna do, what you gonna do when we come for you…. The subjects in custody didn’t see how cool it was, be we did. We were just like the TV show.About a year later the COPS TV show actually filmed part of an episode in our small city. I watched a car stop, which appeared on the show, from a distance. There were bright camera lights and camera men and it didn’t look much like a real car stop but more like a scripted show. I understood why the officers on the show seemed to act differently. I lost interest in the show after that and moved on and started watching the HBO series: The Wire.

Which series had a gay police officer in it?

I doubt this is the series that you're looking for, but in the 80's, "Homocide: Life on the Street" had a bisexual/homosexual detective Tim Bayliss. He wasn't sure what he was, it was part of the character.
In NYPD Blue, there was a clerk names John who was very open and out although not a cop.
In White Collar, The African American agent that was Peter's former partner in DC is a lesbian.
Law and Order, ADA Serina Sutherland was a lesbian, although we didn't find out until her last episode and in several of the popular shows on now and in recent past have had one episode characters that were gay, some open, some still in the closet.
I guess it's still more acceptable for cops to be lesbians that male and gay. We haven't come as far as we wish we have.
Oh yeah...L&O:SVU...Agent/Dr george Huang plays an openly gay character.
B.D. Wong has been an openly gay actor in Hollywood for years now and whether he plays a charater who happens to be gay as in SVU or a hard *** special forces soldier (pre don't ask/don't tell or its repeal) in "Executive Decision" with Kurt Russell, he's one of the classiest men in Hollywood in my opinion.
