What is a healthy, quick breakfast?

Here are some healthy quick breakfast ideas :)

~ Oatmeal - you could try making it the night before. McCann Irish oatmeal has an instant oatmeal that takes just a few minutes to prepare, you could look into that.
Topping ideas: nut butter, nuts, seeds, berries/fruit, dried fruit, cinnamon, natural jam, honey, agave nectar, milk or non-dairy milk or greek yogurt, etc.
* Non-dairy milk like - almond, soy, rice or coconut milk.
- For example oatmeal with berries and greek yogurt

~ Healthy cereal (such as Kashi or Nature's Path Organic cereals - high in fiber low in sugar) with milk, non-dairy milk or greek yogurt. You can also add in some fresh fruit like berries, banana slices, peach slices, etc.

~ Greek yogurt with fruit or fruit salad. You can also add some nuts, seeds or ground flax seed. Add a hard boiled egg or two if you'd like.

~ Omelet with lots of veggies and a little cheese. Paired with whole grain toast, fresh fruit with yogurt.

~ Whole grain tortilla spread lightly with cream cheese, filled with egg whites & baby spinach + fruit

~ Whole grain toast with nut butter & jam or slices of banana. Paired with a yogurt or a hard boiled egg.

~ Cottage cheese with 1-2 eggs (boiled, scrambled, etc.). Add fresh fruit or whole grain toast if you'd like.

~ Cottage cheese with fruit/berries - for example sliced peach, pineapple chunks or berries. You could pair this with almonds.

~ Smoothie: blending milk of your choice, yogurt, berries/fruit and add ground flax seed to if you want + whole grain toast with peanut butter or almonds

~ Toasted whole grain flax waffle with nut butter and slices of banana & cinnamon or natural jam

~ Parfait made with greek yogurt, berries, organic granola or muesli - you could also add in some almonds or walnuts, for example

~ Toasted whole grain english muffin spread with cream cheese, with a poached or boiled egg, baby spinach, sliced tomato, slice of cheese + fruit

~ Rye bread with avocado and hard boiled eggs

I need (not want) to gain weight (I'm only a little bit underweight my bmi is 17.5) but I want to do it healthily

I hate the fact that I have to gain weight but I know I will be healthier when I'm in a healthy weight range, I just wanna know if that breakfast is healthy or not?

I think it's around 300-350 calories

Quick, easy, cheap, and healthy meals?

I've been wanting to make the foods that I eat much more healthier.

The problem is that my mom works all day, does her homework (she attends college online), then falls asleep.
Our food consists of fast food, pizza, and TV dinners.

I've been wanting to start cooking for my brothers, but we obviously have no spices or foods in the house since my mom doesn't cook.
My doctor has been telling me to eat healthier, which is difficult when all we eat is TV dinners...

My mom won't be very happy with spending a lot of money at the store...so what are some cheap meals that I could make easily for my two brothers and myself? And I'm sure my mom would be thrilled if she came home to dinner.

We're going grocery shopping tomorrow, so please help me by listing some things to get.

Quick, Easy, Healthy, Yummy Banana Bread

Ingredients:

Serves: 12,

Yield:

1

loaf

1 cup mashed ripe banana (about 2 medium)
3/4 cup sugar (or splenda)
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 large egg white
1 large egg
1 3/4 cups flour
1 1/4 teaspoons cream of tartar
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Method:

1 Preheat oven to 350.
2 Combinen first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; beat with a mixer at medium speed until smooth.
3 Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a bowl, stirring with whisk. Add flour misture to banana mixture, stirring just until moist.
4 Spoon batter into an 8x4 inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray.
5 Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Cool 10 minutes in pan on a wire rack; remove from pan. Cool completely on rack.
6 To freeze, wrap tightly in plastic wrap, and place in a heavy-duty plastic bag. Good for up to a month

Vegetarian Black Bean Soup

Ingredients:

2 15 ounce cans black beans, undrained
1 16 ounce can vegetable broth
1/2 cup salsa
1 tbsp chili powder
shredded cheese (optional)
sour cream (optional)
chopped onion (optional)
fresh chopped cilantro (optional)

Preparation:
Mash one can of black beans with potato masher or food processor.

Pour both cans of beans into medium saucepan. Add vegetable broth, salsa, and chili powder. Bring to a boil. If desired top with shredded cheese, sour cream, onion, and cilantro.
