What Is Scottish Power Secondary And Primary Consumption Charge

Why does Indian government not encourage its own companies?

The question is ambiguous. Indian government, though as an entity, is steady, the people within it's offices come and go.Through decades, most plum and powerful positions have been held captive by the khangress. The license Raj has played havoc in giving permissions and funds to not only government, but also private sector industries. Little can be expected from various 'unions' too, who shout loud for their 'rights' but never live up to be worthy of any. Most industries are either loss making PSUs or jagirs of local politicians to siphon off funds for their own consumption. The sugar lobby is one such thing. If the question is somehow aimed at HAL , then least said the better. The process of recruiting labour or officers is marred with nepotism. Only about 30% of those enrolled are worth their credentials. Out of those, only 30% actually work. For for a plane which requires 2 months of rigor, the company has to waste 4 months more to complete. And that too is dubious. So, whatever governance that is asked from honest employees would rather stall any work coming to such sick units. Delivery of order matters to them as they want a lean and mean organization, not a parasitic one.

What are barriers to China's economic growth?

I am not a China expert, but according to what I've read recently, here are apparently some significant barriers to future economic growth in Communist China.Corruption - The World Bank estimated that 3% of China's GDP is consumed by corruption.Human Rights - A number of organizations globally have stated that the lack of many basic human rights in China are a significant barrier to China's economic growth.Pollution - China has the distinction of being the most polluted country in the world. A World Bank study estimated that 750,000 people per year die prematurely due to exposure to polluted air or water, or both. The environment in China is horrifying. Even though there have been many announcements about China's investments into green tech, the ecological situation in China is still getting worse, unfortunately.Water - Much of China faces water shortages in many areas that could prevent economic development. Desertification is rampant in large parts of the country.Aging Population - China's draconian one child policy has lead to a situation where the population is aging very quickly.Communist Government - The non-democratic, Communist Party government could unilaterally and quickly decide to reverse course on any economic policy at any time. Historically, the government has shown its ability to quickly move to do anything to maintain its power. There are probably other issues as well, such as Tibet and Xinjiang. These are the ones I could think of off the top of my head that could be barriers to growth. Hopefully, China will continue to grow and things will change for the best for the Chinese people and the entire world.

Why does America use 110v as single phase voltage but Europe and Asia use 230v? What benefits does it draw?

The US isn’t the only country to use 110v single phase. Another country is Japan. There are several reasons:The reason why specifically 110v is because that is roughly the conductance resistance of dry skin. So you can touch a live 110v wire without getting a shock. If your hands are wet or say you’re covered in sweat then that will still shock you.Because the risk of shock is lower the need for an earthing wire is removed. This simplifies electronics and wiring, saving costs and reducing the space needed.Where human populations are high but power generation is relatively low this can be used in conjunction with other measures to minimise the electric load each person places upon the system (per capita). No need for clunky earthing rods or expensive safety procedures.Note:Just because there may be a large domestic usage of 110v single phase power that doesn’t mean there aren’t higher voltage systems used in the domestic setting. For example, in the UK many commercial kitchens will use 350v 3-phase voltage even though the majority of domestic usage is 240v single phase.Compare these plugs:On the left a Japanese style 110v plug. On the right a UK style 240v plug. These images are to the same scale. You can quickly see that the UK plug is a lot larger and more cumbersome. It is more complicated to make, has more parts and more points of failure. E.g. the fuse can blow or the wrong fuse can be fitted. The pin protection system in sockets can easily become broken due to plugs being forced. Here’s a North American plug and socket:And here’s the equivalent for the UK 240v system:Although this time these images are not exactly to scale you can still see that UK sockets take up more space.Once you multiply this space usage several times the difference becomes bigger:So, I’d say the primary reason is because of simplicity. 110v won’t shock you so easily and when it does it’s less likely to kill you. It saves a lot of money when multiplied over millions of people.

What are the three types of economic system that exist in the world?

So you have the free - market economy, aka capitalist or laissez fair. This is where the government doesn’t run things, the allocation of resources are handled by the private sector (businesses, corporations etc). Then you have the communist, where the government is in full control of the allocation of resources. This is like Cuba with Castro, and Venezuela. Then you got the mixed market economy where you have intervention from both the govt and private sector. There are other economic systems which arent very popular, like the traditional system. This one doesn’t use money as currency, they use the old barter system where they trade their goods for other goods. Only like 2 or 3 countries have this

Why can't the USA have a better healthcare system?

The United States has the best health system in the world, if you can pay for it. Not everyone has the same financial means. It’s the whole “free market” thing. The answer is not so clear cut as “gimme healthcare.” The best and clearest examples I can think of for why a universal healthcare system isn’t all it’s cracked up to be is:A: Canadians come down to the US for medical procedures all. the. time. They do it because the wait lists are often god awful. Even for primary care. 52,000 of them did in 2015.B: Anyone ever hear about this thing called the Department of Veterans Affairs? Scandals? Wait times? Cooking the books? …government doesn’t really have all that great a track record at managing people’s healthcare. More government oversight, more inefficiency. More free market, greater market efficiency, greater access to all.One of the greatest problems with out healthcare system in fact is Medicaid and all the fraud waste and abuse that goes on within it as well as the way it distorts equitable pricing. God forbid anyone mentions meaningful reform. Next thing you know you are Torquemada with a basket of kittens next to a wood-chipper in the media.
