Today's little mini press conference...talking about the sanctions against Russia. He says it like he's in la-la-land...like he can do whatever he wants. I'm worried Russia is going to counter back more strongly...like they've been the last several weeks. I wish we'd just let it go...and let Russia have Crimea . Watcha think Russia's next move will be ? And should we back down from all the tough talk ?
Who is smarter, Donald J. Trump or Vladimir Putin?
Vladimir Putin.The guy was a former KGB officer during the times of the Soviet Union, so not only does he know about how spying works and how Russian law works, but he also likely has some experience in physically kicking people in the arse.He was intelligent enough to bring Russia out of one of the worst economic situations in its history (the Soviet collapse did a number on its economy), and under his leadership, his country’s military is coming back from beyond the grave and is now becoming one of America’s most feared opponents.Under his leadership, the country has won a few wars, like the Second Chechen war and the War on Georgia.Plenty of evidence also suggests that he has complete control over some key media, such as RT (Russia Today). So, he knows how important propaganda is.Some people also claim that, under Putin’s orders, Russia was able to alter the 2016 US elections. I don’t know if that’s true, but if it is, 1) America deserved it anyways, and 2) it shows that Putin is smarter than everyone thinks.He also knows how to get rid of his opponents, like a true politician/evil genius.Plus, he knows how to look fabulous.I mean, just look at that hairstyle.Meanwhile, Tiny Cheetohands (aka Donald Trump) has a crappy hairstyle. Look at it!It appears as though a yellow rat has crawled on top of his head and decided to rest there.Plus, unlike the rat, he doesn’t have much brains. Before becoming president, several of his businesses went under, and he has also said things that are very controversial indeed.Plus, he picked the worst cabinet anyone has ever seen. It’s so bad, in fact, that we’re having people leaving left and right. Sean Spicer is supposedly getting replaced by, of all things, a liberal-turned-“conservative.”I suppose the only smart thing about him is that, like Putin, he knew the power of media and used that to his advantage.NOTE: Now, that does not mean that I (totally) respect him. I think Putin is a corrupt person who cares about himself more than his country. Not to mention that he’s censoring those that oppose him.But I will say that I think that he’s a genius, even if he’s an evil genius. For that, I give him some mad props.

Obama and Goldberg have a symbiotic relationship going on: The White House grants The Atlantic/Goldberg unparalleled access, which helps the magazine sell more copies and helps Goldberg beef up his prestige among his peer group and readers, and in exchange they get a sympathetic interviewer who tosses softballs to the president, and peddles his awful foreign policy (esp. with regard to Israel) to an important and influential voting group (liberal Jews) as the best thing any president has ever done.
Why Putin attacks Ukraine, has he gone crazy?
He doesn't care about his own economics. The Russians have got so zombified with Putins TV, that they'll support the war even if IPhone and PC imports stop. A Russian mystic D.Andreev described that as a nation controlled by "imperial state demon". It's an ugly man politics -- when your rating falls, and chaos wrecks the country, lets attack a weak neighbor, and the "small victorious war" brings ratings up. But this time it's different: Putin has got into complex war. The fighting in Eastern Ukraine goes with losses on both sides, and Putins militants get killed much more often then he would like.

The Republican party as a whole includes Russian critics like Mitt Romney who’s concerns about Russia were brushed off by a dismissive Obama:“The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because… the Cold War’s been over for 20 years”There is obvious concern over Russia’s actions in spreading hacked DNC emails, but it’s total wild speculation that actual collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia was what caused that.Personal opinion time: Most likely thing is that Russia was pissed about sanctions imposed by Obama’s government and didn’t want to see continuity of those policies. As an added bonus, Trump has a weird hard on for autocrats. So, Russia launched a covert operation to uncover dirt on Clinton’s campaign. Lucky for them the DNC had a bunch of ugly, incriminating emails that if brought to light would damage the Clinton campaign.In my opinion, Trump was the beneficiary of an international beef between Putin and Obama.
