What is 'misdirection' in comedy?
A guy is clubbing a baby seal. Another guy sees him and goes, "Oh my god!! That's awful! How dare you! Stop!!" And he runs up to the first guy and takes the club away from him and says, "You're getting blood on my favorite club!!"You're expecting the joke to be about how bad clubbing baby seals is, and that's the misdirection, as the punchline is about something else. Misdirection sets up an expectation and betrays it.

Does Trump use misdirection and create problems to get other objectives passed?
All politicians in the big leagues do. Obama did it, Bush did it, Clinton did it, what… you HONESTLY think this is all stuff we should take at face value? America is TRULY naïve to believe Trump is as silly as he lets on and somehow the powers that be are powerless to him. What America is being fed, is theater. The government will do what it wants, when it wants, how it wants, and will have America so busy fighting with one another they have zero clue that they are nothing more than the slaves to the almighty dollar through tax and inflation.Slavery is quite something when you can convince the slaves you are there for their own benefit, thus they keep voting for either wing of the same bird to keep them slaves to you. It is even crazier once they fight to protect their slavery.Wanna get conservatives solidified to vote for the right wing? Protect their “right to bear arms”, but act like it is under attack so they clinch to whomever will keep their “right to bear arms” which has already been regulated beyond belief. Promise them that they are free with this.Wanna keep Democrats/Liberals voting for the left wing? Promote a slice of socialism expressing how you are there to help them and help others. After-all, who doesn’t want a big daddy to make life easier?Either way, both sides inevitably will still be paying taxes, still be working their 9–5, and still be fighting eachother over whom believes what.
