Why do some people think English dubbed anime is horrible?
I don’t dislike “English dubbed anime”.I just dislike badly dubbed anime. It just happens that in 99% of the cases, one of the following is true:The dubbing quality is bad.The person who wrote the script understands neither English nor Japanese.The original is just way better.For me, the phrase that describes dubbed anime isVoice actors in Japan are treated as celebrities (the major ones). They are paid lots of money, and there is honor in their profession. When it comes to dubbers, very often you have unprofessional voice actors just looking to make a quick buck. And it doesn’t help that they aren’t seen as proper voice actors by the general population.Also, dubs are quite weird to watch.Hey, if you’re gong to watch a Japanese anime, with all elements Japanese as well as being made in Japan, better watch it in Japanese right?Would you watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S with a bad dub?No?Then why would I watch something like this?The voices make me cringe too…Basically, dubs lack emotion, clarity, and feel.This is not to say that all dubs are bad. There are good dubs too, but many of them are outclassed by the original.For example, Steins;Gate has a great dub. But the Japanese voice acting is so far beyond even it’s own fellow Japanese voices that the dub hardly any attention.There are some dubs though, that are way better than the original. Hyperdimension Neptunia for example.But the dub for Ghost Stories takes the number one place for BEST dub ever.The original bombed so hard, so that the company told the dub voice actors to do whatever they want. Im 13, i know im not old but i was kinda mean and my dad would hit me bust my lip break my noes and im a very small girl and I never told anyone and I would cut myself everyday it got to points were i almost killed myself i once had to go to the hospital and get blood.my mom knew the whole time what was happening she even hit me and slapped me. i remember one time when my dad banged my head on the kitchen cabinet, and i passed out. Well i finally told my grandma and she got so mad and she told them if they ever touched me again she would kill them in their sleep, then she said no i couldn't give u the peace of killing u in ur sleep ill come to ur door and shoot ur *** right there. I swore if i haven't of told my grandma i would be dead. Please tell someone this is ur life U DESERVE BETTER AND UR SISTER just cause ur family is screwed up in the head Doesn't mean ur life has to be hell please please tell i'm begging you...Much much much Luck from ~ Sarah P.s. Why are so many people against social workers and CPS?
Because they abuse their power and investigate the stuffing out of situations that don't warrant an investigation, but were just brought on by nosy neighbors or psychotic teachers or vindictive relatives. I wish the government would mind its own business and let families solve their own problems. They removed my children from the home because I called 911 after I started BLEEDING out my ear all over my pillow. I tried to call my husband at my night job. The ambulance and police came, and the police started rooting around our cabinets and fridge and claimed we didn't have food in the house for them. We WERE running low, because my HUSBAND was going to get groceries after his graveyard shift. HELLO? Then they decided I was faking the injury. Then they started getting nosy about my then-6-year-old son's problems at school (he was diagnosed a year later with high functioning autism -- we were LOOKING INTO his issues already and did NOT need their help or their bull **** in house counselor who came to our house and made us watch idiotic parenting videos, then got mad when we missed appointments with her or didn't come to the door) We had done NOTHING to warrant this humiliation and we fought them all the way. As proof that they were just harassing us, as soon as I inherited money and we moved to a better neighborhood, and threatened to get a REAL lawyer, they disappeared from our lives. Meanwhile, they left three girls I know in an abusive household where they were punished by having their heads shoved in the toilet for EIGHT YEARS of their parents addiction and drug use (for the 9 year old at any rate). They waited until two boys I know were abused so bad one of them had his JAW BROKEN before permanently severing their mother's rights and not forcing them to visit her from their foster home any more. But they had all kinds of time to harass us over nothing? Because all three cases happened in the same state, so it was the same messed up system. They are full of bull **** and I will never trust even one of them for a moment. But I should maybe soften my view if I want to adopt a daughter from foster care one day, even though I'm super pissed that in this girl's case, they allowed her siblings to be adopted by a family without her and now she's all alone. *******.
