Huawei MediaPad M5 is the best you can buy so far. Equipped a Hisilicon 960 Processor, 4GB Ram and 64GB Rom. 1080p IPS. There are very few choices available. Apple iPad mini4 is way too old, Samsung seems discountinued their tablet line. Xiaomi or Huawei are 2 popular choices. However, Snapdragon 660 cannot really compare with Kirin960. 7 inches is too small for a tablet?
I'm looking to buy a good tablet this Black Friday, but I'm confused on which size to buy. It's incredibly easy to find 7 inch tablets, but my friend tells me that they're too small. It's like having a slightly bigger phone. There's the 8-9 inch tablets, but they're very hard to find. Then there's the 10 inch ones. I see a good amount of them, but my same friend says that's too big. Like 9 inches in the sweet spot. What do you think?

What is the best 8 inch tablets I need it mainly for reading and to study?
After much research into the tablets available, I recently purchased a second-hand Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4″ LTE (also WiFi Only) tablet, and I love it! This device has a quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM and a 1600 x 2560 pixel AMOLED screen. I realize that the model is now 4 years old (although mine was manufactured in January 2015) but if you want true value-for-money, I found it a great buy =)

Can I type a paper on a tablet?

I have worked extensively with tablets, in particular the Samsung Nexus10 and speaking form my own experiences, in addition to the tablet keyboard (which is a must), you will also likely need to get some kind of stand for it, especially if you are planning to do a lot of typing. In my personal experience the ten inch tablets are a bit too large for comfortable use to hold in your hand in a lecture hall. They are much better if they are in a stand and on a desk, and only with a keyboard as you described. The Nexus 7 is able to fit in more places, and is not as hard to hold, more like a phone/phablet than a notebook/laptop, of course it's also easier to lose...
Are tablet cases universal? As in, if I buy an 8 inch case for a Dell Venue 8 will it also fit the Acer Iconia W4 which is also 8 inches? Are the tablet cases universal for each category?
They are not universal. Because of two reasons:Display size is not everything: 8 inch is just the display size. There are bezels. For some models they're are large. This affects the width and height of the device.Thickness matters: Cases won't fit well on a device with different thickness.Still I won't say a case designed for one tab won't work with another one. It'll work if they have similar dimensions. Check the dimensions of the devices before buying them.
