What Is The Best Aircondition Brand

What are the best central air conditioner brands?

I recently put a great deal of time into this question because I needed a new AC. I had a 24 year old Trane that was still running, but because of the age of the unit I was a little afraid it would give out on me. A few things I found out in my search that swayed my decision.Lennox has had a class action law suit for inferior components. That made up my mind as far as that brand went.Trane had one of the highest customer satisfaction ratings over time.Almost any AC brand will do just fine in the first five year. It’s after that when things start going wrong. The person who installs your AC has as much to do with the success of your unit as the equipment itself. So, do not hire just anybody to do the install. The high SEER rated variable speed motor units are well worth the extra money, even though they are substantially more expensive than the base models. There are only a handful of AC manufacturers out there. They just make a lot of different brands. So, in the end I went with an 18 SEER, 5 ton unit from Trane. It’s only been a month but I’m very happy with it even though it cost me $13,500.So in the end I decided that the Best Central Air Conditioner Brand 2018 is Trane.

What is the best brand of air conditioning? Fujitsu or Carrier?

While Fujutsu has been making various electronic items over the past few years that seem of reasonable quality, Carrier has been making Air Conditioners for decades and have a great reputation.

Carrier would have my vote, but there might be other factors such as cost to consider.

Brand new Haier Air Conditioner won't cool?

My lovely dad installed this window air conditioner unit in my apartment. But it won't cool it's basically only the fan that's working. I don't have the heart to tell him. It's brand new! I called the company and I tried restarting it. I cannot return it because I would have to carry it to a maintenance shop somewhere in NJ, that is impossible.

Before I try to get a new one installed, is there anyway left to try to fix it, or some step we could have missed?

What's a good brand of a window air conditioner?

I don't know that you can get reliable units - as in long service life - any more. The Chinese have cut so many corners in their designs and with their prices so far below what an American manufacturer has to charge they have destroyed any ability for American manufacturers to make long-lived windows AC units.

I will recommend not getting Haier units. They are noisy.

The problem with small AC window units is that to get a lot of capacity in a small box they have to use a smaller blower fan, but then they have to run the fan at a high motor speed. The noise from that higher speed grates on my nerves. I've got three Haier window AC units, two of them are 10,000 BTU and one is 5,000 BTU.

The other problem - with any window AC unit - is removing the condensed water from the unit. The way these units are designed they try to sling the water against the heat exchanger fins outside so as to help cool the refrigerant better, but if the air has a lot of dust or dirt that ends up coating the heat exchanger fins. So you have to make sure the fins are kept clean. The Haier units have very little spacing between the fins so they clog up fast.

Another problem with the Haier units is that in a high humidity environment the water accumulates really fast and the sling design does not remove it very effectively, and the water can then back up into the house and drool there. I had to drill a hole to ensure the water would drain out to prevent this back up. One window unit removes over 5 gallons of water a day (old house has way too many air leaks).

Good luck.

Are these chinese brands of air conditioners any good: Chigo, Changhong, Aux?

I'm in the US and I'm considering buying 2 split type ACs from these manufacturers. Changhong seems to be the only company who offers corner type splits. Their full names are: Changhong Air Conditioner Company (changhongac.com) est. 1999, Ningbo Aux Electric Appliance Factory (anxingaux.com) est. ?, and China Chigo Air Conditioning Co., Ltd. (chigo.co.za) est. 1989
