What Is The Best Brand Of Minoxidil You Can Get For Hair Re-growth

How effective is Minoxidil for hair growth?

I will give you my experience with Minoxidil 5%:When I started using it, the Hair fall increased initially. This typically happens when you start using Minoxidil. Also, there was some itching. After a month or so, the Hair fall reduced to a great extent. Also, the strength of hair increased. I could wave my hand through my Hair and would not get a single hair in my hand. But the scalp became sticky.Minoxidil basically stopped my hair from falling by jamming my Hair follicles. Typically, each hair follicle has a cycle where Hair falls when it becomes old and weak. It is replaced by new Hair. Minoxidil forcibly pauses that cycle. After an year, I stopped using Minoxidil because although the rate of balding reduced to a great extent, I was still loosing hairline and was balding slowly. This is because I have genetic Male Pattern Baldness.Once I stopped using Minoxidil, there was a lot of Hair Fall because all the old hair which were stuck in the follicle because of Minoxidil started falling. The rate of Hair fall and Hair line recession was even more than the time before I started using it.My Opinion :A) Use it only if you are ready to put Minoxidil on your head for all the remaining years of your life (the dosage might reduce in future).B) If you have genetic/Male pattern Baldness then Minoxidil can only delay your baldness. It slows down the process and you may get an extra 2–3 years. But you will eventually go bald.C) If your Hair fall is not because of genetic reasons, then it might definitely help you more.D) It only prevents further Hair Loss. It does NOT recover lost follicles/hairline.PS: I started shaving my head while I was balding. I liked how I looked. It gave me confidence and I got out of the entire “Going Bald” stress & depression. I am a happy bald guy now who is doing everything you dream of :P

Which Minoxidil solution is best, 5% or 10%?

Minoxidil 5% normal hair lossMinoxidil 10% severe hair lossMinoxidil applied topically to the scalp only works if your hair loss is a result of female or male pattern baldness and not some other condition,Normally, hair grows about half of an inch each month. Each hair grows for up to six years, then it stops growing, rests for a while, and eventually falls out and is replaced by a new hair that grows for six years. If your hair is growing normally, about 85 percent of it is growing at any given time and 15 percent of it is resting. But if you have female pattern baldness, your hair follicles get smaller and smaller over time, Dr. Yang says. The smaller they are, the shorter the amount of time your hair grows. Eventually, when strands of hair fall out, they’re not replaced with normal new hair, but instead by thinner, finer strands of hair.Minoxidil is the only drug which is FDA-approved to treat female pattern baldness. It works by prolonging the growth phase of the hair follicles, Yang says. It’s recommended that women use minoxidil 2%, while men can use the 5% formula. In most women, minoxidil slows down or stops hair loss. And in up to a quarter of the women who take it, minoxidil can actually encourage new hair to grow. It works best when you use it as soon as you notice that you’re losing hair,It’s available over the counter, so you don’t need a prescription from a doctor to get it. However, Yang encourages everyone to see a primary care doctor or a dermatologist before beginning treatment, because there could be a medical problem that’s causing the hair loss, such as thyroid dysfunction or nutritional abnormalitiesYou can make natural minoxidil solution Peppermint Oil - The Best Minoxidil Alternative? - Satthwa BlogSubscribe me on you tube channel Cocoa Sonaliofficial for more hair care videos.

Does minoxidil for hair loss actually work?

To answer this question you need to understand a few basics to hair growth and loss.Hair grows from a bulb of stem cells in your skin. It also grows at different phases which is why you need repeated treatments to get rid of unwanted hair. While it’s not important to be an expert, it’s good to be educated so you can make the right decision. There are three different phases to hair growth:Anagen phase: this is when the hair is active and growing. This lasts about 3-5 yearsCatagen phase: this phase lasts a couple of weeks and is when your hair is getting ready to shedTelogen phase: this is the phase in which hair follicles rest; it can last up to 4 monthsDihydrotestosterone or DHT is the hormone responsible for hair growth during puberty and also hair loss as we age. The general consensus is DHT blocks communication to the stem cells at the base of the hair follicles. When the stem cells aren’t receiving signals to grow hair. So, you have dormant stem cells in your cells are in a prolonged Telogen phase. The good news is that there is a lot of research being done at the moment to “wake up” dormant stem cells.Minoxidil is a vasodilator which, in English, means it causes an increase of blood flow to the area that it is applied to. The mechanism of action on hair regrowth is not completely understood. But, it does work to a certain extent. As long as you have reasonable expectations of seeing regrowth in the 20–30% range you should be alright. Also, keep in mind that it takes awhile to stimulate the hair to regrow, so patience is key. As for a preventative measure it probably will help to a certain degree. That being said, if you have concerns or more questions make an appointment with your local Dermatologist or General Practitioner.

Is minoxidil effective to grow a BEARD?

Minoxidil is used to fight baldness. I have read through a lot of blogs that minoxidil really helps a lot in growing a beard, almost every blog and site recommends it, BUT I found 1 site, that is entirely dedicated to online distribution of minoxidil, that says it won't help to grow a beard, as it hasn't been tested in that zone.
Is that true? Is minoxidil effective for growing a beard or not?

I know the treatment is about 1 month long (seeing results after the first 2 weeks), but are the results "permanent"? Or will I need to keep buying it as long as I want the hair?

Finally, do you know any other method to grow facial hair? Thanks :D.

Using Minoxidil Pills for Hair Loss?

Minoxidil was first developed as a stage 4 blood pressure medication. The reason it eventually was used to treat hair loss was due to one of its side effects. It caused a condition called black hairy tongue. And yes, the condition is exactly as it sounds.

So, before popping those pills I would consult a doctor.

Does minoxidil 2% for women really work?

I'm giving it a try because the cheaper store versions (I am trying Wally-worlds Equate brand) seem to get good reviews. But I'm always skeptical of online reviews so I want real feedback from real women. I have always had super fine hair and now that I'm in my mid 40's the sides and even the top near my hair line is so thin you can see scalp! Not only do I want new hair growth but I'd also love tips on how to grow my fine hair out a little bit, just a couple inches below the shoulders, (I know anything more is not gonna happen). Thanks ladies!

What is a good affordable brand of Minoxidil available in India?

I think this minoxidil: D.A.L Pharma Minoxidil 5% With Finestaride 0.1% Topical Solution - Price in India, Buy D.A.L Pharma Minoxidil 5% With Finestaride 0.1% Topical Solution Online In India, Reviews, Ratings & Features | Flipkart.comIt is quite cheap as compared to other minoxidil products with some good reviews.Other one which I found good but a little expensive is this: Rogaine - Men's Hair Regrowth Treatment Foam Unscented One Month Supply - 2.11 oz.As you are a female minoxidil has many side effects including infertility in later stages. You can use a combination of redenser serum and nutriderm anti hair loss lotion recommended for me by my dermatologist. Here is the link for both products: 1. Neutriderm Anti-Hair Loss Lotion 250 ml:Amazon:Beauty2. Redenser Serum, 60mlBut this will be a little expensive. You should try this if you can afford it.otherwise you should go for natural methods which will be much more cheaper. I have mentioned a few in my answer: What is the best way to rectify hair loss?Hope this helps! :)
