those who do their jobs from the heart,and love what they do, should it be doctors, nurses, law inforcement, firefighters, teachers, etc,etc...those who heal the sick, protect the innocent, and most of allits those give kids the ability to grow up to be part of this world, may it be intertainment, sports,inventing things to better themselves or others, it could be anyone of these jobs, but its gotta be the ones who do what is right for others, may be lifting up the homeless, building homes for the needed ones, and those who put food on the table for those who are in need, guess i covered a few, you know they're are more, just thought i would mention these, and lets dont forget our military men & women, but then u ask who we thought had the best job didnt you, i guess its charlie brown or beatle baily...............happy trails....

In practice, it really is nothing like that, in 2011 - True, it used to be a nice career 40-50 years ago - Now, you should have your head examined by psychiatrist if you want to be one - Spending $100,000 or more in training and education...? To be hired by a regional airline and be paid $18,000/yr as first officer...? Is being a parent the best job in the world?
As already noted, being a parent is only metaphorically a job at all. It can be a challenge and for some a curse. Generally speaking, the better you are at it the more fun it is. There is a pretty immediate feedback loop involved so you get fast responses on how well you are doing at it. So it can be very rewarding in the short term. And since you are investing your life in that of another it can pay dividends for a long, long time after you have stopped really contributing to it. That's probably what people are referring to.
