What Is The Best Of Every Sense

What does "In every sense of the word" mean?

I think a lot of English speakers use this expression poorly.I like the definition and example used by Betsy Riley below: asylum can be good (“refuge,” a place of sanctuary) and bad (“a nuthouse” full of crazies). That suggests the expression “in every sense of the word” carries with it a hidden insult, or a hidden warning — watch out, Cambridge is full of nutters. We sometimes use this as a strong compliment:Sean Connery is a movie star in every sense of the word: he is handsome, bold, outspoken and confident. That’s very common, but I think it is not necessarily correct.

What does "In every sense of the word" mean?

Here I'll give you an example. Tom says, "frank is gay in every sense of the word." the word gay means a couple of different things. Mainly it means homosexual but another meaning is "happy". Therefore Tom is saying that frank is a happy homosexual. So when someone says " in every sense of the word" they intend to apply every possible meaning of their word ( ie "gay" ) to the subject that they are referring to. Hope that helps!

Am I gay for my best friend?

So... there's this boy who I've been absolutely inseparable with since I was 4 years old. We're best friends, completely and utterly in every sense of the word. I'm 17 now, and the two of us are still just as close. We do everything together and we've actually been through more than you can believe. I have a girlfriend... we've had on and off relationships since the third grade which is actually kind of crazy. I used to really like her and the sight of her made me extremely sick to my stomach. I thought that was normal, like a crush type thing... but maybe it wasn't?
I'd always get so ******* jealous when my best friend would even TALK to my girlfriend and he actually never liked the fact that the two of us dated because she was pretty bad to me.
The two of us still have sleepovers in the same bed and sleep extremely close because it's what we did when we were younger.

I don't know what to do...

What is the best way to find solution to every problem of life?

First of all, if the problem is really troubling you, accept the problem and don't escape it. Never let the problem dominate you and under estimate your self. You are a part of the universe and awesome in every sense. Think about the worst thing that the problem could lead you into - This is will tell you the actual weightage and priority of the problem.Ask the right questions. As Albert Einstein quotes it , “If I had an hour to solve a problem, I would spend 55 minutes thinking about the problem and 5 minutes to search for solution”As you dig deeper into the problem by asking WHY ? that it is troubling you, you can break the problem into chunks. What is the actual problem ?What is the root cause ?Is solving this problem alligned with my priorities of life or am i just flirting ?What is the solution for this problem right row ?What could be an optimal solution so that I am preventive next time ?Most problems occur because we chose to take challenge or adventure, but expected it to go smooth. Some wise man said good enough, A Mistake should be your teacher and not your attacker. It is a lesson and not a loss.If it's an interpersonal problem - relationships, friendship etc , it is always advisory to spend some time understanding the problem from the other person's perspective. We are sometimes so dwelled in our vision about things, that we forget how differently things could be seen and felt. In such problems, if possible, it is better to listen empathically to the other person and notice the change in behavior. For basic problems in life, troubleshooting or solving a silly maths question, you can rely on Google or always take help of an expertise. Never be shy to take help.P.S - To be a better problem solver in general, Read books. You can gain years of wisdom by flipping few pages.

For those with sensory processing disorder, is every sense affected?

No, it is a spectrum and if you tick enough of the boxes then you qualify. Lucy Miller who coined the term describes SPD as existing when enough “sensory signals don’t get organised into an appropriate response and the child’s routines and activities are disorganised as a result.”Lucy Miller describes three subtypes modulation, motor and discrimination in her book “sensational kids” . in my view there are many many possible combinations as well as many overlaps with the other labels we affix to children - ASD APD AHDH etc.So while SPD always involves multiple senses, it does not necessarily involve all the senses. The key is to understand the causes of the patterns of behaviour that you Live with so that you can become equipped to chose an effective and efficient intervention.Www.Listen4Life.Com
